I've been experimenting with collage, but it has been largely disappointing for me. When I saw this, I knew right away I would enjoy it, and I did! I made 6 pieces with the same 5 elements in each. Working with smaller pieces made it feel less intimidating, and once I had picked out my 5 elements then I found I could relax and enjoy trying to find different compositions for each. So pleased with my results, I know I will do more of these. I appreciate the inspiration!

Love your process, and the resolution. I love that you “audition” the possible bits and pieces for compatibility and quiet drama. Let’s have a joyful and creative new year.

Because I couldn’t draw things ‘properly’, I was told I was no good at art. It’s taken me til I was 68 to learn that creativity is possible for everyone. I could always knit and crochet and sew clothes, but until 2024 I never explored abstract creativity, and now I LOVE it. Such simple things as circles provide so much scope for individuality. I love what you have done and, of course, will try it myself too. Thankyou ❤🙏

It has been a few months since I watched your videos. My mother was an artist and is now at the very end of Alzheimer’s disease. So I spend a lot of time at the nursing home and grieving. I’m not an artist but enjoy abstract painting and collage. I’m so happy I selected this video today. Blues are such relaxing colors for me. I don’t think you need to be a storyteller. I have always enjoyed listening to you while you work - just being yourself. I’m glad you said this is a good practice in contrast. I. Working on that in my jewelry making

Perhaps you could take a ribbon and sew it top and bottom inside of book , one on each side of spine, so that you could slide the page of the signature that goes into the pocket, behind the ribbon, and then into the pocket, thus holding the signature in the cover a little more securely
