The whole debate on supporting another team whilst playing in europe normally is a big no, im a liverpool fan through and through, last night i generally cheered when bowen scored, i have slated the competition, but last night showed exactly what that competition is drsigned for, two teams who would never normally play eachother came head to head, for the smaller teams in the league this competition could become everything

95% of teams do not have billions to spend on a squad like Man City. West Ham got to the semi final of Europa last season and won 14 games against some very good European teams to win the European conference. I am chuffed to bits. No we not better than Real Madrid, Man City etc but winning this is, is a momentous achievement for us West Ham fans. 👏
Proper west ham supporter like myself I’ve been a Hammers fan since 1973.when I took my little brother with me to upton park for the first time, and west ham beat the saints 4-3. I’ve been fortunate enough to see us win 2 x fa cups at wembley and it was amazing !!! COYI

I was crying all night too, but that was because I was trying to eject an Iceland seafood platter, washed down with 18 cans of Skol. It was a harrowing experience which has scarred me, and my toilet, for some time to come. Not even a post-Eartha Kitt washing down of the enamel with my meaty drainpipe has solved the problem.

Winning the European Conference League without the best 40 European teams being in it is equivalent to winning the FA Cup without the Premier league and Championship teams being in it
West ham were crowned best team in the conference league so that's all that matters

This is brilliant winning a made up competition for lesser teams and making it feel like winning a World Cup. Also love that apology towards the Fiorentina captain cause he must be watching talksport right?
Wonderful achievement and it’s wonderful when your team wins like this caller is explaining. It’s fun and you enjoy the moment with friends and family.
HOWEVER, maybe it’s just me, but I don’t understand how a grown man/woman would get so emotional to the point of crying in joy or loss because of 11 people on a pitch they’d not even know.
It’s a similar observation that Simon Jordan I think made a few weeks ago about grown men in the stands 40/50 years old screaming and cheering their lungs out for 17 year old child kicking a football around.
When you boil it down, it’s kind of cringe.
I'm not asking this in a horrible or sarcastic way, I just want to know if you go to games?
I can maybe understand how you can have that feeling when watching it with one or two people, but when you are stood in a stand with 50,000 strangers who have the same goal as you I have always found it difficult not to be swept up in it. Supporting the team my dad supported, going to games since I was old enough to talk.
Most of the time I do hate that I love it, but sometimes you have days like those West Ham fans had yesterday and it makes all those miserable weekends worth it.
Not cringe, just means you're a very sad person, potentially a narcissist, who has gone out of their way to post a very sad comment, due to the unhappiness in your sad little life. In social circles, most men like football, and those who dont, are more often than not, very boring people obsessed with cars and or golf. I dont like Opera, but then i dont trolling opera pages to say that it does nothing for me. Seek help and pills for your unhappiness.

It just depends on what level of love you have for the game. Age is immaterial in this context as those of us who have ever kicked the 'Old Pig's Bladder' will never grow up.
