Be careful with the new contract negiocating tips.
When starting the new contract at the end of the season, you save money until then and thus have more money to spend on transfer today that is right.
However, I found that often, players ask for slightly bigger wages with that tips compared to what they accept when starting the new contract right away. I keep that in mind before using this tips too often.💰
It's useful if you're struggling to get enough money to build your team quickly, but if you're managing a team with a tight wage budget that will not go up easily, this might not always be the best idea long-term speaking.)🙂
Agree with all of them except the one about competition reward bonuses. I found out with my AC Milan save in FM20 (that was the last time I played FM) that setting those competition bonuses to high got my players more pumped up and determined to do well in those competitions. The ones where I put the setting to medium or low the players were just not that determined and it showed in their performances.
I started playing in FM21 and in FM21 and FM22 the low bonus was worth it every time for me
I've noticed it's improved my players morale immensely when putting them on high. I'm playing on console version don't know if it's same on pc
You may consider using some of the below while negotiating a transfer:
- If a player has an asking price of 25 million, I'd rather pay upto 25% upfront and another chunk over 3 instalments of 12 months.
- If I know a player is unlikely to feature in 50 league games, I'd offer a good chunk after 50 league appearances.
- So hers's a possible scenario. 6.25 million upfront. 12.75 over 3 seasons in instalments and 15 million after 50 league appearances.
- I'd lock out percentage of profit of next sale and percentage of sale.
- Arrange a friendly to sweeten the deal further if required.
- So effectively, I've saved 6 million on this transfer and still retained 12.75 million on my current season's budget.
- So started my first save on FM 23 with Man Utd and I've already signed Cody Gakpo, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wilfered Singo for a combined 142 million with a budget of 20 million at the start of the season.
How did you raise that much cash?
@@MrAlf092 had some room in my wage budget to push the last one over the line and paid very little upfront and huge chunks in instalments. Managing clubs like United on FM, the inclination is always to rebuild and bring in a lot of players to challenge for trophies. Bringing in players for now and committing those huge chunks from future season budgets is easy because United will generate revenue every season and never go bust in the game.

My way of making money is definitely the last one, only I'm got my focus on Africa and Asia, country like syrie, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Tanzania, the real little one, more then enough gems en good players over there, and they are ridiculously cheap

I am surprised that 4 has no down side. I've put the bonuses up on occasion and had some players get season-long morale boosts. I'd have thought that the lower bonus risks tanking a few players.
Also, the bonus is pro-rated for partial performance. The better you do, the more it pays out.

Would be nice to see you do a run with FM23 where you start with the worst fm manager attributes unemployed in lower leagues and make it to the premier league and become champion.

I've noticed a difference in giving lowest reward I had a few squad players come to me being unhappy about it unfortunately. It's happened as Chelsea it ultimately didn't impact results but it did initially affect some morale
if you set up a friendly league/cup with higher rep teams you will earn more than a once off friendly, you will have to play 2-3 games over a weekend but it normally gets televised as well which is extra income.
just let your youth team plays.

this is a recent feature. Came about 4-5 years ago if I'm right.
It is indeed advisable, especially in low series, to eliminate goal budgets, appearances, etc. etc. and insert "inviting" release clauses to each player, and always try to ask for affiliations ..... I do this with my Taranto, third series Italian
I bought Ronnie Edwards but he cost me 7 large but no add ins. I bought him not to make a profit but as a potential starter in the first team for Leeds Utd. He never made it though and I got rid of him after three seasons

I didn't know about selling transfer clauses. I might have to try that.
About the wages and the extra bonuses for appearance, goal scoring, clean sheets etc. The wages will go out of your wage budget but the bonuses will come not from the wage budget but out the club budget if I'm not mistaking. So mostly I try to negotiate a contract without the bonuses. Except in the lvl 10 package where at the lower leagues you only pay bonuses and no wages cuz all the players are on a no contract deal for 0/week and they live of their bonuses. What I noticed so far and it strikes me as odd is (I'm in a save with tier 10 side Hailsham Town FC) that i can not give more then 50£/week/player while I still have 762/week which I can spend. So I'm trying to sign players that will raise our quality level but I can not sign them because they ask a 200 or 300£/week contract. I have the money available but the club will not allow me to sign contracts for these wages. If you ask the board about it they get pissed of with you as well.

arranging home friendlies for money doesn't work anymore.
on the finance tab, there's a section in expenses called 'other' and it just matches whatver you make in the friendly lol.

You missed one of the biggest tips. Then again, if you're only playing big teams and primarily in England, I can see how it wouldn't be useful. If you're playing in a second or third tier nation/league (Sweden, Norway, Belarus, Austria, Scotland, etc), you'll often have "big teams" come in for your players. *_Never accept the first offer_* Turn it down and even if the player whines, hold frame. Keep doing it and after a while, the big team will come in with an absolutely ridiculous offer. In FM22, running IK Sirius in Sweden, I had Man City and Inter give me over $80 mil for five players. Go look at IK Sirius's roster and tell me who you think is worth that. Spoiler alert: Andreas Murbeck is not worth $22.5m. This year, running Schalke, I paid $9.5m for Dion Drena Beljo. He played 12 games and scored 17 goals and Man City ponies up $82m for him (after I kept turning them down - they started at $12.5m plus clauses). This, along with buying and playing youngsters (religiously), can lead to a billion dollar transfer budget within 20 years.

Anyone else having issues with not being able to save games? After a while every single one of my games will fail when trying to save and it's getting really frustrating. Don't know if it's just a bug that will get ironed out when the full release is out.
I've verified the files and that doesn't change anything. I'm saving on Steam Cloud.

I miss the money glitch we used to have in 22
before i watch this video i tell u how i make money: i buy 16-18 year old kids and loan them until they get 21, I play them 1-2 seasons then I sell them. I buy them at 2-10 millions and I sell them at 20-60 millions. I get flops ofcourse. Also I sell players at the age of 29 to loose their sallary and to get some money. Now I watch your video.
When I sign a young player I hate to sell them on as I wanna build them up 😄 🤣 😂
