    Obsidian 1.5 is now available for insiders - and will soon be for the general public. Here are some highlights in this release that I believe you will like - especially the table editor!

      Thank you - I really appreciate that. I like what you are doing with Obsidian, too. I am hoping to make some helpful videos about it, soon.

    Great tutorial. Is it possible to create callouts side by side in columns or another way.

    • @leanproductivity
      @leanproductivity  7 місяців тому

      yes. this code:
      > [!multi-column]
      >
      > > [!idea] callout1
      > > text1
      >
      > > [!note] callout2
      > > text2
      >
      > > [!check] callout3
      > > text3
      will give you 3 columns (assuming your page width allows it): bit.ly/3GZSMqA

    Useful video thx.
    Is there a way to remove a property globally in a vault instead of doing it on a file by file basis?

    • @leanproductivity
      @leanproductivity  8 місяців тому +2

      Not that I know of. There are multiple threads on the official forum asking for such a feature. As far as I know, you can only rename properties inside Obsidian for now, not delete them.
      A workaround could be to use an editor like VSCode and search/replace the property. However, this will probably mess up the file modification date. Also, make a backup of your notes before trying that. It can get really messy really quickly.

      Will give that a try in the meantime, thx.

      You could also use the DB Folder plugin. Any fields you create with it, will be applied to all notes matching your DB settings. This can be a hashtag, a path, or any dataview query. In the plugin settings you can also enable that removing a column (i.e., a property) will remove said property from all affected notes. Beware that this cannot be undone! are you getting underlines under headings with CSS or theme?

    • @leanproductivity
      @leanproductivity  8 місяців тому +2

      I did it via the theme settings. If your theme does not support it natively, you can try the "Style Settings" plugin.
      Alternatively, it can be done with a CSS snippet.

    Can we update file obsidian from api? Very nice video thanks..

      Currently, you need to be an Obsidian Catalyst (i.e., an insider) to get this version. Once it is generally available, you can just update via the Obsidian app ("Settings", "About", "Check for Updates") if it does not update automatically.
      To become a Catalyst, see their web site: obsidian.md/pricing

      I have not seen properties. But linking to and from Canvas works, doesn't it?

    Can one import tables?

    • @leanproductivity
      @leanproductivity  8 місяців тому

      Any markdown table can be copied and pasted into a note. I just tested it with Excel tables. They also work - of course, the values get pasted, not the formulas.
      But I think this was the same before and does not depend on the Advanced Table Editor functionality.
