01:14 of course - while in service at the border control checking trunks with suspicious boxes - because WHERE did you get all that knowledge of all that good stuff, hm?
No worries, Lars. I'm sure most of us appreciate a small change of pace. Good to see you and your faithful co-host are doing well as ever, in these wild times.
Out of all the uniforms changes, the beret and camo make you look quite dashing! And the ninja, as always, adorable! That little face at 5:01! And what great stuff!!!!!!
Just felt compelled to offer, there are many bushcraft/survival channels. But yours is both unique and special, because of your inclusion of your adorable Pink Ninja. Aloha from Hawaii, Pink Ninja, you have Hawaiian fans!
Living in America where society and culture have taken a nose dive off the edge of an abyss, it is very nice to see the generosity of humanity that these unboxing vids represent. Perhaps all is not yet lost.
Love the unboxing videos Lars ! Wind deading was working well.. Glad to see stuff for the ever growing daughter, also ! Didn't take her long to figure out the plastic hot stuff
Pink Ninja is wearing a pink hat and scarf and looking cute as usual, blowing kisses the the camera. Love that someone sent her gifts. "Keep out of reach of children," and hands it to the Pink Ninja, LOL. That was a great unboxing. Lots of good stuff.
When I get to complaining about the cold this winter, I'll just watch you swimming in the snow. We have a New Year tradition where people get sponsors for charities and then cut a hole in the frozen lake and jump in. It seems silly after seeing you exit the hot room and dive into the snow.
Lars this was great! Very interesting costume changes! Very entertaining! That little brass tube with the cotton rope is a tinder tube. Light one end on fire, then pull it into the tube and snuff it out. Now push the chared end back out and you have a char cloth like thing to catch a spark with flint and steel. Works great!
Like the Pink Ninja, what a little cutie. Does she accompany you on your wilderness sojourns? Good experience for children where you are, American children don't get such an education. Good to see your "package" arrived and intact. When I sent packages to Russia (Perm) in the 90s very few made it to their destination. Tough times and I can't really blame the Russian people for surviving.
"Kirkland" is a brand used by Costco (a very large discount warehouse style store chain in USA). The actual manufacturers are third parties who contract with Costco to provide the manufactured goods. There are Kirkland everything (clothes, food, automobile equipment, sunglasses, etc.). It's generally decent quality food/goods, it's just hard to determine who actually made the stuff.
That is some nice stuff you received and it will be useful when the snow falls and it is freezing. You should be ready to Winter after you get the instructions on the stove.
I always like the unboxing videos. Especially this one with the "Keep out of reach of children". I laughed more at that one comment than I have laughed all day. Thank you Lars.
G'day Lars, Ah, that's easy. It was the uniform that suited you best; you looked most comfortable in and the one with the perfectly formed and worn green beret! You might not be a young soldier any more but you still look good in your uniform. That John from the US is a really generous bloke! I'm lucky enough to have some American mates like that. Sometimes something truly awesome turns up and it's an unexpected gift. It's really wonderful to have mates like that. Of course I want to send you some Aussie gear, Lars, but it won't be as flash as John's gear. They make great stuff in the US. I buy a lot of stuff from America even though the poor Aussie dollar makes it very expensive for me. Still, it all goes around. It's good to receive and great to give! Cheers, Lars, I hope Mrs S.R. is better and back with you soon. BH
Dear Mr. "Survival Russia", after having seen a lot of his videos and having enjoyed his sympathy and competence, I joined his page both to ask for advice, and to get to know her better as far as possible; in the video I was watching she wears the various military uniforms and this has increased my curiosity. I hope not to be too invasive as I wish you a good continuation accompanied by my cordial greetings.
A lot of great things in that box! I use DMT diamond stones, they are awesome! Also use the Zippo hand warmers, again good gear. And I use the over sized ferro rod I find it much easier to grip with cold hands. Very interested in the dolphin set.
Yup. With all the stainless steel, and how the modular john fire-can is used, those silicone mitts, and the 4 hidden silicone baking cups, allow you safe hand and hot metal cooking.
Wow, John thank you for your kind generosity. You are a mind reader. So Lars, John has started your Gaz 71 Vehicle kit box, with the stove, cookset, cordage, wool socks (emergency mittens, ), etc. The 'lunch box' bottom section looks like it could be a cook pot also. The blue rubber thingies look like mini heat mittens. John has also made a good start on the Pink Ninja's back pack kit. Now that black para cord could be an indoor rappel kit for the Pink Ninja before Mum returns. Greeting to John and all our world-wide team, from Greg in Thailand
Yes, the 2 bento boxes could also be used for a cooking and eating tray, and the small ovoid container can be used (like the Korean steamed rice bowls/lids for making charcloth, holding dry fire tinder etc, ... as well as putting all the extra gear of the fire can into the bento, and then filling the fire can with large sterno fuel cans, the large walmart biofuel cans (my choice), or food packets.
Keep watching. Pink and Little Blue Ninja have a very special package, that even Daddy Lars is (already) drooling over. Pink will have everything to be her own little commando ....
Great job John, my 7 seven year old Thai daughter watches reruns of the Pink Ninja with me. She understands English and is amazed by snow (I put her head in our freezer so she could understand cold). Your kindness and Lars' good father skills greatly helps me in my efforts to empower my young daughter. So, I also benefit from your kindness, kind regards, Greg
The "Bento Lunch Boxes" are very Popular in Asia. But because they're Stainless, they make Great Storage Containers for all kinds of Stuff. And the Ferro Rod is the same size I use. I just put Orange Gorilla Tape on mine for Visability Purposes. Though it looks like John put a Survival "Grenade" on his. Hard to tell. Anyway, it's all Good Kit. Thanks again for the Video and Take Care.
The uniform changes cracked me up, you're a funny guy! That's an awesome package you got.The stove looks to be of sturdy make. Don't worry about the unboxings, I think it's very interesting to see what people send you. The wind noise was also fine, a non-interruptive level. :) Hoping you and yours have a great weekend Lars!
I mentioned to Shashkin that he needs to come over and do a cross-over video, and help you test out all those items, in the hunting stand, birch shelter, etc. .... DDDD
"Keep out of reach of children, here", priceless and awesome!! I just hope the Pink Ninja can keep it out of your hands ;>) Nice haul from a good guy for sure! The costume changes were great too!!! Thank You for sharing, see you in the net one.
Congrats on reaching 100K. Between your teaching and the stuff subscribers are sending to the Pink Ninja, she is going to be a top Ninja Survivalist in the future. Great unboxing, better than Christmas.
I laughed every time you came in a different uniform, very clever my friend. I really lost it when "keep out of reach of children " and hand it to pink ninja😂😂love it. Great video!
Here in SanFran they are constantly bought out, and only brought out in winter time. Saw them again, and said "oh no !!! ... grabbing 4 sets M and L for myself, ... then got the M and L sets (each!) for Lars, Mrs SR, Pink, and little Blue. So each has a 4 set of M and L socks to keep them warm in the house, outside in boots, at school, at work, etc etc. DDDDD
I've been wondering if you speak Danish to the ninjas - got that confirmed. Having a ball sitting here in Denmark hearing about your life in Siberia. Best of luck and keep up the good work!
The fire-can can be used in its own right with the open top. If you have the indented stainless thermos or water bottles, you can slide it into the fire-can and boil/warm up your water, soup, stew etc, and pull out - no fall over or spillage. The grating/windshield/spark protector fits onto the fire can, and you can then cook with all the smaller bowls and gear. The design of the grating allows the smaller sproing skewers to be put down into the grating and fire can, holding the sides of the container sideways for a baking oven. So many uses for the fire-can and container. Making baked goods inside the container, making char cloth, steam food stuck on the skewers, boil water, big soup/stew meals in the container, or in the smaller dishes, cups, and bowls. You cut out the bottom side (between the various punched out holes) for a portal in putting in sticks etc, or snuffing out an alcohol stove, esbit cubes, sterno, walmart biofuel cans, coal, charcoal, hibachi style wood fire, etc etc.
Great Vid! Might have to get one of those SS lunch boxes. Nice! Maybe the Pink Ninja can use that tarp to complete her shelter? Hope Mrs SR's arm is doing better?
Best TIffin bentos (and price for largest size) that I could find. Clip clasp and locking snap. www.amazon.com/Stainless-Ecofriendly-Lunchbox-Leak-Proof-Compartment/dp/B07FK58W3Q/ref=sr_1_33?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1538764639&sr=1-33&keywords=stainless+steel+lunch+box Do not buy the roller clasp and the spot welded latches (they detach).
hello lars,, and the pink ninja,, nice unboxing great products,, have fun on your trips into the woods, I am on the east coast of America, winter is coming,, getting prepared,, good day .................
The blue silicon “things” are potgrips to protect your hands from burning (only works upto some degree, so be carefull). The soft material of the little boxes (red) with wire and hooks in them, is also silicon.
You should make a bracelet or something with that high vis paracord for your daughter, for when she goes trick or treating on Halloween, people driving g will see that paracord easily
Brilliant as allways Lars! Im trying to drink coffee and..BoOm.. Uniform change.. I only looked away for a moment... then AGAIN!.. lmao!.. Phew.. The coffee was fine :) Great unboxing cobber. And i have no clue as to your relevant service uniform..Sorry :( . Great to see the Pink Ninja helping out. Great off-sider in the making. Cheers for sharing.. I need another coffee. lol.
Lars what a great unboxing once again. Some nice stuff there and never enough paracord it seems in our kits and packs. 2c today in our area but snow flurries all around us, and we had very destructive winds two nights ago that knocked power out for many folks and is slowly being restored. Hope you and Mrs SR and the Pink Ninja have a great weekend Lars. Cheers from Thunder Bay....Fred
Wood shims for doing the chainsaw stump sharpening method. Cut notch in stump. Place chainsaw blade into slot. Shim blade tight into stump, allowing chain to freely move. Sharpen chainsaw teeth - EASY !!! Use the wood shims for shimming out the birch bark vs using the knife. Easy to double hand shim the bark, and save the knife blade (dulling) and fingers (wood splinters) and shim (chisel) the bark from the trunk. Quick, easy, safe. The Avon Skin So Soft (piricidin bug repellent ingredient) - the reason why many boxes were so late - THANK YOU SO MUCH AVON FOR SHIPPING UPS and losing the first package and shipping AGAIN UPS 3 weeks later !!!!! .... And yes the pump sprayers for the bottles. Best stainless bento lunch boxes made ... for Lars' and Pink's rucks. Carry food, or use as a weather proof carrying cordage, goods, tiny gear, fire tinder, etc etc. Always modular and useful. Those diamond sharpeners will sharpen so fast, that any axe, maul, hatchet, machete, and those found rusting axe heads will all take an edge jiffy quick. Use with precaution on any knife blade, as it will leave them with a micro-serrated blade surface and edging. Use water and oil stones afterwards with higher grit ratings for final smoothing and mirror finishing the blade and edge. The john fire-can holds the fire-can with the cooking grate and windshield/spark protector. But, also the eating gear for 2 people. Can be modular designed for 1 or 2 people, but any number of eating gear items needed/not needed. 2 silicone drinking cups, 2 silicone mitts, 4 silicone baking cups, 2 metal drinking cups/high soup/stew bowls, 2 metal eating bowl-plates, 2 metal korean steamed rice bowls with lids, 2 eating utensils sets, 1 British Wick copper tubing (spark the oiled wick and have flame/light for further lighting tinder etc), 1 donkey dick ferro rod with attached duct tape (fire tinder if needed, but also duct tape for needed repairs - and it WONT GET LOST JOE ROBINET with that orange paracord lash !), 2 sets of long and short metal skewers for cooking steaks, fish, mini shish kebobs, sausage, ... (unseen item is 2 john-lynch pins to latch the skewer inside a wooden pole for making long pole BBQ skewers or frog/fish gigging poles). Inside the first drinking cup are the wound up smaller designed john-cooking cable trammel, and an S-hooked carrying cable for carrying/hanging the fire-can with holes in the fire-can and the cooking grate/windshield/spark protector for anti-bug or night light, tent/shelter hanging light or safe floor heater, apache fire carrier, put under hammock for undernight heater, etc. Use the 2 smaller skewers through the grating (sproings above the grating creating side walls), and put the outer container sideways onto the fire-can grating platform for a baking oven (no more tossing cooking pots into a campfire - Mister Canterbury !) Weight
I never knew that I needed shims till I was given some. A store clerk was confused when I wondered if my new toothbrush could stand up to carburetor cleaner. For later use when it isn't a good brush for teeth! Another is fingernail sanding sticks, usefull. Bla, bla, bla! Thanks!
changing the uniform all the time without even talking about it is hilarious! Love it! First unboxing video I've ever unintentionally seen and actually enjoyed!
What a cracking gift package. Nice one and you don't need me to comment on the Uniform, i've worked with your boys and know it well. lol, you should know, we both have the same coloured beret. ATB from Africa. Moose
One of the reasons, besides the previous essential oils (bug repellents) to send to Siberia and see how they work there. Piricidin, not toxic DEET, Avon Skin So Soft, great repellent. Same for the ninja wipes sent for the little ones.
Tarp with the lime green paracord and a lunch box video must be done by "The Pink Ninja" and you "Chameleon Man" should direct the show (help) from the background.
Can You Guess Which Uniform Represents My Real Life Service Branch? :)
Survival Russia love the uniforms. Danish green baret?
4evr InStone yes
The green beret remind me of the time you were wearing it with us army style sunglasses and your walrus stach' lol.
The Danish tropentarn with the green beret, is my guess or the grey dress uniform
01:14 of course - while in service at the border control checking trunks with suspicious boxes - because WHERE did you get all that knowledge of all that good stuff, hm?
2:15 "- Keep out of the reach of children -... Here!". That was awesome. Great costume dept, by the way. Production value! Cheers!
That was funny!!!
😂😂😂. My thoughts exactly.... ROTFLMAO.
Yep .... Perfect comic timing ..... Got it done!
lmao
Going native :)
Keep away from children. HERE! :DDDDDDDD I love it. I wish every parent was like this these days.

The pink ninja seems to be growing up quite well adjusted. Just the right amount of little menace. You must be a good dad.
I love unboxings. You know you're old when you get the most excited about the socks! Those are some nice socks!
My first gift I give to anybody anymore are these Costco wool socks. They are worth gold.
Bug repellent :"Keep Out Of Reach Of Children." Lars: "Instantly hands over bottle to child!"..... Awesome!
The Pink Ninja is just too cute! And so well mannered!
Living in America where society and culture have taken a nose dive off the edge of an abyss, it is very nice to see the generosity of humanity that these unboxing vids represent. Perhaps all is not yet lost.

those blue silicone pot holders really do work to keep from burning your hands when handling hot pots or pans. PLUS they are great hand puppets...
Great unboxing Lars.. When you started to appear in different outfits I was waiting for the Hawaiian shirt short's and flip flops. Woulda been a HOOT!
He doesn't wear Hawaiian shirts until he swims in the snow.
Calvin is right :) Thank you!

Nice cooker ,instruction saves lives, nice Sox, strip gear down to suit your use .
Thank you buddy :)
My compliments on how well the Pink Ninja behaved
Well Done young lady.

@Jeff somersby Unfortunately English is not my favorite language, I’m sorry.
Very cool video full of awesomeness! I do enjoy the unboxing videos and the wind was not bad at all. Thanks!
All unboxing videos should come with serial wardrobe changes!
Pink Ninja is adorable, doing her thing in the background...3:22

The outfit changes were a nice touch
I would guess the blue silicone are hot mits, really fantastic gifts.
Yup. With all the stainless steel, and how the modular john fire-can is used, those silicone mitts, and the 4 hidden silicone baking cups, allow you safe hand and hot metal cooking.
They actually are. I went and read the email from John again :)
Yep. Silicone is great, cools fairly quickly when not in direct heat, too.
The pink ninja knew what they were as soon as she saw them.
Yep. She is The Pink Ninja, after all!
Great kid!
The blue things are for grabbing hot pots and pans. I have a pair, they are awesome ! :-)

the shims look like they'd be good for kindling, fire starting
I like the German Flectarn camo! I wear it while deer and bear hunting. It blends well with the Manzanita bush that grows where I hunt. 👍🏻. 🇺🇸😎
Lars, Your daughter steals the show. She is so funny I didn't see half the stuff you opened.
That rubber soft cook cup. Pop it open like an accordian

great box of goodies !!!!!I bet the "pink ninja" will love playing under her own tarp
that stove kit looks awesome Lars!! Hope there will be a video with it.
Yup. I waiting for Lars to octopus it, and do all kinds of fire methods and cooking styles with it. It truly is a versatile design.

Love all your videos! Bushcraft or unboxing. Keep them coming!

I enjoy watching the unboxings
Love the video - as always. The Pink Ninja looks thoroughly dismissive ...
I like seeing you get new stuff to try out.

that avon bug repellent is the best.
"Leafy Suit" man ... DDDD
