2:20 i like the way you associate these long halls with the weird creatures early on so when you see them right here 4:05 the player is immediately on edge because they think one will come out
I feel dissatisfied that the game is as short as it is. But hey, it's a pretty fair challenge, and makes for a good introduction to Ice Climbers for people who haven't played it, like me. Plus the art is great as seems to be consistent with your games.

I didn’t expect the Ice Climbers to have their own horror twist but here we are, hah! Anyways, I watched the video throughly. You definitely ruined my Christmas, thank you so much! Now as for the gameplay, it is very well done and I give it a thumbs up, good job! And the art was very well done as well! It definitely has potential! Now here’s my tiffs, I really wish that it had more story into it. Like, why is “Popo” evil? Why is the “topis” the only creatures out there? Why is there random master hands from smash trying to attack “Nana”? There is definitely a juicy lore here! So overall, I’ll give this fan project a 5/eggplant, only because it’s well done, I just wish for it to have more into it. Have a happy holiday and keep up with the good work!
Thank you. My goal with the game was to be a really short experience but focused on gameplay to be fun. The thing is, more enemies meant thinking on ways to them to be part of the level in a good way and not just filler, or put them anywhere just because. And that would make the game more and more longer, and I didn't want that. And because the game focused is the gameplay i didn't focus too much in the story that, I admit is something that I should have done I didn't have plans on making and update or something but idk, I might do it might not. The thing is popo is not evil, all this time he was not real, they were just hallucinations from nana, and when nana dies from the fall at the beginning, she is in a kind of limbo or purgatory where she is tortured by something with the image of popo, but it's not the real popo. I get that that should be something you could get by playing the game, but I wanted people to think and make their own thoughts about what is the story of the game. I haven't seen an Ice Climber fan in years, I have met some F-Zero, Star Fox, and many other fans of underrated series as I myself appreciate the 8 bit classic like Ice Climbers, heck I love Kid Icarus wholeheartedly. It's so awesome to see more people like me who love old school classic to this day like you and me, heck sometimes when I'm not playing smash bros I boot up Ice Climbers and start playing with my friends ahaha! 💖

Good game, but the ending is a little lazy imo. Maybe I'm just getting tired of good exe games having the "you were doomed from the start lmao" cliche, I'd love to see a different ending, canon or not. Otherwise, very unique, haven't seen an ice climbers exe before.
Creepiness aside, this game seems to be quite fun! It manages to take the groundwork from the original and turn it into a fun platformer. I didn't think I'd be yearning for someone to take the Ice Climbers formula and make a dope platforming game out of it, yet here I am! Massive kudos for doing so in a genre where you easily could've made the same walking simulator, or any other boring take, that many have done before.
I found this from ToadBup’s video of how many smash characters have their own horror games, i think u could be able to make a duck hunt horror game with how good this along with your other projects are!
it woudve honestly been so cool if, at the ending instead of just ending the game, its an infinite loop youre stuck in. meaning the ending just gets you back to the start*
This is really cool, but I don't like the ending text. It leans a touch too far into the "sadistic game character tormenting others" schtick which has been done to death. The best time to end the game was when Nana wakes up at the bottom of the mountain - show, don't tell and let the player's imagination do the work.
TBF, most of the games in the NES were arcade-esque oneshots. The lone exceptions on the "arcade oneshots" would be Excitebike and Punch-Out, who got sequels of their own. Donkey Kong is another exception, except it eventually bleeded into the standard Mario games through DK94/GB/Donkey Kong 4 and the first Mario Vs. DK.
"Finally face my nightmares, she said... End this once and for all, she said..." Good game, but I wish it was a bit longer. Just add a gameplay section or two and the game would be perfect. Four minutes of actual gameplay is kinda "eh".
I am sad that you really didnt focus on the story of the game+im not a big fan of short games but... Altough the game is still amazing! Hope i can see a possible update! (if you dont want to its okay, you are not forced to constantly update a game or someting)
Not every game has to be long. Short games can be give you a short but memorable experience, some games extend itself unnecessarily and sometimes all you need is something quick, but good. I was thinking on making and update, but again, a short update

Maybe not intentional, but… the lowest circle in Hell is made of ice, intended for traitors. So, until an update says otherwise, I choose to believe this is where Nana is. Perhaps she betrayed Popo (either out of cowardice, malice, or accident) and is being punished for it. Just a theory. :D

My review: Just imagine there a spin-off version of frozen inferno so there lot of kids in the mall as climbers and on the first person on pc getting some eggplants by the mall and when the kid throw a eggplant at someone face and start have massive brawl in the mall by the McDonald’s and playing as different character that would be so 3d and pixel and all kids start having brawl and fighting in the game so there holding weapons in it the npc are going be nuts in it part so you got the hammer and other weapons that player and npcs used that would be so underrated and that just crazy the spin-off game will called frozen among us and then it will have custom levels like streamworkshop if game will be in stream or game jolt it would insane massive climber fight will begin to bleed and lose theeth and just like paint the town red Story mode to like based on the game how nana died from popo after getting squash like a slime and the player is like what the fuck and that just like I most terrifying creature squashing a 10 year old kid I would never disrespect that happens to a children’s game like that craps the hell of me there goes my nightmares never sleep in 3ams kids and do not research kids welp that creepy like first we have sonic exe and Mario and other exes games now have ice climbers wow cool welp poor nana she doesn’t deserve do die like that I hope that won’t happen in realty like that: note: just a review of it
