Stupid question, if I purchased the air three does it come with an operating manual or do I have to learn everything from UA-cam videos? i’ve been sitting on the fence for four months and this upgrade really pushes me to the air three for the price.
Vision assist and disable downward sensors is a big improvement! I constantly fly from a small boat and it can be a real battle at times to hand catch with wind pushing the both the drone and vessel.

With regard to using the goggles, I viewed a video that showed how you can use the goggles and the controller at the same time. After binding the goggles with the air 3 one time, shut down both and now use the controller and take off up around 3 feet, and while the drone is in the air turn on the goggles. I havent tried it yet, but its on my to-do list soon as possible.
Glad to see they brought vision assist, that'll be so handy. Also 360º pano on 3x is awesome, that'll make for some great photospheres. Can't wait till my Air3 arrives!
me too! The only thing you need to know about the 360 pano with the 3x camera is you will have to stitch them yourself in post. The drone doesn't do it for you

You’re one of a dozen tubers who’ve posted these updates but neglected to address the Smartshots settings that cover the parameters for distance and height. These are 9n the control section. Even DJI neglected to distribute information on this new update to the fly app. I honestly wonder if many people aren’t even aware of these settings.
@@JakeSloan It’s not quick shots or master shots if you read my comment. Nothing to do with them. The term Smartshots is a new terms so I’m not sure how you ‘used them’, especially since it’s only been out a couple weeks. Nothing to do with photos. It’s specific to the NEW feature I mentioned.
OH that was part of the mini 4 from the beginning so many of us touched on it when we originally reviewed the mini 4 pro and since this update brings the same features to the air 3 it was all lumped in with the idea that the same features in active track was now available to the air 3
I am wondering why my Air3 in active track has Auto, Manual (not Trace) and parallel. I can't find how to change manual to trace as you do have on your drone. After spending a week a looking for the wheel to set the trace I finally found it on redit. But why I don't have Trace? Is the latest update which changed that?
It's possible they changed it in a recent firmware update but I suspect that it's due to some other setting in the drone that isn't allowing that sidways flight. There is a setting that you can toggle that allows sideways flight on or off

I updated the Firmware and everything is up to date but I still cant use the zoom in normal photo mode only in video. Is there a setting that restricts the zoom ?
Neither update available on East Coast yet. Reset, logged off/on DJI Account. Even broke out DJI Assist fir Consumer Drones. Rolled my date forward, every OTA FW trick I know. Pretty annoying since i git up at 5 am to download this on Air 3 and Mini 4 Pro. Ugh... They msy have had to stagger roll outs on these drones, after selling a trillion of them.
The vision assist is great! One of the best things to happen to the Mavic 3 Helps me see if the props are getting iced up in this weather too :)

There is a manual but you can also download it online, there are also tons of helpful UA-cam videos

Hi pal, my mums bought me air 3 combo for Xmas. But I've been reading that it doesn't have charging cables, how does one charge the batteries thanks.
It has the cable. You just need a charging brick. Do yourself a favor and get a 65 watt or higher to charge Air 3 Batteries.

Hi Jake. ActiveTrack option doesn't show when I highlight myself. It shows activeshots. Am I missing something?
make sure you are in normal video mode. if you are in quick shots mode it will not track

You can use the zoom when the photo is 12MP. 48MP is not supported😄Hope this answer your question
There you go, I don't shoot in 48mp mode so thats why I didn't include this info but yes you must be in 12mp mode.

Is it normal that the air 3 vibrates really hard in the air?
You cant see it but if im touching the arms for example I can really feel it and not just a lil bit
it does vibrate a fair amount when in flight
