This is a very strong and fun build, I used it a lot in the past in different squads and servers and I can confirm it's really great if played properly, it's also fun to see all the "meta groupies" dislike it just because they can't understand (and play) this build, good job! :D
In Virtues, using Stalwart Defender (middle up) decreases Shield 4 to the same cooldown as Communal Defenses (middle lower), but you will get protection, toughness, a bit of damage and control over who's getting the Aegis buff - perhaps that's a change consideration.
I remember some people taking the aegis on trap trait with the aegis fragment trap which was a stunbreak too for the DH. But thats probably even more conditional.
The problem Metallone is that if you don't play meta you have to spend your time having arguments and quarrels. Many groups won't let me play tempest for example. Then many complain that wvw is losing users. At my alliance they don't even let me play it in the afternoon
@@lolimparare3160 im aware that several builds i cover on the channel are not even close to meta, but can work. However, tempest is in a really good spot right now , and not being able to play it means you are in a very tryharding alliance, which can be good and bad, depending on what you like. This dh build btw is really strong and considered meta by many, but you need only a few in a squad, then the rest is firebrand
Earth/Water/Tempest with Staff and Karakosa is in a great spot now.....with Arcane Blast and Arcane Brilliance, Aftershock, and whatever....you can maintain 5k+ hp/s pretty easily and keep up or surpass cleanses of any other support. Plus it fixes Tempest biggest weakness, heals/etc tied to auras so no overflow healing.
The problem is that DH dont have mantras and resistance. The elite mantra is a big stunbreak, and firebrand have alot resistance due to traits and book 3 skill 4, in this meta is very important, but good video, its nice to see some alternative builds, gj!
Thank you! I totally agree, i would never swap all the firebrand in the squad for DHs, but having like 3 DHs in a 50 man squad allows to rotate the shields to have almost a 100% uptime
@@metallonegw2283 You are saying in the gameplay section "make sure the white cone of your F3 is in front [..] of every ally". If you do that you won't save anyone. As you show earlier at 13:20 , allies within the cone visual get the shield of courage active buff, the visual does nothing else. You don't have to place it on enemies or on spells. You apply the buff to 5 allies and can safe your party/5 allies in it on enemy push.

@@SyndaneX yeah maybe it's a bit better
Ah yeah been doing this every now and then, worked really well with the power meta 3 months ago

Its fun but kinda situational atm. Was better in Power Meta imo

16:33 this is not how the shield works
Why? I checked the wiki and tested it, but i might be wrong.
