its cool how his posture changes when he does those. hes a very talented vocalist, people think he’s just a one trick pony because of his one vocal style he does for K//L. this is a great vid anyway cool to see it
He changes position cause his belly decompresses due to the quick inhalation of air, try it by yourself, you'll feel your dyaphragm pushing up and your back curling. I'm 99% sure he's doing inhale, not only because of the posture but also because that's the typical sound of inhale gutturals, it's mostly air noise where you can barely hear voice sound which is pretty strange considering that it comes out a lot in his main screaming technique. I think he's doing something really clever, it adds different things to the live performance and doesn't require lot of effort like a falsechord or fry growl and probably he doesn't often do it and will never affect so much his lungs in a long period. Also, it sounds fucking gnarly 👹🔥
@@smokehill7912 I would have to disagree with him there. Quite literally nobody as big and popular as them incorporates pig squeals into their music. I’m not asking him to plaster it on all of his songs but I think it would be possible to add some tasteful gutturals here and there. Especially considering he really only deploys one range.
People keep saying some variation of hardcore, but...like...isn't this Sludge Metal? It definitely is musically. I don't know what people think Hardcore is I guess.
@@matthewensign9683 I thought it was called beatdown, unless that's the same thing with different words. But who really cares, the joke is still funny!
I think I've seen him tweet about it before and why he doesn't do them in recordings. If I remember correctly, he brought up bands like Traitors who incorporate them in their music and they don't want to do the same. He has his own unique sound, so they stick to that instead to make them stick out more. He posted a clip from a demo they had where he recorded lows/gutturals in the song to show he can do it as well. It was awhile back, before they even released ADSOB, but I think he may have deleted the tweet. I wish he would do at least some in their recordings, but I understand completely about wanting to have their own sound
@Yussop op your more likely to damage your voice doing inhales, particularly the high ends. Plus doing that and being able to project your voice is a tough one
@Yussop op sure, put the gain up etc. You hear the dynamics though and when he’s actually projecting his voice. The volume from the PA is set, it’s the power your hearing behind the inhales. For instance, without the mic in an empty room. It would still be loud, I can bet on that ;) I’m not a fan of this guys screams, too many vocal cracks for my liking. But I can still appreciate that it’s a tough one to do
Just curious, how did you guys find the video? Literally three weeks ago, this was at 60 views and out of NOWHERE it blew up. Mind you, this was posted three months ago lol
Hasn’t lost it yet, watch their livestream with Rolling Stones. The man isn’t straining his voice at all hardly and has good posture. Bryan is a very talented vocalist with an even better knowledge of vocal diaphragm.
nah it's all good fella, honestly, from a vocalist of over ten years, the frontman doing the more yell-style vocals is much harsher than the gutterals this guy's doing. Gutterals are easier on the voice than even normal vocals, which you'd think would be the other way around. But yeah, unless he sustains an actual for real injury to his voice through some unrelated incident, he's gonna be able to do that for a LOOOOOONG time.
gotta agree that most of these sound like inhales which arent the most sustainable method but despite that i love how he uses them just sprinkled in here and there makes shit just that bit heavier
Pretty sure they’re inhales tbh. I’m not a vocal coach or anything but as an extreme metal vocalist that can do just about any type of vocal technique in this genre, I could pick it out of a line up 9/10.
I had no idea he could nasty like that... the other guy has sick gutterals but I had no idea Bryan could make that sound too... that one during Counting Worms was fucking disgusting!
How to easily show you know nothing about hardcore^ Dude literally just has a consistently high shouted scream and he enunciates well. Nothing is silly or cartoonish abt that unless you’re used to hearing incomprehensible guttural GARBAGE from bands like Carcass
@@brendanf8845 yeah... nah, man, he sounds like Alvin the Chipmunk throwing a tantrum, nothing aggressive, violent or threatening in that, he sounds like a 4 year old shouting at his mom at a toy store

I think the first time I saw them was the Hoosier Dome in ‘15, but the second time was in a church in ‘16 lmao
Same it’s wild ! Was speaking to them and they were like “ yeah we didn’t expect to get this big but big breakdowns”
Bryan & Issac(Backing Vocalist) is a perfect mixture.
Bryan doing the highs while Issac doing the death metal sounds and being angry

Exactly the same as Brendan from Counterparts, his voice in END blows my mind and people seem to forget how versatile he is
Because its Inhale
@@bagaswahyuillahi6009 He doesn't do inhales 🤣
Yeah he has great range. It really shows that he is aware that he doesn't have to throw every vocal style he can do into a song.

@Yussop op I believe The Browning uses them. Not sure.
I kinda like the idea that he doesn't use these vocals in studio. Gives people who go to the shows a little surprise.
