This is one of the best games I've played in years! it not just another shooter or open world GTA wannabe, it's got a very wide range of things to do. and I don't know why, but I feel a late 90's/early 2000's nostalgia trip when playing this.

Okay. This game looks awesome. I've got a PS4 but I know Imsomniac from past PS games. I'm glad this game is good and is getting the scores it deserves. Now Microsoft, please keep this exclusive. DO NOT let this go to PC. Once your exclusives go to other platforms people no longer have a reason to buy your system. I want Microsoft to do well because it means it's a level playing field and competition breeds innovation. It's why Share Play exists and it's why Games with Gold exists. While I appretiate xbox having a good exclusive like this, the xbox fanboys seem to be forgetting that ps4 has some good exclusives coming out next year as well as infamous second son which is like ps4's sunset overdrive. I'm not trying to start a war but both consoles have good exclusives, xbox has sunet overdrive, halo something (sorry can't remember the name :/) and many other exclusives, while ps4 has infamous, uncharted, bloodbourn (I don't count killzone shadowfall because ı played it and didn't like it much) and the order 1886(edit: ps4 also has the last of us) as well as many other exclusives. You don't need to bash other consoles dear fellow xbox and playstation fans, both consoles have their ups and downs, I own both as well as a pc simply because ı love gaming and have the money to own both consoles. We are gamers, we play games, respect eachother a bit please.

I don't know why people hype up for uncharted its a boring series. Game is so bad it gets a price drop the first month then goes on sale for 20 dollars the month after.
Since PS4-only gamers won't be using their fingers very much for gaming this holiday season they should keep them crossed in hopes that Sunset Overdrive comes to PC a year from now so they can claim how they'll be playing it on their high end gaming rigs that every PS4 gamer seems to own. They use 'quality' as proof to say their short-fused exclusives are better, and dismiss the possibility that people could be having more fun on the other exclusives. They go crazy over a feature that lets you play other people's games, yet downplay the fact that other people are getting 3 new amazing games to actually play over the holidays. They believe a slightly more powerful console would create a better gaming experience, and forget that gaming is about how much fun you can have from a game, not how much more GHz your machine can do. They think the way your physical console looks actually matters. They exaggerate the Xbox One's tv functionality, because someone said the word TV several times in a press conference, even though there is no noticeable compromise to gaming when you actually use it. Those fanboys say the PS4 is all about the games, when some of the best* games this year are on the Xbox One, and the fanboys themselves talk more about sales numbers, resolution numbers and graphic card specs than about their actual games.

Titanfall, Dead Rising 3, Ryse, Tomb Raider, now there was a leak about Sunset Overdrive coming to PC and Quantum Break also has a good chance of coming to PC if you look at Remedy's history with Alan Wake, an XBox 360 exclusive which also came to PC. I'm not shitting on the Xbox One at all though, I love Microsoft for letting PC users play their exclusives I wish we could play games like Uncharted on PC as well.

Titanfall, Ryse, Dead Rising 3, Tomb Raider, Sunset Over-Drive has been leaked to be coming to PC and don't be surprised about Quantum Break also coming to PC as Alan Wake came out on PC as well and was made by the same studio. I'll be buying a PS4 for Uncharted when that comes out, but I see no reason to buy an Xbox One when I have a gaming PC, other than Halo 5 but I'm not a huge fan of that series anyways.

I have only seen very few Xbox 360 players trash the PS3. In fact it was the other way around. I remember when Mass affect was going to be on the Sony platform, many "xbots" were writing good things about that. Later when Metal Gear was announced be released for the Xbox 360, I saw mostly hate towards that decision.

I wouldn't say it's for little kids at all. I do think the humour is painfully bad but I just love the gameplay so much! The guns, the customisation, the traversal are all really fun aspects of it. Not to mention how damm colourful the world is. Infamous second sun though was just ...ok. It doesn't hold a candle to 2 and it's waaay shorter.

The fact that you're trying to start a console war in 2014 makes me want to hang myself, I mean, knack is not the only exclusive that's out on ps4, plus I have MILLIONS of exclusives that I could buy on steam, but of course, the typical fanboy loser that thinks his console is the best.
I own a PS4, and I love it. But I'm happy Xbox has some great exclusives. There's no need for hate for either of these consoles. Competition is always good for any market. It makes both sides stronger. If you're a fan of gaming, this is a great time to be a gamer. It's never a good time to hate on competition because that is where the improvements and strides come from. Wish I had the money for both consoles, wish I had the time to play everything... Go Xbox, keep the exclusives coming. Go PS4, keep catering to gamers. And always keep the pressure on each other to create the next best thing!
This game is great. The controls took me half an hour to get used to. The game is super fun once you get them down. Just do the tutorial, and you'll be fine. So happy this is free with Gold, otherwise I probably wouldn't have picked it up. Easily one of the best Xbox One games in my opinion.
Funny how Xbox fans bashed Ratchet and Clank for years, yet were the same devs make an open world Ratchet and Clank (a.k.a Sunset Overdrive) it's the best thing since sliced bread. This is the game that made me want the XB1. And I have not regretted my purchase. This is my favorite game on XB1 and still is. And it's in my opnion THE BEST XB1 EXCLUSIVE GAME on the console.
Wii u has many lol, bayoneta 2, sma4h, mario kart, mario 3d world, dk tropical freeze, pikmin 3, wonderful 101, hyrule warriors, zombi u, windwaker hd, and many more coming next year and most of these games score 8 or higher

I bought my xboxone and one of the reasons was for this game and it didn't disappoint. It's some of the most over the top and whacky fun I've had in a game for a while and I love that it doesn't take itself seriously it's what adds to the humour and charm.

The xbox one is getting a $50 price drop for the holiday season starting nov 2. The PS4 is getting a $20 price increase because Sony is bundling a required PS4 edition dust cover with every console.
***** Sorry man the gameplay mechanics aren't great in TLOU. The friendly and enemy AI are pretty horrible at times. I love the game and I think the story and acting was probably the best I've ever seen or experienced in a video game but the gameplay itself is lacking. I bought the game on ps3 when it came out and I just recently rented the remastered version and played through it again. I think the remastered version should have included some tweaks to the AI because playing through it again reminded me how bad it was.
You do know that Xbox One was $500 when i first came out. Which means that when you include this holiday price drop of $50, the total overall drop of price is $150. PS4 has not dropped in price and still is selling more than Xbox and Wii U. That's not being a fanboy, that's observing sales.
***** when a game is designed around stealth the ai has more of an impact than it does in a fps like halo. When the ai sees you when there's no way it should it's frustrating.. when friendly ai get in your way it's frustrating and when enemy ai doesn't see friendly ai it kind of ruins the moment.

While I appretiate xbox having a good exclusive like this, the xbox fanboys seem to be forgetting that ps4 has some good exclusives coming out next year as well as infamous second son which is like ps4's sunset overdrive. I'm not trying to start a war but both consoles have good exclusives, xbox has sunet overdrive, halo something (sorry can't remember the name :/) and many other exclusives, while ps4 has infamous, uncharted, bloodbourn (I don't count killzone shadowfall because ı played it and didn't like it much) and the order 1886(edit: ps4 also has the last of us) as well as many other exclusives. You don't need to bash other consoles dear fellow xbox and playstation fans, both consoles have their ups and downs, I own both as well as a pc simply because ı love gaming and have the money to own both consoles. We are gamers, we play games, respect eachother a bit please.

PS4 fanboys: They glorify mediocre games because of their graphics and put down good games which are fun because it has 10% less pixels - which you wouldn't notice much anyway. They use 'quality' as proof to say their short-fused exclusives are better, and dismiss the possibility that people could be having more fun on the other exclusives. They go crazy over a feature that lets you play other people's games, yet downplay the fact that other people are getting 3 new amazing games to actually play over the holidays. They think the way your physical console looks actually matters. Titanfall, Dead Rising 3, Ryse, Tomb Raider, now there was a leak about Sunset Overdrive coming to PC and Quantum Break also has a good chance of coming to PC if you look at Remedy's history with Alan Wake, an XBox 360 exclusive which also came to PC.

Titanfall, Ryse, Dead Rising 3, Tomb Raider, Sunset Over-Drive has been leaked to be coming to PC and don't be surprised about Quantum Break also coming to PC as Alan Wake came out on PC as well and was made by the same studio. I'll be buying a PS4 for Uncharted when that comes out, but I see no reason to buy an Xbox One when I have a gaming PC, other than Halo 5 but I'm not a huge fan of that series anyways.

I have only seen very few Xbox 360 players trash the PS3. In fact it was the other way around. I remember when Mass affect was going to be on the Sony platform, many "xbots" were writing good things about that. Later when Metal Gear was announced be released for the Xbox 360, I saw mostly hate towards that decision.

I own a PS4, and I love it. But I'm happy Xbox has some great exclusives. There's no need for hate for either of these consoles. Competition is always good for any market. It makes both sides stronger. If you're a fan of gaming, this is a great time to be a gamer. It's never a good time to hate on competition because that is where the improvements and strides come from.
Wish I had the money for both consoles, wish I had the time to play everything...

This game is great. The controls took me half an hour to get used to. The game is super fun once you get them down. Just do the tutorial, and you'll be fine.
So happy this is free with Gold, otherwise I probably wouldn't have picked it up. Easily one of the best Xbox One games in my opinion.

This is the game that made me want the XB1. And I have not regretted my purchase. This is my favorite game on XB1 and still is. And it's in my opnion THE BEST XB1 EXCLUSIVE GAME on the console.

Wii u has many lol, bayoneta 2, sma4h, mario kart, mario 3d world, dk tropical freeze, pikmin 3, wonderful 101, hyrule warriors, zombi u, windwaker hd, and many more coming next year and most of these games score 8 or higher

What an exceptionally refreshing game, Insomniac you rock! The learning curve is a bit tricky I found, but once it starts to flow this game is a breath of fresh air. I hope it sells really well, this is proof that new IP can outdo anything from the past. Now back to Sunset City...

I had this game for a few months and barely played it, I finally got into it, started to get the hang of its controls and now I love it, Cursing and exploding teddy bear cannons, and zombies. How can you not love this game.
I don't understand why everyone keeps fighting over what system is better as if Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo pays your rent/mortgage, medical bills, sends you checks every month, pay your medical bills, school tuition, etc. Just buy whatever you like and keep it moving.

Not surprised by the score. If there's one trump card Microsoft holds over both Sony & Nintendo, it's Shooters. They have mastered the art of creating & innovating them. Glad to see they moved beyond the serious tone they possessed, though.

Insomniac has always been nonsensical, Microsoft is still pretty much what you described.
I bought my xboxone and one of the reasons was for this game and it didn't disappoint. It's some of the most over the top and whacky fun I've had in a game for a while and I love that it doesn't take itself seriously it's what adds to the humour and charm.

Same here, except I got the Xbox first. I play games for games and fun and friends, not for the system and the whining fanboys who battle it out on UA-cam and Reddit. I have nothing against the PS4, and I might get it once I have more money and a few nice exclusives pile up.

***** You forget high score does not mean great game. Reviews are for all intensive purposes opinions nothing more. If the individual gamer loves or hates a game it's their prerogative. Granted I would prefer gamers played a game first before putting it on the chopping block.

The xbox one is getting a $50 price drop for the holiday season starting nov 2. The PS4 is getting a $20 price increase because Sony is bundling a required PS4 edition dust cover with every console.

***** Sorry man the gameplay mechanics aren't great in TLOU. The friendly and enemy AI are pretty horrible at times. I love the game and I think the story and acting was probably the best I've ever seen or experienced in a video game but the gameplay itself is lacking. I bought the game on ps3 when it came out and I just recently rented the remastered version and played through it again. I think the remastered version should have included some tweaks to the AI because playing through it again reminded me how bad it was.
You do know that Xbox One was $500 when i first came out. Which means that when you include this holiday price drop of $50, the total overall drop of price is $150. PS4 has not dropped in price and still is selling more than Xbox and Wii U. That's not being a fanboy, that's observing sales.
***** when a game is designed around stealth the ai has more of an impact than it does in a fps like halo. When the ai sees you when there's no way it should it's frustrating.. when friendly ai get in your way it's frustrating and when enemy ai doesn't see friendly ai it kind of ruins the moment.
I'm a sony nut. Even so, this game looks incredible. Insomniac does that, people.
