Loved this! I don't change up my planners ever unless I'm making a permanent change, however I often slide into this phase I'm in right now where I just ignore it completely for a couple of months lol. But then when I set it up to use it again I'm back to seeing everything with fresh eyes and excitement so I guess it's kinda similar to that feeling of swapping them out? I miss watching videos and have such a back log to catch up on. I actually really like the Wonderland222! I had one a few years ago and really liked it. Looking forward to seeing yours!

Thank you so much for saying this so plainly and directly. I've only followed stationery videos for a year but am perplexed by all the anxiety over "planner peace." I often find myself shaking my head and thinking, if this is the big anxiety provoker in these people's lives they are very blessed. Many Americans are trying to figure out how to pay the mortgage, rent, buy groceries, buy medicine, and put gas in their car. I also notice a trend that many of the people who host UA-cam channels talk about their mental health issues. So, this hobby seems to attract those with mental health issues. I suppose I can see, then, that planner peace might be such a big issue for some people if they are already predisposed to anxiety, worry, people pleasing, etc. Some people are actually the most comfortable when they have a struggle to deal with. Oftentimes, people who are more comfortable in struggle than in calm create some struggle to deal with. It's also a way to get ALOT of affirmation from followers. I don't know and don't totally understand. I agree with you. Enjoy your journal whether that be an expensive planner in a designer cover or a Dollar Tree composition notebook with a few Dollar Tree stickers on the cover. If it brings you stress, don't do it! IF you worry about what others think--don't.

Guilt from changing planners for me is the cost i feel i lose when i dont use the entire book 😔 but i just buckled & purchased a hobo weeks which will b arriving soon 😅
I understand that and so many people feel that way! I found creative ways to use left over paper from planners etc. For instance I cut out blank pages from my Hobo Cousin & Weeks and also from my PaperTess. I cut them down to size and punch them in my rings or use the blank pages for sticker collages or water color etc. ♥️♥️♥️♥️🫶🏻
I’m all over the place with my planners. I have a half letter discbound set up, a B6 notebook and I have the pocket designer everyone has. I have no idea what I want to use 😂🤦♀️🤷♀️

I think a lot of stigma about hopping came out last year. People were blaming the community and shops and influencers for all the products and the consumerism aspect. And then some planner peeps were hopping a lot - barely staying in a planner a week or a day and it got judgy it seems. So I think that stigma is partly to blame for how people share it as if it’s a bad thing. There are some that hop so much they lose info and miss stuff. I think it’s got to be balance. Yes it’s just paper and yes it’s partly for fun but planners have a function and if you aren’t staying organized or are missing things reassessing is needed imho. Your planner still needs to do its job.
And then there’s some that hop so much they don’t have any idea of what they need or want. And they just buy and change, buy and change. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with changing if it’s not working or you need to revamp. And I truly believe your planner needs are different in different seasons of life (or the year). But we have to be somewhat thoughtful about it.
I understand what you mean. I just don’t think people should make others feel bad about what they decide for themselves. Some seem to take themselves a bit too seriously and seem to pass some type of hypocritical judgement on others. I’ve seen people feel so guilty about changing their system almost in tears or seem to be apologizing….We are all grown ups and work and pay our own bills so just like I would never tell someone not to buy a new pair of shoes or yarn or a purse, (whatever their thing is) it makes me really sad to see how the judgments and offhanded comments people make negatively affect others. Especially today when so many of us struggle with mental health and anxiety issues and ADHD. It’s easier to not say anything than to criticize someone for using paper. 🤷🏼♀️ 🫶🏻♥️
So agree who cares what people do with their planners! They want to switch daily I say go for it! It’s their business and money. If it bothers people watching others switch planners all the time then I say DON’T watch them and move on.

Will this heat wave ever end?? I know you mentioned with your Eternal Leather Goods cover that you traded with a friend. I was wondering if you know if your friend requested any size adjustments or if it's as is like on the website? I struggle to order covers because I want them to be able to handle a thicker notebook if I want or one that's perhaps just a few mm taller and when I try my various notebooks and they don't fit, I'm disappointed. So many planners/journalers do so many things that I wouldn't necessarily do in my books, but that's the fun of getting to know other people and what brings them joy and satisfaction. And I learn a lot of ideas I otherwise would have never thought of on my own.

At the end of the day they are books with paper we write on. Even artists who paint will walk away from a painting and come back to it months later. It's part of the creative process and this is a creative outlet for a lot of people like myself. Change is good it's inspiring.
