@@EmmanuelAurea EDM is not a subgenre. It's an umbrella term for all percussive and danceable electronic music genres in the world, whether they are mainstream or underground. Trance is a form of EDM, just like House, Techno, Drum & Bass, Dubstep etc.
I am more into techno now, but this old trance is magic. Pure magic.

Yes, the lady who sang the Gladiator song, has a group called Dead can Dance, and she is the one who sang it. Her vocals are very unique in what notes she can hit.

Shivayani77 a great remix but sometimes the DJ gets more credit than deserved. Lets credit Dead Can Dance esp Lisa Gerrard who has maybe the most beautiful voice i have ever heard. Doing soundtracks for "Insider" "gladiator" and Man on FIre to name a few. She is awesome and the Orkidea Original mix was nicely done. Had some good times back in the 1990's listening to awesome trance like this :)

Yup, the good Oak'days. Paul Oakenfold started out spinnin' Goa Trance; did a great mix for Dragonfly records too. God listen to that 303, like gold for the ears and years. This is probably up around 150 BPM; reminds me of Mahdeva by Astral Projection. I wish Oaky would bring back this vibe around the 128 PBM, this is just plain epic.
I love this tune. I have it on the original vinyl press. I’ll never let it go.

Well, Dead Can Dance, Delerium and Front 242 were all on the same record label, so I'm sure they were inspired by each other. And yes, FSOL also sampled Lisa Gerrard on Papua New Guinea. Good times all around!

Yes ! DCD is famous for taking inspiration from world music, in this case - traditional Bulgarian song. I`m from Balkan, same as ComradeBoyanovich and I know when I hear music from my neighbourhood. Nobody is trying to tell this is not DeadCanDance - but telling that this isn`t inspired by Bulgarian folklore is just rude. And kind of thievery
