Back when I was a prawn fisherman we found that we needed to run our gear twice a day..Once in the morning and once in the evening otherwise we had them escaping through the web..They get out tail first..back out through the mesh!!
@@Skipper_al ..There is study done from a university in alaska back in I think late 70s...they had spot prawns in a big tank and they put a baited trap inside the tank..Some prawns found the tunnel some went through the web to get in..Then they put the prawns inside the trap and the bait on the outside and almost all went through the web..couldn't fine the tunnel hole....They go through tail first and stretch out..back right out!!..If I can find the study I will send it to you..I read it in like 1985 when I was fishing Southeast Alaska!

I stopped there late one night, probably midnight or so, and a guy was living in one of those shacks. Came down by lantern light with his dog to help me tie up and bs'd with me for a bit, then shook me down for a "moorage fee." I paid him a little, he looked like he was in need of the $20 more than I was at the time. 2015, I think.
@@caskillet yeah I have heard from other people that you are supposed to email someone before you go there but that was news to me. Apparently the land owners want to develop it.
