I found MOC because of you! We started a little later...around 5-6 weeks and our little man was sleeping through the night by 11 weeks. We were lucky enough not to have to do CIO as well. I do remember soothing rounds being hard but it’s so worth it. The Facebook group is also really helpful and everyone is so so supportive! My guy is now 6 months old and sleeps like a dream. I have also found that *untypical days do not affect his nights and I attribute that to the foundation and consistency we’ve created by following the schedule most of the time. Thank you SO much for sharing your experience with MOC. It works!!
Trying MOC method for the first time this week with our 4 week old! He slept in his crib in his own room all night last night for the first time! It wasn’t perfect but we did it 👍🏼 thanks for your review!
It really is amazing when you find a program that works! We did Taking Cara Babies when my 11 month-old was 10 weeks, and I tell every mom/ mom-to-be about her and @takingcarababies because it changed my life. I was curious to see how Mom's on call compares and thought your review was thoughtful and informative. That Rey is just too cute!
nivm9 awww you’re so sweet, thank you! I discovered Taking Cara Babies when I was already doing Moms on call but I’ve heard so many good things about it. My pediatrician told me about TCB when I told him about MOC - he said it sounded a lot like TCB so I looked it up and it definitely has some similarities. So happy we found these life changing tools!!
We are just starting Mom’s on call with our 9 week old daughter! We read Babywise and took the takingcarababies sleep class. Both were so helpful but she’s a highly sensitive baby who becomes overstimulated very fast which means she’s always overtired and miserable pretty much! So I’m to the point where if she needs to sleep the whole night through regularly to be a happier baby and if that means letting her cry a bit - I think I can do it. I’m very nervous and never thought I’d be willing to endure that heartache. But for her health and well-being I’ll give anything a try. 😩🙏
Hi Shana, I’m just watching this video now (Thankyou Chelsea) just wondering how your experience went with the MOC at 9 weeks. My little boy is 8 weeks and same as your daughter with being overtired all the time xx
@@hbou6380 unfortunately it did not help, she just grew out of it. And I wore her in a wrap all day long for a month until she was about 14 weeks to prevent her from getting overtired. This taught her to nap and then she learned to nap in her bed. But ultimately baby wearing saved us! It’s so critical for them to get good sleep during the day at this age. We have a 8 week old the same way right now again and the wrap is all that works for her too. Just have hope! Our older daughter learned to nap amazing and sleep so good.
@@shananeufeld2093 oh dear, what wrap did you use? I’ve tried a baby carrier with mine but it takes me so long to get it on he’s at peak crying at that point and I can’t calm him down in it. Did following the MOC help with night sleep at all?x
@@hbou6380 MOC didn’t help at all and o gave it a good week. :( I found The happy Sleeper book on the kindle app and it was amazing. So so good, wish I had started with that. The wrap I used was the boba ! It’s very stretchy but a bit warm. I now use the solly wraps but I think the boba is more user friendly with the stretch. It takes practice but I watched a UA-cam video and then committed to wearing her in the wrap every day for a week. She hated it for 3 days. I just put headphones in and would vacuum while she cried. BUT she grew to love it and then she got caught up on her daytime sleep and began to sleep amazing at night! Plus then I was able to get her to sleep anywhere, just by bringing the wrap. Until she was about 7 months old I could have her passed out in the wrap anywhere we went. It was so nice to have that option. Sorry this is so long! I really really recommend baby wearing, babies need to be close to mom to feel secure and when they feel secure they are able to sleep independently in time. Read the Happy Sleeper 💛 a friend of mine stuck to her sleep training and had her baby in a separate room from a couple weeks old. Her daughter is 14 months and still doesnt sleep during the day or night. She cries for hours. My guess is all the sleep training damaged her and so she never felt secure knowing her parents would come when she cried. We kept our daughter in our room until 11.5 months and then moved her to her own room and followed the happy sleeper wave method of sleep training. 5 min of crying then you go in and say something and then leave again. Repeat until they are quiet. It worked after one night!! She got mad when we came in but then settled after a few times of us going in. After that she slept 11-12 hrs at night, didn’t wake at all to nurse and she loves going to bed! She has absolutely zero stress associated with sleeping on her own. I hope some of what I wrote can help you! It’s so individualistic. But from what I’ve heard from all my mom friends, you don’t just sleep train once. Every time you go somewhere new, or they are teething or they get sick, you will have to sleep train all over again. In my opinion sleep training shouldn’t happen until about a year old. But that’s just what worked for us. Keep your baby close 💛 he’s overtired and just needs sleep and mom to help him get that sleep. Baby wearing will get easier with practice and it will help your baby learn to fall asleep quickly and enjoy nap time! It’s only a very short short season that you will have to baby wear. Once babies reach 5-6 months or so they get a lot better at handling awake times and then regular naps in their own crib /playpen can become their normal!! 💛
That is a tricky thing, and super common cause those poor babes are sleepy. I used to try tickling her feet and gently blowing on her face. Lots of cheek kissing as well. Do your best!
Is this where they just wake up after 45 minutes? MOC says that is totally normal. Yes, she does do that - not as much anymore but she knows how to put herself back to sleep. If she continued to wake up after 45 minutes and not go back to sleep within 15 minutes then I’d think it was probably time to drop a nap or re arrange the schedule a bit.
@@ChelseaHansen yes, that's what it is. Thanks for the input. We're just dropping the night time feedings, so I don't think she's quite ready for that yet. Probably another month. Just ordered the MOC books! Thanks for the recommendation.
Thanks for watching! I’d love to hear from you... Do you think some babies are just naturally good sleepers? Or all babies need to learn how to sleep?

Great review! ♥️ it’s nice to hear from someone who has used this book and loves it. x
I wish that I had I had this information when my daughter was a newborn

You can do it, mama! The Mom's On Call explains it so well... lead with truth, not fear! Your baby can do it!

Angel Daniel you’re welcome! Thanks for watching! ❤️
Sounds very similar to “The New Contented Little Baby Book” by Gina Ford !
What a great review!
Christine Hoffman thank you! ❤️
Wow !! She soo cute ❤️❤️❤️
I’m at 2 weeks and I struggle keeping my baby awake after feeding and before naps... tips?

I’m definitely a type A too lol
Glad I’m not alone! Haha 😬
Have you ever dealt with the 45 minute intruder problem for naps? We've been trying to figure it out for the last week+.

Did you get her vaccinated?
