Round of 16 or quarters are my predictions after that defeat to Iceland. I also hope Southgate will go at the end of this tournament regardless of result. 👍🏻

I believe Wharton SHOULD start alongside Rice with bellingham playing in the whole ahead of them
We will be better suited to go more direct with wingers attacking or with deep balls from someone like TAA. Share the load between gordan and saka (Gordon seemed to get a little tired doing the running) and get shots away quicker Palmer, Toney and others had chances to get shots in good positions and just didnt.
Best partnership at Liverpool in defence was arguably Van Dijk and Matip. Gomez had a good spell before his injury though in central defence
best klopp CB partnership was VVD & Gomez 19/20. they were at chelsea 04 level of goals conceded p90
I feel like we have so many strong players, there are so many different and amazing lineups we could have, I think Southgate struggles to find the right combination of players that have good chemistry and play well off each other. Also Trent is 100% a starter

I swear if Trent was any other nationality, that country would build their team around him. Easily our most creative player on the ball, i would love Trent to start and i would love to see Gordon starting. Just imagine those long diagonal balls from Trent to Gordon, it could create us so many chances.

Southgate has a job o his hands selecting the right line up in each game. The back line is a big concern but hopefully the quality of these lads can come through.
The cam and rw positions, wow, the options are huge here. Saka, Palmer, foden, Bowen can all play rw. Bellingham, foden, Palmer, eze can all play cam. It's about getting the selection right. Only real left winger is Gordon, perhaps Bowen should have been left at home (harsh) and grealish included purely for a more balanced squad. Obviously elephant in the room, Foden left wing 🤢 If he plays there I'm worried but maybe he and Bellingham can rotate 🤷♂️ big problem there if no Shaw at lb, no natural left footer to hold the width
The space in behind when we press that high was found out against Brazil and Iceland. Would like to see Wharton and Rice start, prey Shaw gets fit soon. We need Toney or Watkins to step up as you said Kane isn’t doing it for ever the pool is poor in my opinion for English strikers at that World Class / Top Premier League level

For all you Southgate sceptics out there please name one other England manager in the last 50 years who has got us to a final, a semi final and a quarter final during their tenure?
Very limited view. Name one England coach that wouldn’t do the same with the squads that Southgate has had.

England will be a disjointed mess with multiple 1 cap players in the team and on the bench. Foden has never played well for England if Bellingham doesn't turn up they be out in the group stages.
