I had a 2001 with a big bore and a stage 2 hot cam, full FMF exhaust, jetted and 1/2inch spacers all around, thing was a torque monster for a 250ish cc engine, but that push rod engine does not like making high RPM power lmao, I abuse that bike so bad I cant believe it never broke down over 4 years and 10,000Km good old honda for ya!

Look at the foot shifter, make sure it’s not stripped. Check plastic underneath the seat to make sure it’s not cracked or your battery will fall through and listen for lifter tick since it’s pushrod. It should be fine though. These quads are bulletproof
