www.oerparts.com Dennis and Sam discuss the wear and tear the dash pads can endure and the replacement options available from authentic GM licensed products from OER.
These pads don’t fit correctly, mine has been messed up for a year because the dimensions on these are off. Returned it and got the same exact result. Sad.
I put this dash pad on my 68 SS and the result is less than desirable. The leading edge of this pad is way too flexible and when the nuts are tightened the pad flexes way too much. The results are depressions in the pad above each attach point. It looks terrible. One would think that if GM would sanction this part as their own, it would fit like it should. Not sure what the fix to mine is. Perhaps I will remove it and bond some sort of stiffener to the back face of the pad and reinstall.
these are great to get info, but don't show how to remove or install. on a 68 u have to undo the steering column to remove the plastic instrument panel, not easy. or how to remove padded dash, not easy
I been reading online reviews they say doesnt really fit great??
What is the prep work needed before painting a urethane dash pad?

HIgh quality advertisement, but useless for customers looking for installation tips.
