One of those experiments you'd think would be an immediate failure...

"This thing rips!"
carpenters: Yes. That's exactly what it's doing.
"I think the blades are bent"
You've made them into a dado blade.
4 blades with 1 inch spacers between each blade should act as a pretty good tire.
I was thinking four blades too, but in a 2+2 arrangement (blade pair, thin spacer, blade pair) to increase the contact area around each teeth. If you apply all of the force on a blade that is only 4mm wide, the ice fractures and the ice chips get evacuated by the gap between blades. If you double the blade width to 8mm, the ice should fracture less, there won't be as much space for ice chips to evacuate and you won't dig yourself in quite as fast.
Cool vid! Beyond the Press also did this a few years ago with a Subaru on a frozen lake
You should stack them to be equal to tyre width
Beyond the Press (same people from the Hydraulic Press Channel) did this years ago. Love your remake as well =)
Crazy, crazy fun! That guy with the BEYOND THE PRESS channel used manhole covers with good success on gravel, dirt, snow, ice.
Awesome! You guys are great. Been watching for a long time. One of my favorite UA-cam channels. Ty for this one.
🎉
,😮
These guys never disappoint.
man couldnt find a frozen lake in russia
Lol
Finland has 🎯 and a tuber already tested these.
😂😂
@@taurielv hydraulic press channel
Lmao
Put 10 on each side and install every other disc backwards so you don't have to worry about reversing.
This matches the results the Hydraulic Press channel got when they tried this a few years back. They drove on a lake and just like Garage 54 they found the car was not accelerating or cornering very good.
Video Idea: Make tank tracks out of a chain trencher. A half track lada.
You might have to low gear it.
Tank tracks that dig a hole that could be problematic
The bearing gave up. No wonder the bearing gave up! You guys are absolutely nuts, but we love it.
Should redo this with enough blades to have a similar thickness to regular tires
Once the global power grid collapses and we lose all forms of conventional refrigeration, such specially outfitted Ladas will be in high demand for cutting ice blocks from frozen lakes and rivers. The refrigeration problem is thus resolved thanks to Garage 54. Thanks guys!
Beyond the press done this before
Ages ago actually...my first thought when i saw this Vid 😁😁
Now that's some cutting edge thinking.
Something about "carving a path".
You should try 4 blades with every other one reversed so the the teeth give traction in both directions.
When you wrote the tire size on the blade lol
Looks like it was the correct aspect ratio too. lol
You should have sawed sewer manhole covers into saw blades with thicker steel
Not only that but, the smooth edge of the manhole cover would let Vlad drift the Lada on ice.
Myth busters did that
I come to the comments to say the same thing Steel man hole covers but will the teeth cut into it and maybe some body lifting
3:24 you are good people
You should try them on a Niva.
Just liked and subscribed, I love the crazy stuff you guys do, I get cold just watching most of it though ha ha.
Hydraulic press channel did that one. Same results. mostly
jesus christ man! when you stuck your head out to check it while it spinning at ungodly speed i prayed it didnt come apart cause i love this channel. maybe in the future add a cage around just in case....how will many people cure their depression without this channel lol. so please be a bit safer guys. i usually throw safety to the wind but weve lost too many goats all ready.
Didn't that happen to the guy with a homemade helicopter? Tail rotor made contact with the ground, shattered. The guy looked back just as a piece flew his way. I don't remember if it killed him, or not.
Almost happened to stuntman on neutral drop UA-cam channel
At 10 .26 I immediately pictured a sawmill. Lol 😂
The giant smile on his face says it all.
Watched this vid & laughed so hard as the wheel & axle went for a 💩💩 towards the end of the vid! 🙂🙂 Yup 107% for sure!😊😊😊
I'd love to see a 4x4 version
You guys should try using jb weld instead of a head gasket. Completely remove the head gasket and just glue the head to the block with jb weld.
Thank god with have this guy’s to keep us entertained with their crazy insane Madmax style shenanigans!!👌😂👍
Love your channel! Greetings from the USA
this video completes my inner childs imagination drawing cars with saws for wheels back in the toddler days lol
It's like cutting tram tracks in the ice, which could make for interesting driving if the car were to be placed in said tracks on tram or train wheels... :P
heheh i love these guys serious but with just the right amount of craziness
Everybody is happy until it rolls on your feet
love the DIABLO / FREUD saw blades, they are made in ITALY, near my home
Solid!
Top KEK!
Peace be with you.
17:10 but it is moving! And that's a good thing
Meanwhile out back :
Little late. HPC did this years ago with sturdy blades on a frozen lake
I'd love to see the results if more blades are stacked per wheel, distributing the surface contact.
Ladas are so tough they can double as saws.
The big one is a wood cutting blade, the smaller one with more teeth is a concrete cutting blade.
Add more blades on the back wheels. i'd say 8 and some carriage bolts through the edges to prevent it from bending outward.
Dangerous grinder attachment
You should make a lada with HUGE tires and lifted suspension
Awesome! Not bad...
combine more blades and make it wider
Think flintstones car.
But blades😂
@@fastinradfordable 😄
I wanna see it saw a board. That's a big dado stack if I've ever seen one.
Nice please do this again with the better saw blades
I can't believe you have an R/C Lada that looks exactly like the real ones you have!
Beyond The Press video is better (and been around longer), but you guys did ok
Bpc channel done this on a frozen lake. With an all wheel drive car.
I'm surprised that it dug deeper going in reverse because the teeth were pointing in the wrong direction...must be pretty slick if you're able to clutch out and it idles without stalling lol
100Percent traction on frozen roads:)
No grip at all, But the torque is still lacking ;) Need turbo.
My favourite Fins UA-camr did that a couple of years ago
Best video of the year
Next time do it with 10 blades ( 5 forward & 5 backwards ) alternating each one.
I could not give this video a thumbs up in fear that the saw blades would tear the skin on my finger through the touch screen on my cellular phone.
Rusland crushed ice for sale!
always great vids and knowledge
This has to be way up the holler some where in West Virginia!
I bet they love God guns biscuits and gravy!
You made a Portable Saw Mill !!!
Now go the other way, and instead of 1 to 58, try 58 to 1. I am guessing that the car takes off like a rocket as soon as you tap the accelerator lightly. Either that, or the engine and gearbox explode.
doing this but 10 blades wide for each wheel would probably work better/cause less damage.
Maybe a combination beetwen chainsaw and regular tires is a good half way to have grip on ice
Siberian take on a icebreaker.
And he's ripping up the ice 😅
What is more grippier?
Wide tires or narrow tires in snow?
Funny video. Thank you.
Amazing madness!!
I thought i seen this before but that was the hydraulic press Finn.
Stopping will be better than going
If you fitted like 10 or 15 instead of 2 it would be like actual spikes
Add more saw blades keep adding until you get the same thickness as a tire.
Stack the saw blades 5-10 wide see how much grip you can achieve.
I just want that with my bicycle a couple years ago
Michigan USA
You guys should reverse engineer a car to drive Trunk forward put the headlights where the break lights are supposed to be and put the break lights where the headlights used to be and put the steering axle where the rear axle used to be and put the rear axle in what used to be the front end.
Beyond the press did something similar a few years ago.
Another idea would be to replace the front wheels with skis
Day 22 of asking for a built turbo Lada motor you can easily swap.
The buzz wagon from Wacky Races?!
how about making an adaptor that fits them on the wheels like snow chains
Do 10 blades with 10mm spacings.
Certainly wouldn't be sticking my head out the car whilst driving it! 😱
Make chains for rubber excavator tracks.
i find it funny that all russian foreign media is dubbed so they're doing what they know, dub it for others instead of just subtitles
looks like you could not even get out of 1st gear lol
God, it's like something out of Gmod.
They are saw blades after all.
Reminds me of beyond the press
4 blades and AWD
Probably needed skis on the front.
Make a automatic transmission
All that's missing is zombies 🧟♂️
👍
I haven't seen the video yet but my guess is its going to sink or eat itself into the ground
This was already uploaded before.
Beyond the press did this a couple of years ago
Y are the blades on backwards? They face the other direction when cutting on a saw..
