    World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen tops the field for the Opera Euro Rapid, the 3rd stage of the Meltwater Champions Chess Tour. The 16-player event will be played online on chess24 from February 6th to 14th and features a $100,000 prize fund, with $30,000 for 1st place.

    Love this Carlsen- Dubov rivalry. When playing against Dubov,Carlsen switches from boring chess engine to a creative player. I know that both players enjoy playing against each other . It's real pleasure to watch their games.

      I just feel like magnus is experimenting or having fun/doesn't care much. All of his games lately have at least one move where he plays something very bold and his opponents take advantage of it. He was not like this back then.

    I really enjoy Dubov chess style of playing. And i enjoy seeing him defeat Carlsen (no disrespect for Carlsen because he is top od the world) but for me Dubov style of game is far far more enjoyable and seeing him defeat Carlsen is really heartwarming (for me)

    Magnus tried the new move against the new move King. I think the book on Dubov is play solid, let him make the gambits and then defend. Kind of like letting an aggressive boxer punch himself out.

    I watched the game online live, Carlsen knew he blundered as soon as Dubov shifted is bishop from C8 to G4. Carlsen was winning by 0.9 and after Dubov shifted his bishop he was losing by 3.9 holding his head in despair and cursing. That's the winning move here.
