This is actually really fucking good. It sounds like something directly from HGSS. I like how you allowed yourself to deviate slightly from the source material, and that makes it sound much cleaner that some remixes who just try to copy each note directly.
Thank you! One thing I've noticed in the music from the Gen 1-5 games is there's a lot of countermelody in the battle themes, and that really helps the texture of the pieces feel fuller, so I try to add stuff like that where I can.
Nice job, really captures the HGSS feel.
Also what does countermelody mean?
Aurastorm I think it's a base theme that is always present in each theme of the game but I'm not sure.

Countermelody is essentially a moving portion of music that isn't a melody or bass line. It's used a lot in the earlier generations, especially 1 and 2, and is really easy to hear in those games because their music generally only has 3 parts: melody, countermelody, and "bass".
As an example, listen to the section that begins at 11 seconds in to Diantha's battle theme. Then listen to the Trainer Battle theme from Gen 1. About 26 seconds in, you should be able to hear something similiar to the melody from the section of Diantha's theme, and that's the countermelody line.

I grew out of the HGSS soundtrack, but my god the start up beat and sounds around it are amazing!
Would be cool to challenge the E4 with this theme playing.
I like how the art of the two were picked.
Their artstyle gives that HG/SS feel.
My first time fighting the Alolan E4, I had Primarina, A. Muk, A. Marowak, Snorlax, Lurantis, and Midnight Lycanroc. Honestly, kind of a pushover.

Oddly enough I wasn't the biggest fan of the original theme, but this sounds pretty dang good.

I was going to make a joke like "what are you talking about, who wouldn't remember them," but then I realized I don't even remember what they looked like, forget their names.

Purple hair guy with a mask, I think his name started with a W.
Then there's...
Bruno, the shirtless guy who uses Fighting Types.
Karen, the chick who uses dark type pokemon.
Koga, the Kanto's old Poison-Type Gym Leader, and left his daughter, Jasmine, if I recalled that name correctly, to run it.
It's easy to remember appearances but names are hard to remember.
Will, Karen, Koga, Bruno. Karen is the most memorable to be because of her end of battle quote. Koga I will always remember because he was a pretty lit gym leader, and Bruno was in RBY/FRLG. Will though... not really memorable.

This is really good, but it saddens me that every time I hear this theme in the sound of a previous game it sounds better than in Sun and Moon.

I found the Elite 4 pretty easy apart from Kahili. The champ is way harder to beat though. Great tunes.

Can't get past the flying type one ;-;. It's sad.
One Cinnamon I've lost to everyone but Acerola at least once. I've lost to Hala the most, even though I have 3 Fairies and 2 Ghosts...
Have a balanced Team and you should sweep the Elite Four easily. Try to have an Alola Raichu on your team and you'll be surprised how weak Kahili and Hala are against a super fast Raichu!
Yeah! And have a Raichu who has volt switch.... It could work against some ghost types.... Just as long as they aren't fast enough! I had some trouble because when I entered, I only had five Pokemon.... With Solgaleo of course! 😂😂
try using lycanroc, you can catch them in vast poni canyon depending on the time
