There's a mod for rf2 for the Glickenhaus made with actual data from sir bigglick, i'd love to see you have a go, it's beautifully oldschool. Maybe try and beat a pole time, lemans maybe, or spa, and compare it to the LMP1 experience. The toyota is out there too
Seeing jimmer doing another nordschleife hotlap really brings back the memories of finding this channel. Thank you for making mine and I'm sure others days 10 times better ❤️
The best Rebel tree moment was when he was hotlapping the Porsche 962 for the best part of a workday, and on the uncut final lap, when he actually got the time he was hoping for (at some 15 seconds improvement to his original benchmark) he still actually raised his hand off the wheel, while being 110% focused.
If you've never been around an F1 race of this era, it's hard to imagine just how insanely LOUD these things were. My late father and I had been to the Indy 500 every year since the '80s, and stayed close by the track with friends back then. When we arrived for the 2004 US Grand Prix, we could hear the cars practicing on the track from their house, and not just hear them, but HEAR THEM. It was relentless. Walking closer to the track (they're a couple miles from it), we came to realize that earplugs were not just desired, they were an absolute must. Turned out they were literally giving them away in sponsor tents, so we were covered, but man, to hear those cars and watch that race...what a memory.
@@houseking9211The mod is still not 100 % realistic for sure. Jimmy's lap time was closer to the Red Bull X2010 lap he did in Nordschleife than the irl record of 5:19.5 set by Porsche 919 EVO.
@@Olivia_Wolfess I doubt your therapy is working then if you're having an anxiety attack from a video. Being anxious and having an anxiety attack are two very different things.

The nordschleife is probably one of my favourite tracks and just seeing and imagining this car driving around brings me immense joy. Its my dream to drive around here in real life! Thanks so much Jimmer! From Canada
This video brought me back to my childhood: seeing Jimmy Broadbent do laps at the Nordschleife on Assetto Corsa The nostalgia of the old hotlap videos is real
I often watch youtube videos at 1.5x or at least 1.25x speed. This one made me go back and check MULTIPLE TIMES that I was really watching it at 1.0x playback speed. It's unreal how quick that thing is!
You're right, it looks sped up like crazy 😲 How can someone keep up with that? But I have to admit that my laps on the Nordschleife were on a bicycle (no joke, there's a yearly bike race event) so it was a fraction of the speed and I had plenty of time to prepare for ever curve.
Imagine this f2004 with the slicks already but with the addition of an extra gear 8, unlimited hybrid on top and DRS, just to make it even more overkill and insane 🤔🤯🏁
You should do a Nordsleife time table thing of ALL the cars you've taken around there, Top Gear style. Would be a great addition to these vids to see the cars and their lap times compared.
I guess one of the only things I've learned during all this time watching Jimmer rip it around the world's most fun and pointless autobahn is that, beyond say 150 kph, these curbs would do things to you no human ever thought they'd experience or witness. And if you're lucky you get to do it twice !
Jimmy + Nordschleife = perfect pairing. I loved the old series where you drove everything around the Nordschleife. To be honest I enjoyed it more when you did the full lap uncut, it's a more seamless viewing experience, but I don't mind the cuts during the warmups (there are no failed attempts, only warmups)
Good GOD that was fun to watch. Easily my favourite F1 car ever. I'm also a huge Schumi fan so probably biased, hah! The NOISE coming out of that turn onto the back straight at 11:13 then transition at 11:16 is absolutely orgasmic. Legit gave me chills, JESUS!
Try this in pcars 2 with the FX, it’s like they coded the car to eject it’s tyres the moment you pass the carousel, it’s just light lift at bravery, and as you approach carousel the feint sound of Tokyo drift cowbells gets louder and louder until you’re sideways every turn. Also it doesn’t have a gear ratio for the big straight so that’s what can be loosely described as fun
Oh my god the SOUND of that thing. They did a great job, it's just otherworldly. Great money shot in the end there too, shows you really love that car :D Watching - and HEARING - those monstrosities howl off into the distance was always special. Almost melancholic.
One of my favorite things to do on Assetto Corsa is grab the F2004 and go to the Ring and just enter warp speed. It’s such a mental test of “how fast can’t mind process things”

This isn't so much a mod suggestion, but more like a challenge i like doing in most racing games: RNG setup! Pick any racing game you like, preferably with a lot of setup options (i like Gran Turismo Sport), and then pick out a circuit and a car. Set a competetive time in a default setup, and then make EVERY setting in the car picked at random by RNG! Tire selection, ride height, gearing, toe angles and everything! Then see how terrible it is to drive, and see if you can get remotely close to your time, or maybe even beat it...
I wonder if he knows about the 2,000HP version of this car, it should come with that mod. With better slicks and areo, on some circuits it makes it as fast if not Faster than the RedBull X2010.
These cars had that insanity. I think f1 needs to have that wow effect, ofc they still are fast but its so light it attacks the corners and respons steering way that looks just proper madness and make the pilots look brave to drive them. Even with grooved tires real clips its just awesome. Mercedes w11 with party mode was almost up there but they cant send it for whole race, gotta load battery and save fuel ect
That was crazy seeing it hop over the kerb at the end. But the one thing that's frustrating about this is that the lap is edited. You need to have stern words with editor chan. Back in the day it was always the full lap, except for the model T which a marathon runner could keep up with. Love you nonetheless Jimmy.
One or two F1 drivers have parade lapped an F1 atound the ring. They had to seriously change the suspension geometry just so the car could actually lap the Nords. To do anythingike what you did. They would have to build a one off Nords Special in order to be able to lap the ring at speed.
