OR wire them up and create beautiful indoor light fixtures for above your kitchen island (hanging them at different heights from the ceiling) or for above the bar area at a pub or fun restaurant.
Innovative, unique, and attractive. A great piece and a very interesting vid. Keep 'em coming Jack!
Thanks M. What is your pic?
Only by watching the thumbnail I felt in love with this thing 😜 beautiful!
Thanks Rob. Will you make one?
@@JackMackWoodturning I don't have the equipment and your skills, Am a carpenter :)
The beauty in that is everything. Omg!
Jack, that is really cool! It will make an excellent art piece for a coffee table. Great job buddy! Always enjoy your work. May God Bless You and your family.
Thanks billy. I appreciate your kind words
Very beautiful! I'm not sure what it could be used for, but it is really pretty and I liked the use of construction paper and resin. Perhaps a colorful napkin holder for the table? Nice work!
Thanks Julee. Great idea 💡
Would definitely need an outrageous table cloth to match 🤣😊👍🏻
Is that what it was construction paper?
Not all beautiful things need to be used for something! That’s what we call ART!
Hermoso trabajo!!!!!
Sorry I have no way of translating this comment 😕
@@JackMackWoodturning it means 'Beautiful job' also you can use google translate or learned spanish like me

@@JackMackWoodturning in my living room so everyone how comes see me can look at that beautiful act it's beautiful
Ok that is flat out gorgeous!!
Thanks W. Who is your character?
@@JackMackWoodturning old character from a virtual world I helped create and manage
Ooh sounds interesting. Does it still exist?
@@JackMackWoodturning sadly, no. It closed down about 5 years ago. Friends still call me Waifer though so the nickname stuck, haha
1. Where did the hole go?
2. Wow that's beautiful
3. Hehe your mother hehehehe
Say what now?
Brilliant piece Jack, very inspirational, I showed this video to my wife and she was amazed. I've done micarta style a few times but never with card, didn't cross my mind tbh, maybe I'll try it on something. Don't let nick see this, he'll be on it in no time, still it'd be better than him doing more pencils 😂 😂
Keep up the great work buddy, looking forward to your next piece. 👍
Nice one WK. Let me know how you get on, would love to see your take on it. I have some interesting projects lined up I think you might like 😊👍🏻
That is crazy cool! I want one to put on my desk! Love your videos, just haven't had a chance till now to watch any for a while! I never know what you're gonna end up with, but this piece is really amazing. Thanks Jack!
Nice one Jack. What would you pay for one of these out of curiosity? Cheers
@@JackMackWoodturning The number that pops in my head would be $60. Hopefully that's not an insult! LOL...really no idea how much that kind of stuff goes for.
I was just curious to see how people the pieces. No offence taken 😊👍🏻
Beautiful and wow! Can’t believe it worked..
Me neither!

Wow, very trippy! You must always be thinking of great ideas.
I thought for sure you were going to put a light inside it, but nonetheless it's awesome 👌
What sort of light?
@@JackMackWoodturning to make it into a lamp, like drill a hole in the bottom and put batteries or a cord with a bulb inside the blue area
Truly stunning piece, sir. 😍 It brings to mind an almost endless array of shapes the paper could be bound into for setting before being turned... amazing! 👍
Edit: What it really reminds me of is making tie-dye shirts, the way you get endless designs just by folding and using rubber bands in weird and unique ways 😁
Great comparison. Iv’e never tried t shirts but that could be fun. Have you made many?
@@JackMackWoodturning I've made a fair number over the years. It's just one of those random hobbies that come go every few years when I get a wild hair to play around with it. I can't produce the masterpieces that some people out there do, but it's hella fun 😁
voce é ótimo 🙂 é super legal ver voce fazer estas obras de arte, elas ficam tão lindas ♥ parabéns 👍
Thank you. Will you try a piece like this
As someone who has done their fair share of turning, including acrylics, i can appreciate the skill/ difficulty. That being said I white knuckled the entire video. 😆 it’s a beaut!
Nice one J. Will you make one?
@@JackMackWoodturning no way. 😆. I left turning behind after a scary dig caused my spindle gouge to break and fly across the shop.
Oh my ,the talented you have. To be so crafty to make such beautiful memories of designs. You have been blessed with the touch to make beautiful designs. Holy cow I am very impressed. Thank-you for showing the world on what you can do.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
That's amazing, and quite beautiful. I always thought something had to be cylindrical or round to be turned on a lathe. Obviously not, and you really have the technique down. I bet it was still a bit terrifying the first time you tried it, tho!
It’s been about 20 years since I started so it’s been a while since I felt terrified at the lathe
this is unbelievably beautiful work.
how do you come up with something like that?
Just watch and read a lot then make it up as I go along really. 🤣
demons
How amazing do you want this piece to be?
Yes
Thanks Y. What would you use it for?
Wow! You have amazed me again Jack. The idea’s your beautiful mind comes up with in amazing. Anyone can see that you are in love with Woodturning. The pieces you make are museum worthy. Have you ever had an Art show?
Holy cow! How flippin cool was that!!! Wicked neat!!!
