Mr T came into talk to Christian O'Connell on the Absolute Radio breakfast show and of course he talked about the best show from the 1980s - the A Team
There are VERY few celebrities that I would care to meet in real life, but Mr. T is certainly one of them. He really seems like a kind and decent man. I have nothing but admiration and respect for him. God bless you Mr. T!
He’s the best celebrity ive ever met…. And ive met all of my heroes….. we were all in line to meet him and the event organizer had to cut off the line because it was too long…. And i was about to get forced to go home…. And mr t shouted, “DON’T WORRY BECAUSE EVERYBODY’S GONNA GET THEIR FAIR SHARE OF TIME WITH T!” And he stayed late to meet us all. He spent 5 minutes with most all of us.
They're al getting a bit old now And George Peppard has long departed. Any other cast - however likeable they are - just wouldn't work (see; the a-team movie)
Let me tell ya, when Boy George started singing and those cowboys started tapping their feet, our entire living room of people laughed as hard as we have ever laughed! Greatest tv moment ever haha.
Thank you T for all the work you have done with the kids over the years. I believe you probably made more of a difference than you will ever know. You are blessed, and are a blessing to all you have touched directly, and indirectly.
What a fantastic fella Mr T his. He always goe's on about his mother and whoever she was she did a fantastic job on brining him up. Hes polite curtuios respectful dignified warm caring religious and on top of all that he tries to be a decent person. Ive just bought the A Team box set from amazon and i carnt watch it for laughing its so funny every episode i aint getting on no plain hanibal nxt thing you now how the hell did i get here what happend next episode I aint getting on no plane hanibal how the hell did i get here next epsiode lmao ha ha lol. And his relashionship with murdoch ha ha this guys nuts but secretly theyr the best of friends its like a love hate relashionship yeh i love mr t just awesome......
It was explained in an episode why B.A. doesn't fly. Murdoch philosophises that B.A. needs to be in control of his enviroment, and in a plane, things are unpredictable, and then Murdoch says that it is why B.A likes driving the A-Team van, because it is him controlling it.
@@deadponic117 It was one where B.A. and Murdoch are arrested on sent to a prison farm, but escape and are on the run, while the military find out and come after them, and Hannibal tries to find them first to rescue them from the military.
Mr: T thank you for join the A TEAM I still have fun watching you guys wk days on TELEX TV congratulation for a such fine show thank you: B A / MARIO. MR: Mario have a wonderful life and god bless you
I watched rocky 3 as a little kid and made me obsessed with boxing. I boxed in the military then after and at 46 still train and coach kids. None of this would have happened without hating clubber lang.
This was indeed an excellent interview. If you're interested in another entertaining feature of Mr. T, look up "The Celebrity Roast Of Mr. T." VERY funny!
Ya I thought T was scarier than Ivan Drago in Rocky 4. He just had that explosively unpredictable feel about him. It’s crazy he’s actually such a nice and peaceful guy
He was a big enough star in the 80s, believe me. Mr. T was regarded up there with the likes of Stallone and Arnie as one of the best tough guy actors in the business. He wasn't a great actor, but he was good and he played his parts well.
@@abundantYOUniverse I'm from Australia and believe me, when I was a kid in school we were all big A-Team fans and big Mr T fans. Like I said, he wasn't a great actor, but in reality he didn't need to be. Tough guys aren't going to win Academy Awards, but most will be as big a star as those who do.
when I wore silver, I was pitied by Mr. T, he pities the fool who wears silver, that's why 20 years ago, I started wearing gold. I wised up, gold was cheap in the late 90's.
One thing I still remember was from the pilot. Only time he was given a chance to really speak to a crowd. Life means nothing if you can't walk with your head up high.
Why was BA afraid to fly??? A mental patient was piloting the plane, that would do it for me. That would make my tummy a little nervous. A few pre flight jitters. It's never good when you're sitting in a plane, 3000 ft up and the pilot saunters past you with his hands in his pockets.
David Romanoski That's what I've been saying for ages now! A film or special tv episodes with the guys reprising their roles as Murdock, Face & Mr T. Obv they're older & couldn't do all the fight scenes anymore, but maybe they could have a story where they're contacted to help set up a similar team. With talk about the old days & flashbacks from the original series. Including Hannibal in the discussions, he'd have to be a part of it in some way. Seeing them all come together as The A-Team again would just be unbelievable. Could you imagine Dwight Shultz bringing back Murdock?!!! With a decent story & script it would go down a storm! It's time! BRING BACK THE A TEAM!!!
@@kellieprice2095 they could have done something like that with the film, that came out. One of their sons been one of the new A team, which would link the remaining 3 to help them out. But instead all we got was a few mins of two in the film. I never even noticed at all. their parts were that small. I think that's why MR T never took the offer up. But again was he finished with the franchise back in the 80s? I never ever saw him do any chats with Dirk Benedict & Dwight Schultz at all.
@@vitoguttilla2926 That movie was just a modern version of the A Team, the original story altered for the iraq war. I think it was just written just to say the A team got a movie and that was it. If the original had ended on series 4 when it was on a high, They could have done a film with the original 4 cast, a couple of years later.
"As a kid you were terrifying in that role because obviously you took out Apollo Creed". Ummm... No he didn't. That was Dolph Lundgren's character Ivan Drago. Nevertheless Mr. T was great in that role. IMO one of the most menacing foes in cinematic history.

exactly, the A Team was the greatest tv show ever

That interview was gold - great stuff
I've said it before and I'll say it again. We need mister t back on the streets to influence today's youth.
💯...he should be brought into schools to teach the youth about 'having a plan'.
The 80s, nothing like it, A team, Taxi, Cheers, Miami Vice, list was endless
Airwolf, Knightrider, dukes of hazard
Golden Girls ✨✨✨✨

The dynamics between Mr T and Murdoch is what made the A-team actually.
The "I don't fly" aspect of the BA character made BA more interesting and 3 dimensional. And was was a great comedic set up.
