@@debopriyasen128 It depends. If ur anterior open bite have a dental protrusive component extraction of premolars and retraction will close the bite. It always dipends. Swallowing pattern is very important too.
I have the same problem, a CIII open underbite and I hated it. MY orthodontist said he can fix the problem so I went ahead and got braces on. I hope there is stability after this treatment.
My highest praise for an excellent job. The only better result would have been reverse head gear at 4yrs old and then again at 11-12 years. I saw a presentation where both parents and their daughter were more prognathic than this girl. Dr. Verdon (French co-inventer with Dr. Delaire) treated a super Class III with only reverse head gear. I saw this in 1982 at a presentation. I do not expect anyone to believe it. Replacing 8's with 7's -non extraction case- brilliant. This case would usually have 1/4th of the dentition removed.... 4 premolars and 4 third molars.
Hi, Excellent work. Can you please tell that why did you not extract 3rd molar instead of 2nd molar? how do you decide about extraction pattern betwee 2nd molar or 3rd molar?
Dr.Rajkumar Arora if you extract 8’s you have an additional unit (7’s) to distalise. That takes longer and places more demand on your (anterior) anchorage. This is an excellent method of distalising LBS although case section is important esp with ethnicity and what level of divergence/ lip protrusion is acceptable.
Your knowledge should be send all around the world. It's unbelievable. Congratz
I am an orthodontist. This is excellent work congratulations.
