I'm sorry for my bad English, it's not my language.
I'm uploading videos about recovering mechanical things. I'm uploading videos about restoring old wooden things. I fix things as I can. I am self-taught. Therefore, if some practices are bad, then forgive me. Thank you.

action index:
00:01 Introducing the lamp
00:35 Dismantling parts
05:45 Removing asbestos seals.
06:25 On the brass part I used a "brass cleaner" consisting of several kinds of acids.
07:40 Clean brass parts with distilled water.
08:15 Drying was followed by polishing with a rag wheel and polishing paste.
09:50 Polishing paste residues can be easily removed with cleaning petrol or acetone.
12:00 I used a common kitchen cleaner to clean the bakelite parts.
12:50 Glue the cracked part of bakelite with two-component glue.
after drying, sand it with fine sandpaper of P2000 roughness and then varnish with clear varnish.
16:00 We have all parts ready and can be assembled.
22:55 Copper soldering tip remains. Good to have spare parts :))
25:15 Comparison before and after renovation.
25:54 Test. In fact, it seems to me as a whole dangerous toy.

If you let it heat up enough and adjust the black knob needle valve properly, it will produce a much smaller blue flame. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks
Your attention to detail is beyond reproach. Amazing result Radek.👍🇦🇺
Thank you so much :) Radek
That looks a raygun from a 1950s sci-fi movie. Loved it.
:))
Gracias Radek, saludos a Veronika.
Gracias nuevamente
Muchas gracias amigo :) Radek
With any hint of asbestos, it is absolutely critical to minimise any dust and fine particles. I would recommend wetting down with oil or water before any mechanical intervention, AND wear a respirator whilst doing the removal. Beautiful result tho. I hope you and yours are safe and well in these tough times.
Thank you for the warning John. Good health. Radek
It looks like James Bond's Soldering iron. Amazing!
This might be a blow torch. Whatever it is, it's another careful and precise restoration. The brass and bakelite contrast is very attractive. Another inspiring Veradona restoration especially in these times when we all need some cheer. Best wishes from the USA.
Thank you for the comment Pat. A lot of power to the USA
Dang! Every time I thought you were done taking a wrench to it, you turned around and loosened ANOTHER nut! Awesome job by the way!
Again, a great restoration and I hope we see it being used in future videos. I hope you guys are staying safe. I’m actually enjoying the self isolation as I get to spend a lot more time in my workshop and I might even be able to learn to start my UA-cam channel. You two are an inspiration.
Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺
Thank you friend. You have your first subscribers! Good health. Veronika and Radek
Veradona Restoration. Thank you so much, you are very kind but don’t expect my videos to be anywhere near your high standards. 🤣😂
I sang “The Man With the Golden Gun” throughout.....beautiful restoration. What a beautiful thing, well done indeed, you brought it back to its former glory 👍
Thank you :)
Excellent restoration....even better than the original....the mark of a true artist. Best wishes to the family and stay healthy my friend!
Thank you my friend. Good health. Radek
I just restored a brass spring balance but it didn't shine like your brass does. Amazing.
Nobody could do this job better👏👏👏
Thank you Wolfgang :)
An excellent restoration. The copper soldering section seems to have been custom made for it... WELL DONE!!! 10/10
Thanks bro :)
That turned out so shiny and pretty...thank you for sharing this beautiful restoration...Great Job👍
Thank you very much Tracy ❤🇨🇿
James Bond would be proud of that gun .Great craftsmanship beautifully restored.😀
😁👍
Yeah, I was thinking this would be the perfect blowtorch for 007. Very nice restoration. You come up with most interesting things.
Nice. Im owner on same one... But yours are better because is made of brass and you have plastic pump handle. Also one tip, you must preheating torch in upside position.
Thanks Toni for the advice
You need to wet down the asbestos while working with it so any small fibers don’t get away. If you just brush it off, you could miss a few and they could kick up later and be inhaled. You don’t want to mess with that stuff. Just some advise. Beautiful job!
thank you for the advice
Wow, stunning piece! Well done, and take good care!
Thanks Matthew :)
Looks like a post modern flame-thrower! 😨
👏👏👏 fro 🇧🇷 Brazil
:))
An older video, but I still am amazed at your skill. Is there anything you cannot restore !!!! ???
Yes it is :( Thank you Stuart :)

An amazing transformation!
Lindo! Bom trabalho.
Very good restoration
This would make an outstanding cigar lighter! I wish we had stuff as nice as this in the U.S. Great video! I binge watch your channel!!
Thank you very much Mark. Good health from Czech Radek
Hey Mark find out where the car guys in your area hold what they call a swap meet car show . Youl find crazy awesome antique stuff to restore .us gear heads hoard everything and once or twice a year we try to sell the crap we were told not to buy but sometimes something is just too cool not to have .
Thank you - I enjoyed this very much.
Thank you John, I'm pleased.
As always another great job my friend. Thanks for the upload.
Thank you very much.

Beautiful!
Thanks for sharing!
That turned out beautiful! Great restoration!
Thanks :)
Beautiful! Love the brass. This torch/soldering iron is so well made. Many precision parts. You did an excellent job. Gasoline seems dangerous in this. Maybe try lighter fluid?
Yes you are right. Pretty dangerous. Therefore, he would rather be on the shelf :)
That is the coolest a have seen in a long time!
Awesome job!!!
Thank you :)
Very nicely done - thank you!
Thank you Harry :)
This blue brass cleaner is awesome!
The bakelite handles and parts can sucessful be polished...
Great job, love the addition of the copper tip, turns it from blow torch to soldering "iron" also.
Thx for the vid!
:-D
Thank you Horst . Nice day Radek
The copper tip was the original part - it was included.
Hi ! Nice work ! At 11:10, maybe next time, you can try hot glue on your pliers instead of paper scotch or both :)
Thanks for advice
This sort of just feels like a cozy nice time project.
Thanks
Nice one Radek!! 5 ***** (Keep that family safe my friend!! x)
Awesome soldering gun..I've never seen one like it!...and nice New socket set!!

Dziękuję :)
Very nice job,thanks.
Thank you Fred :)
Very well done.
Another interesting project...a lot of brass in this tool...brass can easy to clean and polish...I wonmder if gaoline was easier or cheaper to obtain than oxy-acetylene...six million dolar man speed on the sanding and filing of that last piece...great job
Adoro os vídeos. Parabéns. Abraço aqui do Brasil 🇧🇷
Obrigada Bernadete :)
For the self-taught you everything goes well. Keep it up ! ;)
Thank you :)
That, sir, is a flamethrower, not a torch! Awesome mirror polish, it came out really nice!
Lol, thanks
Very nicely done as usual.
Thank you Chanda :)
Amaizing. Good job.👍
Thanks Reuben . Radek
Obrigada :)
Nicely done, sir. Never had seen this type of device before, but it sure does look dangerous. Better in your hands than mine. Thanks for sharing this video.
Thank you Paul, I agree it's dangerous. Therefore, it will only be on the shelf :) Radek
@@VeradonaRestoration I really do.look forward to your postings each week. I especially like the fact that you don't have loud music or talking through what you are doing. You are just a craftsman doing his thing and bringing old items out of the cobwebs. Thanks alot and you keep making them and I will be here to watch them.
I sometimes wonder if it used to shine like that when it was new. Because for a tool it has a lot of shine on it.
Awesome video, awesome music👍
Thank you Steve.
Very nice!
YuryBravo ....
Wow. That's a great one you have there. Looks like a ray gun
Thanks :)
@@VeradonaRestoration btw. Coleman fuel is better than gasoline to run in those. Unless its an alcohol one . those run on denatured alcohol
I like the music in the background, all the video will be the bomb)
Fantastica un oggetto bello e ricercato restauro impeccabile come sempre
Grazie Frederico Buona salute dalla Repubblica Ceca. Radek
Par excellence!
Merci Shahid :)
Good job 👍👍
Bonito cacharro 😅. No..... de verdad es preciosa la restauración 🇪🇸👍👍👍😃😷🍀
Nice work 👍
Didn't know that the GDR exported them in the 50th
I have sold one of them last year so i have pictures of the original Box somewhere on my Computer
And I think too that it was made for gasoline ore petroleum not lighter fluid
and I have a scan of the instruction in German but not Facebook
Thanks Lukas . veradona1.rajce.idnes.cz/Bat/#9JcUr8.jpg
You can use Zippo fluid, but its a little expensive. Use washing gasoline instead. Do not use fuel for cars, it may burn.
Very awesome top notch. I hope you and your wife are safe and well during these dark times. God bless you guys :3. Stay safe and well
Thank you both very much. Good health Veronika and Radek
@@VeradonaRestoration You are very welcome :D
That is the most Buck Rogers lookin thing...
thank you
First you must heat up the torch. Put an tea spoon alcohol in the cup of the base of torch, wait to burn out and than use the tool.
thank you for the advice
Typically used a lot by stained glass window panel makers...🇬🇧👍
Awesome 🥰
wicked cool
Awsome!!
Hello!
This is the rare version, with copper/brass body.
Btw, nice work. I have the same model, but aluminium body.
Just an info for all, don't use regular automotive gasoline/petrol as fuel. It damages the rubber parts inside the pressure valve.
I recommended technical washer, no thinner, no alcohol.
And before ignition, don't forget to properly preheat the nozzle!
Thanks :)
moc pěkné.:-)
Díky Libore
Next time when your dealing with asbestos, don't make it airborne just pour some water on it so the particles don't escape
thank you for the advice
Your excellent at your craft . I,m an antique dealer in Liverpool uk so for me to see you bringing these items back to life is a joy to watch . Do you sell any of your restorations
Thank you. Not really .
That looks badazz
🤷
Those are really good videos on your channel 👍
Thank you :)
