Hi Alison, it is great to see someone so excited about their sewing and learning experiences that it transfers to others. I have been having a huge cull and organising of patterns and fabrics for the last few weeks and am itching to get back to my machines. My interests range over a few crafts, and at times, I am ashamed of the amount of 'stuff' I have. I do a lot for charity, but sometimes I just want to dabble and learn more about the machines I have. Thank goodness we have people such as yourself, to rekindle our first love of creativity. 😂❤ 💐🌸 🇦🇺 🪃

Brilliant video Alison! Cut the pieces to be gathered longer, then trim down genius! I’ve always shied away from gathering on an overlocker as I expected that the pieces would never match up. Will definitely have a go now. I have tried a rolled hem which was fab but the join wasn’t great so I would love a tutorial on that.Thanks so much, I always look forward to your videos x

Eeeeee d'ya know, when you talked about making a Mave skirt in denim I couldn't visualise it. I thought even a lightweight denim would be too heavy, but I think it looks gorgeous 😍 and I might have to make myself one!

Pink really does suit you. I certainly couldn't wear it (I don't think). I made a dress for a special do, and not being much of a dress wearer I chopped off the bottom and made a top. I'd just bought my coverstitch machine and it made it a very neat hem.

I love the sweatshirt - the pink looks lovely on you. I have had the Maeve pattern for about 2 years but have never made it- not a skirt lover as I don't have much of a waist - but the fit is very flattering with the draping and I might give it a try having seen your make. Happy sewing and thanks for the help on Sunday - am going to do a Burrito method as the FM technique was just too fiddly. We live and learn 😎❤

I'm looking forward to seeing the skirt and dress in the chambray. I now want a shirt dress made in chambray, so when I get through the rest of my stash (13) I will start with that. I'm still finishing my Jessa trousers by Tilly and the buttons in a black whale corduroy, but have had a nightmare with them. Then I'm going to make a basic t shirt by butterick to try for a quicker win.

Hi Alison, I have made two le hoodies, in the animal print in green and blue, its a lovely pattern, by size it shouldn't have fit me either but I sized down from the large size , plenty of room in it xx

I will be checking out the gathering with the coverlock quite soon, it sounds intriguing. I plan on making denim Bestie Bags for myself and my 2 daughters. It just looks like a fun project. I love the the look of pink top stithing on denim. I was also thinking of making a skirt similar to the one you want to make. I think it would be perfect for the summer.
