Another tip would be to heat up the measuring device with some hot water. This way you don't use plastic that ends up in the rubbish :)

at 1:04 before you toss in the cookie butter, the way the mixture in the pot bubbled up kinda resembles a heart to me. you must cook and bake with lots of love, lainey. lol ♡

You forgot to mention, letting the chocolate mixture boil for 2 minutes. If it does not boil for 2 minutes, it will not harden and hold all the ingredients together.

My Grandma taught me to do the soft ball test. Take a little bit and put it in water. If it forms a soft ball it’s ready.

I lightly boiled mine for 3 minutes and it didn't set. They tasted great but never firmed up. I put them in the freezer and they get easier to handle but don't even freeze hard. I'm going to make them tomorrow and boil like Nancy L says.

okay so I'm from Ohio and no bake cookies are huge. I grew up eating these. They sell them in store including gas stations. Now I live in Florida and litterally no one down here knows what they are. I look at them like they are crazy and they look at me the same lol. I'm going to make a shit ton of them tomm and take them into work. Is it a northern thing or what because apparently here in sw Fl they have no idea

I have made these for decades. One thing to know is that you cook the sugar mixure fir 60 seconds. Any more or any less makes either a grainy texture or a to soft cookie. Me i like no more than 60 seconds because i dont like the grainy texture and love the smooth feel and taste of the fudge cookie.
I am thinking about making these with rice crispys instead of oats. Oh and i prefer quick cook oats to just.the rolled oats. The rolled are close to raw and have a chaulky taste. These are a long time fav.

I am 50 and been eating these all my life and making them all of my adult life and I have never seen them prepared this way. I have always prepared all the ingredients on the stove besides the oats, vanilla and peanut butter and slowly bring them to a boil all together and let them boil for exactly 1 minute I found to be the perfect boil time so that the final product isn't to wet or dry, I've never added peanuts or almond milk, put them in the freezer or a few other things the way you do but to each their own.

I just did this but in smaller quantities (4 cookies) only since I lack of these ingredients and I did not use vanilla extract or coconut shavings like I've seen in many other videos. tasted the mixture and it tasted pretty good but now I'll wait for it to be done in the freezer!! ps used some nuts instead of crunchy peanut butter since I lacked of that. is it okay to use brown sugar? I ran out of sugar so there was a mixture of brown and normal sugar.

I just have a question, I replace the Almond milk with a Full Cream Milk since I was not able to find any Almond Milk in our grocery store and the cookies I made is keep on breaking. What do you think the reason why I made it so sweet and breaks easily. Hoping for your answer so that I'll perfect it the next time I'm gonna do it.

I could be wrong, but i dont remember them having peanut butter in them.
You could usually see kids with at least 1 or 2, especially if the lunch was yucky. Even if we didn't appreciate it at the time, our cooks made REAL food, from scratch, not like alot of schools where everything is pre-made or pre-packaged.
I may have griped about the food, but it was good.

+Bizzare77777 if you replace the butter try to replace it with coconut butter or something w/ the same kind of consistency. For the sugar you can def you Stevia! (: Those are great ideas! (: (: thank you for sharing them and asking the questions! xx

Are you familiar with barley oats? I'm told they take about 15 mins to cook, which is longer than regular oats. Do you think those types of oats would ruin this recipe since this is a no bake? I'm thinking about first cooking the oats for a 10 mins or so and then adding the other ingredients.

+Bizzare77777 I do know about barely oats. The only thing I can say is that sounds like a great idea to do (: However, if you do cook those barley oats it will give a different consistency like more of a soft chew (; Which isn't a bad thing.

Grew up eating these. Glad you did this recipe. But my mom didn't use the peanut butter or the peanuts.

Will it start to slighty melt after extended time periods of exposure (because of the freezing progress)? Due to fresh milk being used, do these cookies have an average soiling process (or are they more or less likely to become rotten)?

Can you use water in place of milk? Margarine instead of Butter?and what can I use instead of cocoa powder? I have a tree nut, or peanut allergy, and milk.
