    I can not believe what I just watched. You’ve got a pulley, use it for the mechanical advantage. By hooking the pulley to a tree you gained nothing but a direction change. Pulley needed to be hooked to the stuck skidded. Winching skidded wirerope goes through pulley and back to itself. 2 to 1 mechanical advantage.

      Hello from Australia, you are correct the snatch block should have been attached to the bogged skidder.

    • @scarsman
      @scarsman 2 роки тому +3

      True, that works if you have enough cable. It appears they used the block to place the winching machine facing down hill, since it was pulling itself backwards on the first try, where it was facing up hill. If they double lined it with the winch uphill, it would just pull it backwards even easier unless you had something big to anchor it to. It takes a lot of line once you start double or triple line rigging.

      Thanks for watching, we have ran some chains in the past on our 648. Next time, double shiv and pull out rather then through the hole. (Pull from the end you went in)don’t spin the wheels, only help with the throttle. When you spin, you just dig yourself in deeper..
