Hi Alison, I received my first box and love it. I got some pink extras from misfits fabric. She has all the vivid colours. They came today and the colour is a perfect match and seem fantastic quality
Hi Alison. Loving all your vlogs. Country Cow designs sells in the Uk and might have the hardware. They also have some cute bag patterns. It is a small business as well which is great.
@ your welcome. I have some of their patterns and follow their UA-cam channel as well. They just recently opened up a shop. I would love to check them out in person but I live in Vancouver 🇨🇦
Isn't it great that you are able change something after you've made it. I had planned on making my 2 great nieces leggings in September for school but was quite busy with my alterations business. Last week I decided to finally make them. I'm so happy I took new measurements, both girls needed extra length in the inseam. So this week I sewed up 8 pairs of leggings and 2 tshirt dresses. Yesterday I told one of the girls I was making them red Valentine dresses. She said thanks but she really wants a purple dress, her favourite colour. As I'm trying to use mostly fabric from my stash, I didn't think she would be getting a purple dress. But when I was pulling out some fabric to make myself a Toaster Sweater I found a purple striped knit fabric, just enough for her dress. And in another cupboard I found a large remnant of the same fabric in pink to make her sister a dress. They will both be so surprised. Today after cutting out those dresses I will be cutting out a puffer jacket for myself. It's so nice to stay inside on cold snowy days and sew. I hope you are able to find the pink door rings and sliders. I only shop on Amazon when I can't find what I need at my local fabric stores. So yesterday I did an order for continuous zipper tape and pulls and a large roll of waistband elastic. Happy sewing. Oh, your cardigan looks great!
Hi Alison - Love your Marlot. I made the Marlot Sweater in a thick woolly bobbly fabric from Felicity Fabrics. I'll be honest, I was really worried about sewing with the fabric as it is quite chunky. I ended up sewing it on my machine with a walking foot, as it was a bit much for my overlocker. Anyway, I made the longer length and it is quite oversized, although I probably need to re-cut my pattern again as I have reduced in size a bit.
Sew Hot do the tula pink sliders Alison. I was up at 6 this morning oressing the seams and preppjng the sleeves of the dress. Hoping to have it finished asap so i can crack on with an amelia jacket and a bag 😊
The bag makers box is great isn’t it! Would love to know if you find the d rings and sliders too! That size looks perfect for the harleson bag from noodlehead or something similar!
I found this Emma x www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1583284172/fuchsia-pink-strap-kit-set-25mm1-bag?gpla=1&gao=1&&Cj0KCQiAwOe8BhCCARIsAGKeD55iZLq471SfF8Ng82kejMp3eROrwdXx1WA0ZjiD-kLNpe6hjnn3PkgaAm6VEALw_wcB_k_&:pla-314261243987_m__1583284172engb_102858184&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADutTMdf9P4vi8RwaFkJp_5qnD4B5&gclid=Cj0KCQiAwOe8BhCCARIsAGKeD55iZLq471SfF8Ng82kejMp3eROrwdXx1WA0ZjiD-kLNpe6hjnn3PkgaAm6VEALw_wcB
I'm not a fan of puff sleeves either. If I find them on a pattern, I generally change them to a straight set-in sleeve. I do however like a little ruffle at the wrist! I am still in sewing comfies mode. I made a sweatshirt for my husband, and then yesterday cut one out for me. I am using a new (to me) pattern, the Apollon by I Am Patterns. I like that it has set-in sleeves and a slightly wider neckline, so I am hoping that this will become my new go-to sweatshirt pattern!
Hi Alison I know it’s not sewing related please could you tell me we’re you bought your heatless curler from I have a satin one but it doesn’t grip my hair very well thank you Maureen X

Love your drew dress. really lovely fabric. However, you are right, the shoulders are better in the busy fabric.

Wow it’s a good job you checked the measurements they grow so fast - those dresses are going to be gorgeous 💕
Alison, the triangles take the place of d-rings! So you don’t need those 😉 I’m not sure where to find a slider in that colour though 🤷🏻♀️
Thanks for the tip! I think I’ve found some 😊

Hi Alison, the triangular shaped piece is equivalent to a 'D' ring, also, the zipper teeth are actually nylon. That may reduce your stress. 😊 🇦🇺 🪃
Thanks Jess I only need to find the sliders now 😍
Love your Drew Alison. Have you tried Sew Hot for bag hardware or trimming shop? LibbyX
I hadnt heard of the until Sed Virtual last night Libby
If you want your sleeves less puffy try pleating the top instead of gathering 🙂
Great idea 💕

Thank you Alison very much appreciated 😊X
Oops. Sorry not sorry 😂
😂😂😂
I like the sweater dress, but I do like oversized clothes. The fitted look is just not my thing anymore.
Me to not sure why this one was just too oversized
Nailed the fit Alison , love the sleeves 👌❤️
