    Woah, that line at the end blew my mind. “Most people are out there playing not to lose. But once you’re financially independent, you’re playing to win.”

    Great video BP! My family of 5 is househacking a triplex and it has fast tracked us towards financial freedom like nothing else. I made a video on the benefits most people don’t realize about househacking beyond the money saved. I hope it helps those who are considering it and have kids!

    By far the most motivating thing to get financial freedom was getting away from a good paying job that was just sucking my energy dry. When you're OK, you really don't have a whole lot to drive you unless you come up with a lot of reasons or a big "why". :)

    Doing the same thing but just started a family and it definitely gets much more difficult but still extremely attainable! Patience is everything now and there's always a deal around the corner if you want it bad enough 😁

    I’m 20, and I’m looking to invest into my first property. I’ve managed to find a 4 apartment building for a very reasonable price right next to a police station. I’ll update you in a few months on how it goes! Whether it’s good or bad!

    What about developing some raw land you bought into a duplex, or a triplex or quadplex in an area where you know beforehand that the rent income of these properties will cover your operative expenses and mortgage of constructing the units and buying the land?
    In principle, you can always find a deal for land in an area where rents are high, and negotiate the price of the land to get a good deal there.

    Great content fellas! House hacking is so dope. I’m looking into markets outside of Boston (Worcester) for my first property/ househack. For my budget (about 110k) it seems like condos 2bed1bath are what I’m coming across. Any tips on house hacking a condo?

    You guys never mentioned how do you remove yourself after one year to rent out all properties? What’s the procedures? What does that do to the FHA loan?

    • @Mike-ob8zi
      @Mike-ob8zi 4 роки тому +2

      FHA primary residency is normally for 12 months, after that you can fully rent out. Show the bank your rent roll from the property, may be able to qualify for another loan (conventional) with rent info from FHA loan property.

      I just bought a duplex 4 days ago for $120,000. Im living in the bottom unit and mortgage is $860 a month (taxes+insurance included). I am charging the tenant upstairs $700 a month and they pay for their own utilities.
      I'm not living for completely free but definitely at a discounted price, its possible with your pre-qualification assuming you don't live on a coast or NY area
