Same I got mine 2 days ago, and the pain was awful. I havent been able to walk or do anything the last 2 days cause of the pelvic pain, idk if its normal or how long it will last

There's a numbing SPRAY!?! When I was doing research before getting mine in 2017, I read that they can inject a numbing agent into the cervix and the thought of a needle there freaked me out. WHY WAS I NOT TOLD THERE'S A SPRAY!?!

I wasn’t offered anything either. I went in this morning and they put in and took out 2 different iuds before they realized I had two wombs and couldn’t have an iud. Not sure if you’re supposed to but I’m VERY glad I had a couple of drinks before my appointment!
I had my IUD taken out and new one in yesterday they didnt numb me they only let me take 400mg ibuprofen for pain before I had it done. Thanks for the video
God, I feel bad for the people who don’t realize this is a training video for RNs/CNAs that are assisting during an IUD insertion procedure. I mean seriously, they can’t figure that out by watching this? 🤦♀️
If there are no complications (like strings lost or the IUD being misplaced) then removal will be easy. The provider just grabs the strings with a forcep tool and pulls it out and normally it comes right out and in tact. (My source: I work at an Ob/Gyn office)
I got it removed not long after my initial post. It was half expelled for a month and bent in my cervix. I felt like I had PID because I was always in a lot of pain. Nope. Just a crappy insertion. Taking it out hurt too when she finally took it out.
@@wavianevaladares5381 hey yes. I was sedated and had numbing when I first got mine put in. But I had an abortion.. the first time around so I didnt feel a thing..... :( I just got it removed and my iud a new one put in and it both hurt like fucking hell. Next time I'm getting numbing.
I’m not in the medical field I just like watching surgical videos and things like that... but if you going to put a “training video” make sure to say the important things... like how you have to measure the uterus in order to know how far you have room to release the IUD so it can have room to open “it’s wings” which is really important in order place it on the right place 🤔 but I’m no doctor... lol
Yeah, this was incredibly uninformative. I'm going to get an iud and I was hoping to get actual information, instead I just know how to open the packages.
I can handle a lot of physical pain and getting my iud was the worst experience I think I’ve ever had.. I turned ghost white, lost my breath and felt like I got punched in the stomach and was about to faint.. I’m terrified to get it removed
After wearing gloves dont touch the unsterile parts ...prepare article before doing procedure and sterile gloves put in your hand they prevent infection
Had an IUD put in today, I just wanted to see what they did cuz I couldn’t really feel anything, i didn’t get any numbing stuff either but it also didn’t hurt 🤷🏻♀️
I got mine put in today and it was extremely uncomfortable the whole time, it hurt when it was placed. And now it’s been a few hours and I’m cramping like crazy, it comes and goes. Just goes to show how different people will have different reactions to the same thing 🤗

I just got mine removed today, and it definitely hurt. It felt like a sharp pinch, but it was over quickly. I would rather go back on the pill than have another IUD.
I got my iud removed and a new one on the same day on the removal you only feel like a pinch inside you when is coming out but oh lord the reinssertation hurt me the most you got cramps for a day nothing that goes away with some tylenol or ibuprofen

@@aliciacb8284747274 they can offer an injection of lidocaine as well. There is NO reason to suffer through this procedure.

apparently the numbing can produce negitive effects rarely, like the crevix expanding and noy closing

I'm from New Zealand and i didn't get a spray. It just felt like a cramp for a second. Easy. Done. So thankful for the technicians xx

Man no one gave me any pain relief with my insertion. Now I’m too terrified to get it removed.

I just had one inserted today. They didn’t use a numbing spray but I didn’t think the pain was bad at all. This is my second one.

Yukana Kochi thankfully a lot of surgeries are preformed on cadavers. however this is being preformed on a mannequin. practice makes perfect.
