This is a very great tutorial video and it's not only on point, you have given some tips like learning things in real life so that we can apply it in anything and make it realistic with imperfections. I'm subscribed and i hope your channel gets very successful and you can help us in the future too. I'm waiting for more Vox style tutorials.
If there was a comment of the week award, this would be it! Thank you for taking the time to watch this explainer! I spend a lot of time prepping concepts, recording, editing, etc so the kind words mean a lot!
Great tutorial amigo! So easy to follow. For controlling the camera's DOF I link it to a Null (Layer menu - Camera - Link focus distance to layer). Makes it easier, the focus pulling is always tricky in AE like in real life haha.
awesome video bro been learning AE for a while and the cam 3D just stumbled on your video and subscribed immediately plz keep it up and upload more videos im sure you will get tons of silubscribed in no time.will be impatiently waitin for ur next video thanx again
The real lesson is how fast his AE buffers lol. Wish my PC was tgat fast. Wonder what specs he got runnin. Great vid bud liked and subbed before u blow up on this channel. How long u been using AE?
I appreciate the sub my dude! I’m running a Lenovo legion 5 with 32GB RAM. Believe it or not I’ve been looking to upgrade to something stronger in the near future at hopefully triple the ram. I’ve been using AE for 7 years now. Been wanting to do these tutorials for awhile and now I’m doing one a week.
I put the asset from this tutorial in the description! I talk about it around the :25 mark of this tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/Lwp5aa3fBbo/v-deo.htmlsi=MJoJApbA-rbaoBbR
The null method will work just as effective! If you plan on doing 3D movements after the article animation in the same scene, then you’re better off using nulls!
Thanks for watching! I downloaded this months ago so I don’t have the exact link but I got it from the Library of Congress: www.loc.gov I talk about how I find assets like this in my match cut animation tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/Lwp5aa3fBbo/v-deo.htmlsi=txKlRjMYQPOebyRN
I may expand on building a site where I can share assets at a later time. I think it could be worth making a tutorial on how to make your own assets too. Good news for you, I did some digging and found where I downloaded these free assets: www.premiumbeat.com/blog/21-free-motion-graphics-hand-painted-brush-strokes/
Thanks for taking the time to watch it! I'll check out his stuff and see if I can make it happen. I have some fun tutorials in queue that'll be dropping soon!
I do the exact same thing step by step however once I make the highlighter in the Working comp and then come back to the Render comp, neither highlighter nor the long dot asset are adjusted. they are like somewhere else in the Render comp. I wonder if you could help me with this?
Here's what I would double check. One, make sure your precomp for your working folder is set to "leave all attributes..." The second thing I would double check is to make sure nothing in the working comp is a 3D layer. For this specific tutorial - only the render comp needs to be 3D otherwise your assets might look scattered.
You can find archived assets at www.loc.gov. You can find the hand drawn elements online. There are free ones out there. You could also purchase premade assets through one of my affiliates, Envato Elements: 1.envato.market/OrxJQr
Great question! When I was trying this out, I found that key framing everything simply wasn’t necessary. It became too overwhelming at parts so going this simpler approach is all that you really need.
Thank you for watching! If you like Vox-style tutorials, I recommend this playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PL14RRBW55HP8sBuuPqr7IhTriGpR_leEI.html&si=qzyBXcwiQrv2qM8y
brother i am having aproblem in focus distance when the precomp is zooming in 3d space when i make a camera it automatically gets zoomen in a little and the view gets out of the frame i am also applying the same camera setting still it is automatically zoomed in when evr the precomp moves or rotates
Make sure you rasterize the layer from the start. Another safe option to go is before you start animating the object, create your camera and just leave it there until you need to adjust the focus. I also suggest double checking your camera settings to make sure it’s not at a tight focal range. Thanks for watching!
@@createdaley when I enabled the create camera from current view in camera setting then the zoom didn't happen but also the camera focal length and other setting got disturbed I don't know why. Btw nice video brother easy to follow.
Thank you very much for the video. but I don’t quite understand why you didn’t attach the project files? what is the logic of your training? It is advisable for a beginner to repeat all the steps step by step. I understand all this can be found on the Internet, but this is a waste of time. when one could sit and study a video - a person must waste a lot of time catching materials In any case, it’s not clear to me why not attach the project files??? Will the FBR come for you?
I appreciate you watching! I don’t offer the project files at this time for a few reasons: - I’m just getting started on these tutorials. Setting up project downloads the way I plan to will take time. - I’m not going to offer project files of assets I don’t own. I share where I find them so others can get their own assets and follow along. - It’s possible to follow along without needing the project file and creating your own. I’m self taught and never downloaded project files. Part of gathering assets may seem like a waste of time, but it’s actually part of the creative process. Keep in mind that I’ve only been doing these tutorials for a few weeks and will eventually offer project files when applicable and when I’m ready! Cheers!
