for the color thing in Illustrator you can open the color of the square to see the actual numbers of the RGB and then write them next to the sliders to select them, it's easier imo

I keep trying this in Photoshop 2021 and for some reason the color stays black. Any idea why it wouldn't work? It's driving me nuts! LOL thank you

Just figured it out - the blend mode was set to Overlay - it works when I changed it to Normal. Thank you!
