You have a wonderful view from your windows! I live in the middle of the city: all I see is buildings, cars and people! There has never been a piece you made I don’t like! You have a special talent, did you know that? I love blues, but autumnal colours are my favourite too! I absolutely adore that fabric with the printed leaves 🍂 This is a wonderful piece ♥️🧡💛🤎♥️🧡💛🤎♥️🧡💛🤎🍁🍁🍁
Thank you very much Alexandra. So kind of you. Not many weeks ago I was posting a similar piece in a big hand embroidery group on FB and a “nice” women told me that here 3 years old could do that better and my piece wasn’t something that belonged in the group. I am glad that I not is a person to shake easily, but for the love of, I can’t understand why a person needs to write such comments instead of scroll by the post. 😊
@ Oh, I’m so sorry about that. I know the group you’re talking about, I was part of it for a while to see if I liked it (I never posted anything), but I started noticing some unpleasant comments and I got out of the that group. I don’t understand the intention of deliberately hurting other people’s feelings. I’m glad you ignored it, because you’re one of the most talented artists I follow here and on instagram 🤗😘💙💙💙🌹🌹🌹
This piece is really beautiful! I love the combination of stitches, the thread colors, and all of the fabrics. The focal point is original and colorful.
Hallo, Lisbeth, dank U voor dit video!!! Het is zo mooi!!! De kleuren van herfst in een canvass of palette!!! I like the Women of Europe!!! They are so nice, so soft, and so talented!!! Mijn schoonmoeder was zo een!!! May you continue doing these things and collect them, or maybe sell them at etsy!!! I would like to know.....tfs
If the shell was getting fastened in a spot where you could get a needle through the fabric (not sure if the underlying piece had holes in it), then one possible strategy: create a small ball of fabric filled with fiberfill. Glue the ball into the concave surface of the shell. Pass a threaded needle from back of fabric, through the ball and back down onto the back again. The size of the ball would be big enough to mostly fill the concave surface and allow a needle to go through it, but not so big that the shell couldn't lay flat. I hate gluing items like this also. I always get it somewhere I don't want it and, even if it dries clear, it's shiny and I can tell it's there.
I know the feeling. Another here has suggested nearly the same solution as you, a perhaps I will thy that another time. Btw the little piece is not a shell buy the top of a silk cocoon
Gorgeous! Fabulous seasonal colors Lisbeth..thanks for sharing. 👏👏👏👏👏
