It's really funny to know that many avatars are based on Inno employees! 😄 Forge of Empires is my favorite game, and it's great to see their dedication to improving it. Personally, I don't have many complaints and believe they're heading in the right direction
Very nice of them to host your travel and visit, you deserve it. I wish they would update the usefulness of the outdated great buildings, you know, the ones players don't like or build. Re-define what boosts they give to something more relevant to today's game. I remember when an 8% hike in attack boost was a big deal, ha ha! A shrink kit with a boost for the terrace farm would be useful. We receive time boosts, attack boosts and defense boost , etc. but rarely a boost for forge points, would like to see that happen as well. I was going to wish for a way to use the never ending pile of blueprints I have and will never use, but I see from Matt's letter, they have something planned. I am sure I can think of more, but for now I must forge on!

I like the most story about avatars. It's so nice that all of those are real people, who really earn moneys in this company. That's how you see how community looks like and what is target auditory.
I stopped playing Quantum Incursions since they automatically progress the map each day now. I am always playing catch up. I build up some att/def boost and then the next day it's already too low so I lose lots of units. Rinse, repeat. They should just get rid of it.
I'd go for fully leveled settlement buildings and event buildings in the near future, they really help with red and blue attack boosts. Meanwhile you can help out your guild with donating goods/supplies/units to still gain some QI prizes.
I've never spent a penny and can play QI on every difficulty. You've just got to build a strong settlement and get support from your main city if you need a boost.

If they all playing so much, why they need players to tell them whats wrong.... With this power creep, it cant end well. When I started, few years ago, it was quite difficult to get 0,5 FP per tile. Now they want us to spend money on buildings which arent relevant after few months... Im not buying.
I would love to talk to an inno programmer, to learn how various effects are created. My background goes back to COBOL! What game programmers do is magic to me
One of my biggest issues with the game is there is no way to help your guildmates except with forge points and goods. I wished there were more ways to help each other grow but I doubt that will change because Inno might lose money.
Their comment about "we don't expect people to do everything" would feel more honest if the different parts (GBG, GE, QI) were more self-sustained. E.g., why are there no buildings that give QI bonuses in QI?
I've never thought about that, but it's a great point. Like, the Forgotten Temple has a stronger GbG boost than GE, and the Tourney Ground has a stronger boost for GE than GbG. In a perfect world, it should be the other way around. 🤔🤯

Likely never, it's an idea that's been suggested many times and has never been implemented. My guess is they want to keep your city building as a big of a puzzle to figure out :)
That’s a real shame, although it’s a good lesson in maximising space to the hilt, it’s debilitating when you have mastered this skill. Especially when you have re-jigged and cleaned out redundant buildings from your city already and want to place newer buildings, which have been sitting in your inventory. Some will say that diamond expansions are available to make more space, however, this leads back to your comms about paying to play the game. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.
I want to work there so bad. I applied for a job once, but didn’t make it past the second round. 😢😭 I had lots of ideas too! I agree though! Their way to communicate with players is totally outdated.

I wish I met the person who aligned the buttons in Guild Battle Grounds. I would have suggested to place the "start next battle" button a little further to the right in 2 wave battles. It has become the bane of my existence. 🤣
Question. in the fifth level of the GE, when playing on my PC the position of the Defend button moves. Sometimes it is in the middle and sometimes on the end. Please ask Inno why? Thanks for all you videos
Great video as always. Just wondered you mentioned at the end about GB revamps, is this something that deffo happing in the near future? As most guildies have stating deleting the less useful buildings like traz, CoA etc.
You won’t agree, but… GvG is still the best thing this game ever produced. The game on my world now is down to one single guild (the one I’m in and have been for many years) owning it all… everything. They win 1st in QI, and GbG every single season, but once in a while miss first in GE due to unavoidable members that something comes up with. The competition is by and large gone. I’m a top 100 player and yet I’m 27th in guild. I was the 25th player in our world to build a 180 ARC (which was before the crazy FP boom)… now half the guild has 180s. Just not the same game when the competition disappears and it gets boring. Just saying. Lots of people quitting because of the lack of challenge or they can never win.
Inno should fly me out. Been playing for 12 years, and I play 8 cities every day. I do GE/qi on them all, and gbg on most. I do around 200 attrition on my main, about 100 on 4 others, and 80 on the others. Yall seem like casuals.
Im sorry but to me the specializiation talk is bs. You cant specialize ... because if you do you put yourself in a disadvantage. Most "competetiv" players enjoy GBG the most. The most efficient GBG buildings are available in QI. In order to get those you need QI-Boosts, most of which are available through GE and Settlements. But QI-Boosts alone wont help you at all, you have to be in an competitive QI-Guild to get most of the rewards. So "specializing" on GE -> doesnt give you anythings "specializing" on QI -> doesnt matter, because it highly depends on you guild "specializing" on GBG -> doesnt work, because you need the rewards from the other modes
i find the game super fun and interesting, with so many different play styles. the issue i have is the attitudes of the players. all the top end guilds have so many requirements that it's like, i need to quit my job and play 24/7 no one from the guild i joined on my bronze age town , understand what I'm doing. they keep telling my to move up to iron age ?? they don't understand the challenges i have and how rewarding it is to play with those challenges. finding a guild that offers a 1.9 thread for my tiny town is incredible difficult, having little space means i don't have a lot of att/def, so even fighting GE1 is difficult most guilds with a 1.9 require a lot from their players. on 2 of my worlds, i made my own guild so i can do what i want, not what the guilds expect me to do.
I would suggest building the Arc and leveling it to 80 before joining a 1.9 guild, I had the same problem on my main city when I decided I wanted to permanently stay Iron as a different play style from others, I played on my dad's account for about 2 years and got to tomorrow era but didnt really enjoy the higher age
@@thegreatbear7489 if you dont get your Arc to 80 using a 1.9 thread, then it will be self lvling, or swap threads, which is as slow as self lvling. that would be so slow.
i've been in guilds that say you cannot use the 1.9 till you have a 80 Arc. i just laugh. so they want me to spend the next 2 years self lvling my Arc. and these are high ranked guilds. i think most of the high ranked guilds are so out of touch with the whole game, they are blinded by their end game focus.

Smaller guilds struggle in QI, not enough hitters, then it resets to a higher level the next day, which means, at day 5, no one can participate in QI, its less to do, which is fine, but that means less progress and the Collosses tower upgrades come slower, so how can Inno Fix it for less advanced players ??
the most important point of changes to foe is not mentioned in my oppinion. the game used to be very balanced between players who spend money und players who play without spending money. money gamers had a slight advantage but it was not a game changer. the gap between f2p and p2w is getting bigger and bigger and this makes me sad. i am a diamond player and i spend quiet some money but i don't like the development at all. it's just no fun to just open the purse and get the good stuff. game skills are getting more and more less important and my purse will be shut in the near future if this trend will go on ......
I'd disagree - if anything, the gap is far smaller, and it is becoming less and less beneficial to be a paying player. With power creep, a f2p player can get a very good city without spending, while someone who spends quickly sees their purchase devalued.
My problem though: When they do update GBs, will I get some refund for those that I deleted? For example, over last couple weeks I’ve deleted Traz, ToR, HC, CC, TA, CoA and all of them at very high level. If they now get buffed would be pretty unfair in my opinion…
Please for the love of God tell them to go back to the old QI format. Than tell them I want another map to actually have space to build all the gbs. Do that and you will be my hero🍻

Can we have attrition increase faster in Battlegrounds so that nobody can spend 1 hour clicking buttons no matter how good your stats are? A player who doesn't have 3 hours to kill each day simply cannot compete with that.
we need a gbg improvement, need to lock the "units" to the current era, too many people stop at industrial age with way stronger units, making gbg too unbalanced and unfair for others, aside from that new QI is very bad and need to be changed too, very boring/repetitive for a normal guild with 10 ish players, old one was lot better
That is a horrible idea one of the funnest things about the game is the challenges and that challenge is my favorite especially since I am currently doing it for the first time, plus what do you have against the higher age units challenge

I've often wondered how the continent map is really supposed to look and why as represented in game, the sections don't seem to line up

I don't play QI at all, but I play GE5 every week and a lot of GBG when I have the time. It's good to know that you're not supposed to do everything!

Yeah, imo a lot of top guilds take the game too seriously. It can be fun for a bit, but wears you out.
