Slayer scares everybody. That's their job.
lmfao fr fr
😁👍🎵🎶
I worry about the people who aren’t scared of Slayer. I’m a huge fan of them and they they still scare me.
and they are really good at it... it's a short list folks... besides yourself.... who scares you the most... a good question to ask yourself....
scaring people and raping ears is their bread
"Now I shall Reign in Blood" means he will take revenge and kill all the angels. Rule in their blood. The chaotic guitar solos at the end is Slayers interpretation of him killing the angels with his sword as they are flying around him and their blood is raining down on him. (Raining Blood)
This is how Kerry King (lead guitar) described it.
Welcome to SLAYER!
Man, it's nearly 3am and im imaginening the angels screaming with their bloody faces
Guess i wont sleep tonight
This is a classic for every old school metal head 💪👍❤️
Punks love Slayer too.
@@Eidelmania Of course! I wouldn’t leave the punk brothers out! 🤟
Thrash metal owes a huge debt to old school hardcore punk for obvious reasons. Hardcore these days is either bad heavy metal with no solos or tons of cheesy twin guitar stuff happening (lookin' at you, KSE) and you have to go underground to find the real deal as per usual.
02:16 "Thank God they switched it up"
Narrator: "They're going to switch it up again shortly"
Hahaha. No demons coming for you. The smile on your face is everything Slayer! 😊
Saw them live on their farewell tour with Lamb of God, Anthrax, Testament, and Napalm Death. Show was insane! It was their "farewell tour" (we'll see about that...) so everyone was moshing like it was the last time we'd get to experience it live. Never been to something so violent and spiritual all at once lol.
I saw their second to last concert. It in Vegas with Primus and Ministry.
Slayer was one of the earliest examples of just straight up, edgy, hardcore shit. they wanted to be the most evil sounding, heaviest thing in the world, and - they were - for a while.
In a VS battle, I think Slayer will always hold up, even if only technical
@@blankmike4613 that's because nothing beats authenticity. You got those that create and innovate, and the rest just immulate and immitate. SLAYER SLAYS THEM ALL!!!
@@dreddmann9292 100%
3:18 "this is the most hardcore song I've ever heard in my life"
I love it! I was lucky to have seen them live a couple times before they retired. Great reaction!
This is one of THEE BEST live songs to experience in person. the intro drums warn of whats coming, the first guitar riff is an adrenaline dump and then all hell breaks loose. It is literally like experiencing the Book of Revelations from start to finish.
I was about to say the same. It’s like the tribulation period in revelation when the anti-christ rules. The end with no lyrics to me is Jesus coming back and destroying all the evil souls.
Don't even lie little brother, we all saw your face. You know you loved it. Welcone to the slayer army.
So funny that you paused to say, "I was worried" at the precise moment before it goes off the rails...
What makes slayer scary is the sound of their music, its dark as hell. I think you should listen to their song seasons in the abyss.
You’ve just experienced one of the “big four” bands dude. Slayer is an acquired taste. I love them but I have to be in the mood myself and I’ve been listening to metal since the mid 80s. Love them
Who are the other three? Metallica? Pantera? Megadeath?
@@Djsjdndnfrkkee replace Pantera with Anthrax and you would be correct.
@@Atlas-Heisenberg_756 Facts
My mood is everyday friggin LA traffic if not for Slayer I don’t know how I’d cope, if I’m listening to slayer at 6am your good💖🙏💯
The song describes an angel that's been cast into Hell. The angel then awaits to take his revenge on the kingdom of heaven. That's at least the softest explanation I can offer.
I used to listen to this every morning before school in the 80s.
🤘🏻😎👌🏻
The real bible is scarier than they could ever be lol, I saw them last year in Hershey and they were amazing!
The bible is only scary, when you realize, that we are all in this so cslled "world". Satan is the ruler oft the this, but the Lord Jesus Christ ist our last and only chance to get out here !
@@GamerRuck fairytales
@@Glory_to_the_undead_King You see the bible and all whats' mentioned everyday. Namens, buildings, philosophies, freemasonry everywhere. ;) You are living in "their" world. All other than the bible is a big, fatal illusion.Read the first one and explore .You will be suprised, what they hide and you shouldn't get......
I also thought,it was a fairytale and written to control us..But it is the exactly opposite, from what they teach us..
It's crazy man, if you go to a concert with multiple high level bands and Slayer is there.. They will steal the show, even at the age of almost 60. They just flat out shred.
them drums....freakin Lombardo
3:15 WTF....this is the most hardcore song in my life"........Good luck with (the lyrics) Slayer - Angel of death :-).
*laughs in Infant annihilator*
That one's just a history lesson.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Memes have completely ruined that for me lol
Expendable youth..
Or "hell awaits"
i was lucky enough to see them live, this song killed but so did their whole show. crazy pits
Welcome to the Slayer rabbit hole. LOL They have made a career from talking about how messed up people and beliefs can be
Lol
That's how slayer makes you feel. Keep it up.
They have some very intense instrumentals but they have a lot of different speeds. They were my favorite for many years and still hold a high place for me musically
I had the pleasure of attending Slayer's farewell tour, with Anthrax, Lamb Of God, Behemoth, and Testament. Hell of a show, literally. Slayer went up last, and they had fireballs shooting every which way on stage.
One of the best guitar riffs of all time. Jojo look out behind you lol gr8 choice lil cuzz
I once heard a commentator say that watching a Slayer concert is like watching the apocalypse happening
There's zero wasted energy and zero BS in Slayer's music. They had a record drop on September 11th, 2001 called "God Hates Us All". It opened with a song called "Disciple". It was like getting kicked in the teeth when I did finally listen to it. They are an acquired taste for some metal fans. Through all of it, they seem sincere--which is unnerving.
Thats what I love about Slayer. It's never sad, never tongue in cheek, never playful, never fun, they take the darkest aspects of humanity and pummel you over the head with it with deadly seriousness.
It's hard for me to even imagine not having heard Slayer. I guess there's a first time for everyone. Welcome to the club.
35 years ago 😅 Damn
Their actually really nice and kind down to earth guys... I know them long time. The music is like a horror movie but sound. Its like a director who makes scary movie's it doesnt mean he is a serial murderer he just enjoys the genre. Same as them they touch on that style. Its meant to thrill n ya touch into that edge.. The first track from that album is about the holocaust and adolf hitlers medical horific experiments on humans and what not. Their not worshipping him but educating people. Pull up the lyriccs on it. You'll see. The name is "angel of death.
South of heaven album title track is another incredible guitar drum slam dunk. Great hook.
very cool way to put it!
I love your reactions. You are genuine and honest...i love it.
Upon hearing Slayer, every man reacts in the one and only way that he can. Shouting SLAAAYEEER profusely 🤣
Nothing man’s u up faster than Slayer, who needs weapons when you have SLAYER!!!
Slayer has been one of my favorite bands for over 30 years…. Lol… yep I’m old.
Whoever suggested this deserves a medal, greatest thrash album EVER and it's only 30 something minutes long!
Yes this is the GOD OF METAL FOR REAL.
Slayer - Overt Enemy. Lyrics are perfect for what is happening right now.
Favorite song
Great song. There's a former Slayer cover band out of Texas called Overt Enemy. They've started putting out their own music lately. They're awesome. Oh & they do still have some Slayer covers on their albums
These guys are amazing live my wife and I were fortunate to see them twice and this song gets everyone crazy
"This band kinda scares me"
He gets it. Slayer is an auditory horror movie.
I was 14 when I first heard slayer, their music was like evil in sound version.
„This band kinda scares me“
cant wait for a Burzum reaction :)
This is one of the greatest bands ever.
I love the absolute amazing coincidence of stopping it right at the part where it gets insane, literally a split millisecond before, and talking about how it's not as crazy as you thought it would be. Absolute gold right there.
First person I've ever seen to just straight up vibe from slayer on there first reaction metal is all Abt getting in your head an thinking while you listen
🤘😝🤘 aww man! You did really good👍👍 on this song "Rain in Blood" by the one and only "Slaaaaayer"🤘
There are so many great and classic songs from Slayer. I mean, they've been goin' strong for 30 plus years. You should do the song Disciple next.
1981 😁
@@siegfrieddejong1836 OMG its been 40 years. I'm getting old lol
One of there biggest Bangers ...#SLAYER🔥
My favorite line is "betrayed by many, now ornaments dripping above" meaning THEY are the ornaments dripping or raining blood?
One of the best plays on words was naming the album Reign in Blood, but naming the song Raining Blood.
I love these videos, I laughed so hard my belly hurt!!!
The shredding guitar at the end is supposed to be the screams of the damned souls that broke the rules in stone
Try Dead Skin Mask. At the end you can faintly hear "I'd like to go home now Mr. Gein" Gives me chills EVERY TIME.
'I'll keep you forever' still scares the shit out of me 😆
Deadskin Mask! Skeletons of Society would also be choice.
FUCKING SLAYER!!!!!!
Was lucky enough to see them 5 times, and 4 of them were near death experiences!!!
Saw these guys in Seattle !!! They are dope!!!!
When I saw these guys in NY in the early 90's, people were throwing m80's into the mosh pit from the balconies 😂
"I keep my bible in a pool of blood so that none of its lies can affect me." one of my fav Slayer quote I believe from their song Disciple...
Mine too
Nope. That's from New Faith not Disciple
@@HighOnFire1997 If that is true, I'm sorry. Haven't listened to this album in a while for various reasons. Still one of my favourite Slayer albums right after Divine Intervention (my first) and Undisputed Attitude (I just love the vibe)...
@@maccrazy7335 no need to apologise haha
Slipknot were touring with Slayer & an interviewer asked Corey Taylor what the scariest thing about touring with Slayer was & he said "The Fans. Slayer fans are the scariest fans on the earth"
The First time i saw Slayer live was a at festival in Ireland. The Ozzfest that Ozzy didn't turn up for & Tool ended up headlining. It started to rain just as they started to play Raining Blood & the rain stopped as soon as the song finished. It was a really cool moment & was the only time it rained the entire day.
As a lifelong rap and metal fan I love watching your reactions to Slayer, fun fact: the drummer, Dave Lombardo, actually plays some disco beats and this is why you can groove to this awesomeness!
Back in the day, I saw Slayer during the Clash of the Titans tour with Megadeth and Anthrax in Sacramento, California. I wasn't a huge Slayer fan, being there mainly for the other two bands. However, one thing that will always stick with me was the vision (from up in the stands) of a swirling, massive mosh pit, lit red by the stage lights. It was like a vision of hell, with Slayer providing the soundtrack. It was like the whole floor of people was moving.
We used to play this for the baby before bed. Made him one fn awesome kid. Love you James.
don't be afraid of the metal young one the metal is in all of us
slayers the bomb -saw em live in toronto '83 kick ass band
Funny thing is the band members are super chill. Tom Araya has a super aggressive voice when he does vocals but when he is just talking he's like a metal santa clause
Yeah and he’s Christian
I luv the youngsters reactions now a days they f#$$%%n dig the stuff
I (14 years old) am just starting to discover metal and truly it isn't bad at all...
The smirk at 5:43 !!! FUCKIN SLAYER !!!
Luv it! I’m here for it brother. Authentic tic reactions
"I'm getting scared already, and I haven't even started the song" ROFL, yep that's Slayer!!!!!
Now I shall REIGN IN BLOOD!!!
Hi Jojo nice seeing you got a channel too. Keep it up
*ALMOST AT 3K ALREADY!!!* You’re Moving
this song is the #1 metal song of all time!!! south park even used the song in an episode.the town had a hippie festival and couldnt get rid of the hippies.they played "reign in blood" over loudspeakers ,and the hippies left.good job slayer!!!
Pop that Slayer cherry! Yeeeaahhh!! 👍💯
Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz actually used the riff for this in "Stop Fuckin Wit Me"
Check out their song, ghost of war, awesome.
One of my favorites. It really doesn't get the love it deserves.
Slayer was a band to experience live
Slayer : 🤟
This Boy : 😱
SLAYER FUCKIN’ SLAYER!!!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
You just experienced metal greatness, majority of metal "labelled" satanic are usually a warning about darkness....
Exactly, most of the musicians are either atheist or just open minded believers. For the darker themes it’s just like horror movies. Also Tom Arya is a Catholic, this song was just a theme that the band came up with. I don’t think anyone in metal is serious about their themes whether dark, light, or anything in the middle.
Black Metal on the other hand……….. Well.
scared, worried, angry and excited actually best describes how slayer songs feel lol
Liked for this title cracked me up. Subbed (and prayed 🙏) for the lyrics included
My favorite album I bout in 1986 and still love it today!!!!!
It's about politics and how military and political leaders Reign in blood...the peoples blood
Body Count (Ice-T's metal band) does a very respectable cover of this song. Ice-T also did a song with Slayer for the Judgment Night soundtrack.
I was very young when I first heard of slayer and heard this song. I used to play the game GTA vice city when I was a little girl and the song that sticks with me throughout all of the GTA's and the songs on the radio slayer is the most memorable. Then when I was 13/14 I seen them live.
My favourite album from the band! Also worth listening : Angel of Death, Piece by Piece, Postmortem, Reborn.
As far as I can tell, the song is about Satan preparing to take revenge for being cast down to Hell for his rebellion against God. It's a really short song but then the whole Reign in Blood album (note the play on words between "Reign in Blood" / "Raining Blood") is only 30 mins long.
If you're interested, have a read of Milton's Paradise Lost and see if you can feel Satan's anger at being cast out, betrayed (as he sees it) and rejected by the angels whom he would once have called "brother". That's what this song is trying to get across, or at least, that's how I interpret it.
For a different, and much longer, musical interpretation of this theme, check out "At War With Satan" by the British band Venom. That song weighs in at over 20 minutes long.
Man you have listened to alot of my fav bands....
Saw them in a super small venue in Salem Virginia and it was amazing!! One of the best and it was even better that Primus and Phil Anselmo singer from pantera were also there.
At some of their concerts, there is red dyed water raining down on them when they play this. At least I THINK it's red dyed water. ]:)
Life will never be the same...
The song that hooked me into Slayer in the 90s was SEASONS IN THE ABYSS!!!! OMG, love that song! Dead Skin Mask will keep you up at night if you want to be scared! And whenever I'm angry and just need to scream with a song to work out my frustrations they have a song called God Hates Us All. LMAO, no cap! hahaha
Slayer is the soundtrack for Nightmares.
Welcome to Slayer baby boy.
SLAYYEEEEERRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!
One does not attend a Slayer concert one survives a Slayer concert. I have survived three.
The song is about a man that is cast out of heaven and plans and destroys heaven and the kills the angels, therefore, its RAINING BLOOD!
You're a brilliant young man Jojo. Van taught you well as his son.
I only saw them once around 1989. That was when metal bands toured in small buildings mostly. The stage was only like 5 ft off the ground and I moshed a little until it got too much for me- ya I’m a girl who
Moshed but I had to work the next day and didn’t want to be hurt. Lol. It was awesome
Do yourself a favor and watch them do this in concert. Also if you want heavier, PLEASE check out Sepultura ARISE!!
This isn't scared. Want to be scared, watch them live. 🇺🇸🤘🇺🇸
What you experienced was fun 😂🤘
