I set about 8 gallons of fish waste(at least five different species of salt and freshwater) in 35 gallons of rain water plus a six qt. basket of forest humus, to ferment 18 moths ago. Very different looking liquid than you have... mid brown colour and much thinner. Thick layer of stuff on top plus lots of residue on bottom. Still stinks to high heaven. Never added brown sugar etc. Anything I might do to complete the fermentation and/or reduce the smell. The batch is in my heated workshop along with about 25 gallons of fermented plant juice... it smells much better. Used lots of comfrey and dandelion root plus forest humus. Go Garth!! Decant and use. Dilute 20-30 to 1. Consider an analysis of the amendments. How to info here. www.nigel-palmer.com/recipeanalysis Fermented fish (page 140) doesn't smell bad at all! Thanks for your kind words.
No one talks about what is in the water you catch from the sky. Every area that it rains in is not the same as other areas. I wonder how much those elements in rain water affect the process.
Great video!
Thank you.
Yummy 🙌

Could I use honey for all the ferments also instead of brown sugar
I have not tried that. There may be too much moisture in honey. You may be making mead which would be interesting.
Hi Nigel. I have a 15 gallon bucket of fermented fish one year old. Do I need to wait two years?
No. I have had good success after a year.
@@nigelpalmer3439 Thank you
Fish sauce? I bet it tastes great.
Yes. Some batches better than others.

Good questions!
@@nigelpalmer3439 thanks. Will you be addressing them in the future?
