Thanks,Ma'am Gill, for this wonderful lesson ! I have noticed too that while writing in English, many people are really confused about where to put apostrophe s ? This lesson really makes it clear where and how to put 's'. 😊
Everything is just gorgeous! As always! Simplicity is the sister of talent as the old saying has it! Thank you, Gill! Thank you so much for another good lesson! I would be happy if you kept on teaching me! 👍
Hello Gill, indeed a very interesting lesson. I always wondered about Princess in the prural - princesses or a few/ many princess stood together for example.
One mistake I often hear made by foreigners learning English is “clothes-ses” instead of “clothes”, which is already a plural noun. Also, they find it is a word which is quite hard to pronounce. The “thes “ (th-zzz) part of clothes gives a lot of trouble!
Yes, it's correct and the reason we put the apostrophy at the end is because we are talking about two dogs, hence dogs', if we were talking about a single dog, then it would be "dog's". Hope this helps.
Sometimes I add "s" to the second person, I say " you speaks"😅, because it's what happends in spanish, the second person adds "s": "tú hablas", but not the therd person "el habla"😅
The dog's asleep adding s mean is and the dog you mean is one dog so you adding is as a singular ? If i said dogs are asleep is correct or still dogs is asleep. Little bit confused.
What if there are many dogs and we are talking about their dinner? 😅 for example neighbours cats ate our dog’s dinner. (We have three dogs) dear me…should I say dinners in that case?
The apostrophe goes after the "s" in plural genitive nouns, and unless they are sharing one "dinner", you should say "dinners" and it should be "Our neighbour's/neighbours cats'" so it should be "Our neighbour's/neighbours' cats ate our dogs' dinner/s." or you could say "The cats of our neighbour/s ate the dinner/s of our dogs."

The 2 dogs' dinner... Is it correct?... Espero que lo veas en inglés (UA-cam me lo traduce al español)
Yes, it's correct and the reason we put the apostrophy at the end is because we are talking about two dogs, hence dogs', if we were talking about a single dog, then it would be "dog's". Hope this helps.

Дякую за це пізнавальне та цікаве відео!
Will you make it clear with the logical answer that why do we use s,es with a singular 3rd person? Why not with 1st and 2nd person.
How to pronounce an English word.please ma'am make a video about pronunciation.
💖
❤❤❤❤
Riders club or Rider club...?which one is right?
The 's' letter can really be a pain in the 's' if you do not know how to use it properly. Otherwise, a bad 's' letter.😎
The dog's asleep adding s mean is and the dog you mean is one dog so you adding is as a singular ? If i said dogs are asleep is correct or still dogs is asleep. Little bit confused.
❤🙌🏽
Can you please explain why goose are geese but moose are not meese?

why do people add "s" after "no"? such as "no publications", and "no symptoms"
Mam I can't understand the apostrophe
Maravilhosa:^)

the latter one I would have called it the saxon genitive wouldn't I
