I totally wish I could beta read your book . . . I've done beta reading in the past (for fan fiction, which of course isn't the same, but still). But I'm going to be moving in the next few months and, due to my low-grade depression, I hardly have any energy for anything. Any energy I have has to go toward packing, and getting this house ready for our tenants. I'm so impressed you've finished a book draft - that's really amazing!

I wish I had the focus to be able to write like that. I always wanted to write a novel, but as soon as I get a paragraph down, I go into editing mode and get bogged down with getting every detail perfect until I get bored with it.
Believe me, I totally get that. Until now, I've never gotten more than a few thousand words into a book, despite trying for years, because I'd decide it was terrible and get too depressed to keep trying. I guess this was easier because it seems really important to me, but I still really had to push myself to get it done. Every day, I had to open the document and stare blankly at it for 45 minutes or so, before I had any possibility of actually getting started. I wish you the best of luck with it, should you give it another go.

Congratulations on finishing the first draft, that's a massive achievement! I would definitely love to proofread it. I'm really interested in the topic, but the thing is I don't know if I would have any 'advice' to offer or anything useful to say, as I'm not exactly a great writer myself. Still, I'm excited about this project of yours and hope to find the energy to write an email some time. :)

@@JakeAvPD Sure thing! :) And I'll definitely be sticking around! There's not a lot of channels like yours out there about AvPD, and it motivates me to make progress myself.
Way to go as far as the fantasy stuff and pursuing your avenues. I can feel some connection with you and hope you see my comment as I tend to be into some introverted stuff too and have a hard time talking to people, but you help me to feel like I have purpose in connection and relation.
