Overall a very good list imo, the only issues for me is the positioning of : right in two, the pot and pneuma. id bump right in two to god tier, the pot to masterpiece, and pneuma to masterpiece. Apart from those i pretty much agree. Keep up the TOOL content. great watch as usual
I concur. These adjustments made and I'm good with the list. Granted, I'd like to see Intension up a bit. Intension was the track that actually got me to relisten to this album.
@@pyatt666 overhyped yes, but nevertheless a great song, the clean vocals took me a while to get used to but i find myself fond of them now, the sexy bass intro line . For me the pot is a masterpiece.

Ohhh man… the entire video I’m thinking “holy shit, finally somebody who I agree with pretty much 100 percent”…. Then…. Fear Inoculum, which I consider to be tools best album. If you haven’t already, take a heavy dose of psychedelics and listen to this album immediately. One love.
idk, I'm kinda with him. Fear Inoculum has some good songs but man a bunch of them do sound too similar, and maynard is showing his age a bit. I could never get behind it being their best, but glad some people are enjoying it that much
If I said this to a Tool fan irl they’d probably kill me, but I think Fear Inoculum is their worst album. 14 years for only 6 actual songs with lyrics and the songs are mostly instrumental, and the only one that hits kinda hard is Descending
Lateralus and Fear Inoculum are my favorite Tool albums. Lateralus is pretty self explanatory as to why it's great but fear inoculum is great for me because it feels like they matured with the album (and they did). I love the long cinematic buildups of the songs as well as that classic Tool sound that is perfected in fear inoculum in my opinion.
so far I have enjoyed this video, and I will continue to do so. 99% of your opinions are W's, but how dare you fob off Triad like that hahaha, one of my most favourite tool songs out there. Love the vids bro, keep it up

Fear Inoculum is what I call a "grower". Unlike previous albums it doesn't immediately jump out and make a bold statement. This album requires patience, and a good 10-12 listens to really understand. But once you do, it just keeps getting better and better. If they hadn't included Chocolate Chip Trip and Mockingbeat I'd call Fear Inoculum a perfect album.
Yeah this is pretty spot on to be fair. Lateralus my all time album and song. Deserving of top spot. Most of FI deserves to be higher up the list however. Nice work
Great list! I must admit to thinking fear inoculum as an album was just fine. But having now listened to it dozens of times I’ve changed my opinion. I really felt invincible outstayed its welcome at first and yet now it’s one of my favourite Tool songs. What a band 🤟🏻

Would loved for the song to be played just a little bit, but I know that would’ve made the video much longer, but still great video!
I was introduced to tool in highschool. I went through all their stuff and listened a bunch. At a party, I told a huge tool fan that I thought 10,000 days was their best album, my favorite at least. He stared at me like he was going to take my life before essentially screaming at me about how wrong I was hahahah. I love disposition and intention - not popular w/ most I've talked to. Jambi and Right in two - God Tier. Also, you're wrong about every other ranking as well ; )
10,000 Days definitely has their best song, 10,000 Days (Wings for Marie pt. 2) It makes me cry every time. Just thinking about my mother's illnesses and her mortality.
@@pestilentfellow3609 sorry to hear about your mom. That is a great song and I'm sure it strikes an extra chord for you. I love Judith too. 10,000 days is a great album. Wings for Marie hits me a lot even tho my mom is still alive. It just reminds me of her mortality and the fact that I'll have to let her go one day. She's the best person I know and I love her more than anyone. It's a beautiful song. You can tell how much he loved his mom, mostly through the fact he basically wrote his longest song for her lol, but the lyrics are incredible and the instrumentals are gorgeous. Rosetta Stoned is my favorite off of the album tho. It gives BIG primus vibes HDHDBDN. 10/10 would shit the bed again.
Great list! I would place Pneuma a little higher though. It's fair to say it has achieved drum-god status with the Vic Firth vid. Greetings from greece❤❤
Aside from the following, good list. H needs to go to bottom of god tier and Pneuma to bottom of masterpiece. They are both tool’s most tightly written and complete songs (somehow tight as a 6 minute and 11 minute song). Difference between them is Maynard having his most beautiful performance, lyrically and vocally on H.
The majority of this ranking I agree with other than Fear Inoculum (the album as a whole). I genuinely love fear inoculum and think it's one of my favorite albums of theirs. A few other songs I disagree with but as a whole it's a solid list 👍
I wasn't a 10000 days fan when it came out, but it grew on me. I really liked fear inoculom when it came out, I felt the vocals fell a little flat but considering age and 30 years of screaming I accepted the fact that his voice can't handle it anymore, in the 2010s he really started to struggle with his voice and has had to learn to adjust, they play songs different live know and has adjusted well but it wont be the same as late 90s and early 2000s. The band always plays lights out though.
I'll never forget the first time in 2001 when I bought lateralus, put my headphones on then the grudge hit and I was hooked. Salival version of pushit is one i would put a top of god tier.
As much as I love the pot I I'd say this tier list is on point. I'd say tool started tapering off with 10,000 days. I've listened to the new album like twice.
