every nba front office, coach & player needs to do their research on jerry west. a true legend & pioneer in the game that is often overlooked & under appreciated by the masses.
I was at MSG in the early 60s for a game with West. The Knicks weren't much in those days and the Garden emptied out by half-time. I roamed down near the court and saw this guy, long arms, big hands, lifting off the court and shooting that beautiful jump shot. The ball left his hands around the height of the basket and it softly swished through the net. I thought -- oh now I get it! Honestly I can still see Jerry shooting that shot. I think I also saw Wilt around then -- he lifted Willis Reed off the court and dunked it. What an athlete!
The guy responsible for Klay drafted and did not agree to have Klay traded for Love. Wise guy of basketball. Thank you Mr. Jerry West. Great interview. Excellent guest.
Oh man, Andre and Evan, thanks for starting up this podcast. And to have The Logo on! Oh man! It was reassuring to me to hear him talk about moving the ball with more passes and less dribbling. I grew up in Indiana, where high-school basketball was referred to as "Hoosier Hysteria." Man, we learned to pass the ball four or five times before even looking for a shot. It wasn't an accident that passing the ball five times made it into the movie "Hoosiers," because that's really what they taught us back in the day! And that's why it's so much more fun to watch the Dubs than it is to watch teams where they give it to their superstar and get out of the way. Good stuff, men! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Agree. I’m from Gary, Indiana. HS in the 80s - going to Purdue and Indy for semis and state was always epic, even rooting for a conference rival if they made it out.
This is a legendary interview. Thanks Andre and Evan. Y'all the best nba podcasters...and Mr. West is a got dang legend. One love! Andre, play one more season with the dubs and mentor the youngins. You're contribution will get us another ring! Strength in numbers forever!
I’m 21 and I always love hearing Jerry hopefully I get a chance to speak with him one day he embodies basketball the actual game to it’s truest form great pod keep it up keep it low key lol these gems not for everyone but still grow the game
What a cerebral podcast. I listened the whole show without pausing. His knowledge for the game is immense. I also liked the line jerry west said in that “what is important is invisible to the eye”. Loved that. Great job in getting jerry west on your podcast.
what a fantastic podcast. Andre and Evan are awesome hosts and guests like Jerry West and Steve Kerr are about so much more than basketball. I'm hooked
YES YESS YESSS... Point Forward with hosts Mr. Andre Iguodala and Mr.Evan Turner is so inspiring, relaxing, and enlightening. The interaction, questions, response, and answer's with Mr.Jerry West was amazing, honest, sincere, and very informative. Mr.West is humble, intelligent, wise and such a gift too the game of Basketball past, present, and future. Too the hosts, you're awesome on court and off...GOD BLESS YOU ALL 😇

The first NBA game I ever watched on TV was the 1970 finals between the NY Knicks and LA Lakers. I was 12 yrs old growing up in Puerto Rico. Jerry West was there and I immediately became a fan of both teams. Thanks to that series I fell in love with basketball and to this day it's the only sport I'm really passionate about. I like others like baseball for instance but nothing really close to basketball. During the last 7-8 yrs I've become a GS fan and so that's where I'm these days. Thank you Evan and thank you Andre for such a great podcast and for having Jerry. Andre, us Warriors fans are counting on you to become part of the coaching staff at some point even thought to a certain extent you've already been playing that role. Be safe y'all. Btw, I love dogs so hearing Jerry's dog barking in the background was a plus. Loved it.
Precious. Love What you guys are doing. Another perspective from the players point of view, something the mainstream media will never begin to understand.
He's absolutely right, when you make everyone feel involved and know they have a role to play and if the talent works out right you have a good chance to win main.
Wow! Andre! Your pod is fire!! Why? Because you give insight to the game… like the real shit that’s going on.. like saying the warriors ownership walking around acting like they built this thing by themselves. But it was the players! Love it
Dre awesome interview with Jerry the logo I 😍 hearing him talk about basketball and players he really knows through the years and it's awesome to listen to and watch
Awesome stuff guys! It's so impressive that you got the legend, the LOGO, to guest in your podcast. I love Draymond, but he should be taking a lot of notes from you. Intelligent conversation, great questions and just allowing your guest to go into whatever tangent he wants. Keep it up. Subbed!
Love Iggy and appreciate the fantastic interview... Had me cringing and a little distracted with the late arrival of Turner, and the typing on the keyboard during the interview. Looking forward to seeing the evolution and growth of this podcast
great show guys, suggested possible future guests: Masai Ujiri, Steve Ballmer, Kevin Garnett, Deion Sanders, Dirk Nowitzki, and Mark Cuban. Do keep up the great work.
Jerry West said it in a different way but he was referring to "What is essential is invisible to the eye" from The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It appears to be for children but it's really for adults.
It's amazing how Evan Turner stood his ground when there was something was wrong in Jerry West's assessment of the media narrative between the father's of Ja Morant and Karl Anthony Towns. There seems to be a miss with Jerry West's relationship with his father that he does not want his father to watch him play or Jerry West does not want the basketball world to focus on his dad. Maybe, there should be a need for healing right there...
OMG. That clip at 7:30 up to about 10:00 speak mountains of truth. Regardless of which team you are a fan of, you want all of this stuff cleaned up and have the calls be more consistent. At the same time, players and their teams can't keep crying to the refs or the league offices every time they feel they have been screwed for a foul call. There has to be some level of sportsmanship between the teams and the refs. Its a tough balance, because players are competing but this kind of complaining and bad calls wear on the fans and minimizing these events makes the game more enjoyable overall.
This podcast is one of the best or if not the best podcast by an athlete... However, this podcast make the same mistake that other podcast by athletes make... They make comments about politics without doing good serious research... If you going to make those comments about political things, please do diligence and do proper research.
wow and thanks, great stuff. thanks y'all. ps..baseball is the same formula...the pieces have to fit. like timing chemistry is everything. attitudes and mentalities have to mesh for long term success. culture??!!
Some of the people who watch basketball stormed the Capital…. And some of the people who watch basketball Burned, Looted, and Murdered in many cities. What do you do?
omg this channel is criminally underrated
Lowkey like FMVP Iggy
This probably the best nba podcast out

Awesome, Awesome interview! ❣💯
Jerry is the best black white man in the world. The nba did one thing right and that is the logo. He seems like a genuinely open minded smart man.
He's absolutely right, when you make everyone feel involved and know they have a role to play and if the talent works out right you have a good chance to win main.
This shit needs more views, kids need to hear this man
Wow! Andre! Your pod is fire!! Why? Because you give insight to the game… like the real shit that’s going on.. like saying the warriors ownership walking around acting like they built this thing by themselves. But it was the players! Love it

Y’all gotta get Bogut on here. He went from #1 pick to that injury, and found a role as a key piece of a champion.
The logo!
The Wizard 🪄 This Man is Yoda when it comes to this 🏀 Life
I remembered the 25 million 25 year deal Magic Johnson got and that was very big back then...

Now that's OG.
Jerry West said it in a different way but he was referring to "What is essential is invisible to the eye" from The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It appears to be for children but it's really for adults.
HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS POD
By year 2024 or 2025 I will be in the NBA mark it and i’ll meet Andre & Evan
It's amazing how Evan Turner stood his ground when there was something was wrong in Jerry West's assessment of the media narrative between the father's of Ja Morant and Karl Anthony Towns.

They forgot to cut the redo of the intro from the end to the front
How many subs does this channel have?
Y’all should have JW back on to discuss Black history
Imagine if they a did a draft combine and the lottery projected picks scrimmaged against each other on tv
New subs here🇵🇭
Not sure if they knew what they were getting g into with this one. Logo had some stuff to say didn’t he?
Some players complain too much yes, but these refs are more inconsistent than I’ve ever seen before.
Some of the people who watch basketball stormed the Capital…. And some of the people who watch basketball Burned, Looted, and Murdered in many cities. What do you do?
I fell asleep during Andre asking a question.
Evan has such a strange sounding voice lol
Evan is a surplus here to be honest
I'm starting to think Winning Time was some bullshit
Everytime these entertainers start to say sacrifice I cringe 😬
NBA's equivalent of Niki Lauda. Old body with a young soul. Jerry is an amazing human
Listening to Jerry is so awesome, such high level ball talk 😊
