Its the same one? Just has to use a different shell and screen since the screen was the wrong screen for the edition. And the husband fucked up the shell when trying to put the wrong screen in making the old shell worthless and probably loose asf and wouldn’t hold a screen in place

My Xbox one wouldn't turn on either. Turns out I just needed a new power supply. I bought a 3rd party one from GameStop for ~$30 and it works great although the internal fan is a bit noisy.
you always need to desolder and clean the power switch when modding a gba because any dirt in there will cause issues with turning off even with full batteries, and the usb c battery doesn’t last long compared to rechargeable AAs

why are people freaking out about the new shell?? they needed to do that, they trimmed the shell for the gba sp screen to fit on the normal gba, thus damaging *that* shell beyond repair.

That's an Nintendo DSi screen, It gives a more authentic look to the original. Clearly, they didn't look at the guide. Because with original cases, there's a lot of plastic you need to trim.

Can you fix DS Lites? I have a 15 year old one that was gifted to me by my brother who was deployed in the Navy. He now lives in Thailand so I like having a bit of him near. The game cards work fine, but it will no longer read traditional cartridges. Even blowing in the cartridge and the port like an Atari doesn’t help.
I actually solder them to the start button anyway because I like to play Donkey Kong Land and you have to hold down the select button to use the animal's special abilities

I’m not JayBoy but I do this sorta thing myself, I expect you mean doing the screen replacements and whatnot, you can get the parts for it through websites like ZedLabz, Handheld legend, retro modding and various others, you can get the system from online marketplaces such as eBay, facebook marketplace etc, I also heard you can get them for cheap from Japan. Hope this helps!

@@jeremyslah1617 I'm a little late, but all of the "figuring out what to do" part involves is googling what the problem you're trying to fix is and watching some videos of other people successfully fixing it to give yourself an idea of what's going on. The "how do I do this successfully" part involves watching some basic training videos (proper iron heat, soldering etiquette, properly applying flux etc) and you can practice on some old electronics you pick up at your local ewaste dump or just get junk electronics online and apply what the videos show you.

First, try disassembling it and just cleaning it out. The shoulder buttons can get dust or lint in them, preventing the contact from being made.
