I usually push down my, what are they called, oh yeah feelings? But this made me tear up. I haven't been this emotional since I left the womb. Very beautiful.
I've got Seymour Duncan humbucker's in my ltd m-400 2017, not sure of the actual spec's but love them, S.D. would have to be one of the best makes of pickups around for sure.
They all sound amazing!! I am seriously looking at replacing the stock pick ups in my 2017 PRS SE Custom 24 with the 59 Humbuckers!! They sound awesome!! Great video, thanks!!
I don't have SD 59, but I use lil '59 for neck pickup on my strat. Love that pickup so much. IMO, show the pickup tone on its own without any backing track. Both in clean, overdrive, and distortion. So, people can learn the sound of that particular pickup.
great playing great video - would have loved if you had either - your pedals turned off or identified which ones were on and at what setting(s). hard to know the diff from the pedals and the pickups.
I've got Seymour Duncans in 11 of my guitars (I had guitars instead of kids - sue me) and they all sound great. These surprised me a little. The strat sounded as good as I'd expect, but the Tele sounded way better (and I've never been a fan of that twang), the Gibson sounded a little muddy. It could have been the microphone used to record or the speakers I'm listening on but they just didn't pop to me. I've got primarily humbuckers from SD so I know it's just a fluke. I recently swapped the P90s in my ESP Eclipse to the P90 Stack set and they sound AWESOME.
(Poplar Body, need neck Allman Bros and Bridge Classic rock Kiss etc) , so I believe I need a mixed set , not just a blues set. I have a poplar body, with split coil humbucker set up, I'd like Neck (using split coil) Allman Bros/ SRV/ Hendrix sound roughly , but also use the guitar for Classic Rock; Kiss, Ozzie, Zeppelin etc, so I need a 4 wire Bridge pup that can do a good job of that. Ideas appreciated.
Seymour Duncan .. I Finally Got Me Some Slash Seymour Duncan Pickups For My Epiphone Les Paul Man I Love It y'all Are Alsome To Me Y'all Are The Best. 👍🤘On . Lol Troy Frost/ Troyster 🎸🤘
Guys, any recomendations for a baswood tele pickups, I love the sound of the vintage broadcaster and the hot for tele set, but I don't know wich will fit better, tonewood wise.
I can’t find these blues ssl-1 California 50 set single coils. Is it just the California 50 set????? Looking on SD sight for price but I’m in Australia.
Dan Adrian reply thanks would not mind a set, on one of my strats with a nice bone nut on rosewood fret board. Through one of my Nice Fender tube amps with a couple pedals. Really nice tone.
Superb playing, but as others have requested, if we could hear them as unaffected by outside effects as possible, it helps us from a demo standpoint. And/or list the effects, amp setting or if you’re going straight in etc. thanks, and again, beautiful playing :)
People shopping pickups don't need any stupid demo of three sets for strat, telle, and humbuckers, unless they are thinking of buying pickups for 3 different guitars---fat chance; they would like comparisons between three different sounding pickups for the same type of guitar. And cut back on the backing track so that the pickups can be heard.
How about another one showcasing just the clean sound/dry Without the reverb or pedals. It would be much appreciated And useful to those of ue who really want to hear the core sound of these pickups. Thanks!
Very poorly done as far as information goes. The playing was good and well recorded but I was expecting information on why these pickups were good for blues what types of magnets, output and other useful information to help me decide. I do like your products and have them in my guitars but this video was a disappointment.
That Tele sounded amazing!
I want to like this a thousand times.
Ur playing is awesome. Seymour Duncan makes only great things. Incredible tone and cristal clear quality.
This is the blues that makes me cry.
Good playing I felt it with every vibrato, beautiful song, good pickups
i liked the tele. Great playing, Kevin!
I usually push down my, what are they called, oh yeah feelings? But this made me tear up. I haven't been this emotional since I left the womb. Very beautiful.
Brilliant demonstration! All three sets sound awesome!
The Tele sounded GOOD !!!
Really like the Strat pups !!!
That first demo with the strat... What a great player. Really felt it.
What song was that
Great playing man, seriously
Loved the strat tones
'59/Bridge and Jazz/neck always worked well for me.
the sweetest sound
Great playing on this -- this is real blues guitar
That's a great demo, must say I liked that warm vintage tone in all three guitars!
Perfect tone for blues! Love it!
I've got Seymour Duncan humbucker's in my ltd m-400 2017, not sure of the actual spec's but love them, S.D. would have to be one of the best makes of pickups around for sure.
Fantastic playing!! Very well done!!
They all sound amazing!! I am seriously looking at replacing the stock pick ups in my 2017 PRS SE Custom 24 with the 59 Humbuckers!! They sound awesome!! Great video, thanks!!
Dumb idea
I've always loved humbuckers but holy crap the SSS set sounds insane
Awesome job, Kevin!

Damn these pickups sound perfect.
Buddy, I think I’ve made a purchase decision.
great playing great video - would have loved if you had either - your pedals turned off or identified which ones were on and at what setting(s). hard to know the diff from the pedals and the pickups.
I've got 2x SH2's on a Thinline and they are AWESOME ! ! ! \m/
The Cal 's sound incredible on the Strat. I wonder how the Antiquity II's sound for the blues
This is a great series.
The California 50's are in my wish list at Sweetwater!
The tele, my goodness
Great video thanks for the Tune-up
Play more of that California 50s set jam. Please.

Please play without pedals!!! I just wanna hear the pickups and amp.

Man those pickups sound just right ;)
Seymour Duncan .. I Finally Got Me Some Slash Seymour Duncan Pickups For My Epiphone Les Paul Man I Love It y'all Are Alsome To Me Y'all Are The Best. 👍🤘On . Lol Troy Frost/ Troyster 🎸🤘
All three sound rich.
I think your double coil to fit in a single coil slot are far superior and sound better!!!!!
My choice: The Vintage Blues Set (humbuckers) in the strat...all day!
'59 neck sounds awesome in split mode, try.
Really helpful
The Califirnia pups was better in my ears eventhough I m not a tele guitarist
Okay play more of all of them.
More detail regarding the pickup magnets and out put would have been helpful.
I love DaBlues
Where is the 59' and the Pealy Gates. They ar for blues/ rock too
Have Seymour and Larry DiMarzio ever been photographed together?
Tele ate the strat for lunch. I love my Tele.
Sweet 🤘
Guys, any recomendations for a baswood tele pickups, I love the sound of the vintage broadcaster and the hot for tele set, but I don't know wich will fit better, tonewood wise.
So was the pickup booster on? Looks like led was on? Kinda misleading if so
Can I play Blues with Sentient pickup neck?
what is the difference between SSl1 and SSl2...do they sound different
I can’t find these blues ssl-1 California 50 set single coils. Is it just the California 50 set????? Looking on SD sight for price but I’m in Australia.
Matt S yes it is just the California 50 set. The individual pickups are called SSL-1.
Dan Adrian reply thanks would not mind a set, on one of my strats with a nice bone nut on rosewood fret board. Through one of my Nice Fender tube amps with a couple pedals. Really nice tone.

Why isnt the Broadcaster neck RW?
Superb playing, but as others have requested, if we could hear them as unaffected by outside effects as possible, it helps us from a demo standpoint. And/or list the effects, amp setting or if you’re going straight in etc. thanks, and again, beautiful playing :)
what amp r u playing through?

Reverb overload!
Somehow, a strat, a tele, and a LP sounded almost the same....
ditto, cut the reverb pls
That tele owned this by far, the strat was second, and sadly it didn't sound as good in the LP....
To bad you couldn’t play in clean tones to illustrate ..
To much reverb. Love your pickups but couldn’t get a feel for true sound.
Yes can I gets a lil' 'mo reverb please!
I didn't struggle enjoying these amazing blues licks.
They are trying to sell pickups not the reverb pedal.
Right. In fact I'd have preferred no pedals at all, plugged straight into a tube amp.
If you guys don’t play raw guitar to amp, there’s not much to hear in a showcase y’all 🤦♂️ God bless though!
Много ревера:((
Reverb much? (:
More of a Pop sound. Not delta blues.
Get doug rapps to play demos. You will sell more pickups ..lol
Kevin, please don't come at me. Please. And careful with that reverb. It makes it difficult to hear how great that Broadcaster bridge pu really is.
backing is loud, it over shadows the guitar tone

I hate the blues.
cause your a dick'''
What’s the purpose of even commenting then? Even the title says it’s blues. So you came here anyway? SMH
So why are u looking and listening...😂😂
