Excellent review. I like the tripod. The more interesting is the Komodo K5. You use it for stills as well which means the locking mechanism must be tight and precise.
@@TheHybridShooter I purchased the Smallrig converter.. But I only have one 1/4 screw hole that lnes up with 501 plate, when the tightening lever on the 2280 is oriented to the back. At 4:33 there appears to be something screwed in to the center 3/16 hole...did you by chance use some type of adapter to convert it to 1/4?
Great review. Not sure I can justify the purchase with the high price though. I’m starting to shoot more video outside and looking for a portable tripod that can be used low to ground, portable, and not too heavy (or expensive). Any ideas or recommendations?
Not really to be honest. It never really worked when I tried to save money on tripod. Especially if you want it to be solid and portable at the same. Also depends on the setup that you want to use it with.
IFOOTAGE Gazelle Uprise TC5 Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod 359e + iFootage Komodo K5 156e = 500e in my country (France). So disappointed by this price :( It's possible to have an Aluminium Version of this tripod ? And with this, can i do photos and videos perfectly in travel with my XT4 or Em1 Mark 3 ? Thanks a lot

Thank you, yes, it is very solid.
Can you mount a XT4 or an Em1 mark 3 directly on the Komodo ball joint head (mounted on the tripod), without any additional accessories?
yes
cool product thank you for showcasing
You're welcome, thank you for watching!
How did you connect the small rig adapter to the original 501 plate
With two 1/4 inch screws.
The Hybrid Shooter Thank you. Of course the Smallrig adapter is on back order

Hello I used the 3/8 provided with the 2280 and connect to the 501 original plate

Well, that is how much high-quality carbon fiber tripods cost...
@@TheHybridShooter Oki, i see that the TA5 (model alu) is cheaper (100e less) but good also.
