I talk about this in Hal’s recent OPL scrims video. They get eliminated at #11 after wiping 3 teams in the same fight and all three start talking about how all the teams shooting at them weren’t even trying to look at the other teams next to them. The whole lobby just collectively had a truce until DZ was eliminated.
It’s the downfall of all great aggressive teams. Unfortunately they won’t but they definitely should consider circumstances before apeing. I’ve seen them ape a team while 2 teams at different angles are shooting them. Then they die and I’m like why did yall do that….i dunno.

Hal is so right about having good team mates and being aggressive. It makes the game so much more fun too. I mostly play solo pubs but for me most of the time having one really good team mates helps a lot but having two for me usually means I can IGL and be less aggressive or be a fragger instead of trying to be both. I know they are playing against the best players in the world but having team mates that good must be so fun.
When SoloQ you get mediocre teammates most of the time but every now and then you get teammates with which you just kill the servers with and win the game effortlessly. Whenever it happens it is always a blast.

TSM had this, the problem was Ravens' stragety. If TSM would have went Evan on aggressive legend, then they could have run down lobbies. Reps is a beast, and so is Evan. If they would have went with an aggressive team comp they could have done this as well, they did b4 but Raven changed the team comp and stragety. What DZ has now is basically a top 3 QB, a one of the other top 3 QBs who now plays reciever and is top notch at that too, and a top 3 rb. Having a reciever who used to play QB opens up offenses and you see it with DZ.
Seeing Hal on DZ with Zero & Gen is refreshing. I'm a TSM fan and sorry to all the TSM fans ( I like Hal playing with Evan & Jordan), but I guess DZ's composition is at it finest. Born of a new era. Let's see what they made of for upcoming tournaments. I'm so excited.
If they truly start to win everything, they are going to evolve the way the game is played. Everyone else in the lobby has to but their work shoes on and get gud in order to keep up. I cant wait to see how insane pro lobbies are going to look if a few teams evolve to play as good as DZ.

I'd say the new drop ship system came just in time to nerf the new DZ and give other teams a chance because if it was still the old drop ship system where the new DZ has certain POIs, they would be absolutely dominating even more than before, every team would be avoiding them, it'd be like the USA basketball team in the Olympics, they'd be expected to win 90% of the time

Zero has been making great macro calls and Hal has been calling out repeatedly on micro moves/team positions, correctly predicting what teams near them will do and gen goes brrrr

Verhulst has better roller mechanics but not to the point of it making a huge difference. Gen gets less nervous too so that helps in pro league. Gen is also a bit better at switching characters for a meta. Verhulst himself has said he struggles on some legends and prefers characters like Cat and Valk over any character he’s played in the recent split. Imo, in a strict 1v1 verhulst likely wins most of the time against gen, but in a team situation gen wins.

TMPR don't even belong in pro league. I remember when they lost the contest to FaZe match day 1 yet they still kept contesting nonstop being one of the most stupid team.
They pretty much just threw all their chances just to drag FaZe down with them.

He’s already exceeded the pressure. He can do whatever he wants. He doesn’t have to prove himself anymore
It’s not that deep. He played with Jordan and Verhulst for a while and felt like he needed a change. Tsm became lazy after their year 3 performance
at the end of the day its a competition, you want to be the best and you want to win and its more likely to happen when you join the best team.
He stayed in the same org longer than almost any apex pro. Besides basically just reps. Nothing wrong with wanting change and stuff. You can tell he didn’t wanna igl anymore, and if he’s playing with Evan and Jordan, he is going to be igl no matter what
