  • in this video I take some inspiration from Mike Pekovich from Fine Woodworking, and his new book ' The Why And How Of Woodworking'. In the book He builds an amazing tea box with hand cut dovetails, and this sparked some inspiration for me to get more into hand tool woodworking, So for this Christmas I build this Tea Box for someone, and learned a ton while doing it.

    Just told my girlfriend "look what john made". She barely caught a glimpse of the tea bags in the box as I hold my phone up for her to see. She tells me, "all that work for a condom box?".... that was the first time I ever reverse snorted my coffee... anyway, nice condom box john 🤣

    A couple things John... 1...nice project! Good way to use some scrap/small pieces of nice wood. 2...that was a pretty pencil you scored the insert with lol... I steal my daughters pencils when I run out lol. 3...how the hell did we have to rely on Cleveland to win for the Steelers to make the playoffs! Rough season! Happy new year buddy... Looking forward to the next video

      Brian Danko I use bright colored or pretty shiny pencils in the shop because they are easier to see among all the pieces or wood and metal. Nothing girly, just practical.

      @@terristroh3965 Relax Terri I was just jaggin John... I wasn't questioning his manhood or offending anyone...just a joke. I take my kiddos pencils for the same thing...They are bright and easy to find...and they are pretty too.!

    John. Great build. I’d like to see you do some wall art. Like you did a year ago. Maybe something like the American Flag with spalted or curly maple. Lose the festool 😄 when doing the UA-cam builds. Do it all with HD equipment. I don’t have a rockler dealer nor the money. Thanks.

    • @John_Malecki
      @John_Malecki  5 років тому
