I hope you enjoyed this commercial street photography video for Burger King: trovatten.com/commercial-stre...
Honestly, for a commercial gig where you are heavily influencing the scene these are some of the most real photos you’ve taken. I think you killed it! I can’t imagine trying to get that classic street photography look while dropping a whopper in a strangers hands
Great to be back ❤️Watch my series "How To Take Photos Like" - ua-cam.com/play/PLQAJ8pSCXDc6eeFnrjnBnvXyPYNNUQzph.html
Frederik, I couldn’t be happier about you being chosen for this project. You have both the street photographer’s savvy for creating moments and the commercial sensibilities to pull off something that feels genuine and spontaneous while being made for a brand. It was so awesome to see you skating alongside the boarder. As someone who has worked in advertising and is now into photography, this kind of behind-the-scenes is gold. Thank you for sharing it. Also, so good to see you back on YT. I hope BK paid you big bucks for the shoot. 😊
Of all the photography videos I’ve seen this was the most interesting, entertaining and informative. And most importantly, inspiring. Thanks for pulling back the curtain and sharing how this all came together. (And great shots!).
Advertising isn't exactly my wheelhouse, but as a business major, business owner, and someone who has worked in many different industries at many different levels, this campaign makes me think someone at BK had a stroke of genius. They want to promote their removal of additive colors, flavors and artificial preservatives, and they selected you. As a recent follower, you strike me as devoid of...uh...artificial flavors. Among the more recent videos of yours that I've watched, you showed an early (first?) run with a Canon film camera where you missed exposure. Another where you ran a 400 black and white film, setting the camera to 800 ISO where you likely wanted 200 ISO. You document the reality of experience. You put some of your learning process on display. You show what's....real? Burger King wants to show showcase their...shall we say more "real" food. I just think this was a great fit. I've no doubt your final work will hold up to scrutiny. You and BK both make a win with the release of this video alone, and it's probably left an indelible mark on me, as a casual viewer (who happens to be about a mile from a Burger King, and lunch is in a couple of hours and.....hmm...)
those pictures were amazing, especially the "disgusting" ones. even knowing they were staged they seemed real! this was brilliant work!
Frederik - this blew me away. As you mentioned, street photography is hard enough, sometimes just by asking permission you completely destroy the original "natural" scene. Then adding hamburgers and asking non-models to act naturally and to get the images you got, all I can say is bravo. Very inspiring stuff.
Shots were bangers but your telling of the process topped those.
Burger King got some prize photos from you Frederik. Brilliant. 📷😎👍👋
Finally an awesome street photography project. You definitely nailed it. My favourite image is the 4 garbage guys eating the burgers at the back of the garbage truck. That image could have 4 different interpretations, depending on who is viewing it.
Amazing amazing amazing... and amazing that you shared this project and it's backstory with us. Thanks!!!
Love it. Great that you documented a pro photo shoot.
Great video! This was really fun. Sometimes we "bite of more than we can chew" with projects!
Inspiring work as always ❤
Loved it.. Some very large prints in the exhibition 😊
your work is absolutely incredible!
fantastic experience!! Thanks for sharing!!
I think this project, you needed times, class perspectives and super start photos, even if they are posed. Perfect
Nice job man!! Congratulations 🎉
Frederik, I have watched a number of your vids and do enjoy them. I have watched your style improve and mature. This one is the best of all I have seen of your work. You are in the zone with these, bro, you are in the zone. As for the ad agency, they are a bunch of moronic critics and critics are legless men who teach running. That you got anything by them is a mark of skill and savvy. I hope that this foray into advertising is the beginning of big bucks and doing so without a diminishment of artistic skill. Tak!
I'm so happy for you!!! Those photos are stunning!!! I was smiling for the whole video, well done! congrats!!
Who would've thought commercial photography could be this much fun.
Fantastic news, Frederik, congratulations! You're incredibly talented and it was a richly deserved commission. Mad skating skills too! 😁
Thank you so much David! Much appreciated!
This is fantastic! Great photos. Congrats
Incredible, so impressive.
Increíble trabajo, Frederik! Muy inspirador! Enhorabuena. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Fantastic!! Well done sir!
i've been dying (not literally!) and waiting for a new Frederik video and it's great as ever to finally see a new one show up! Thanks for making some of my favorite and amazing photography content man, really appreciate everything you put together with your style!
Congrats Frederik! We're happy for you!
Congrats on this project! Those pictures are real emotion and real art instead of an artificial ad campaign :)
Great video! Cool project! And awesome photos! Congratulations on being chosen for the project! Thanks for sharing with us!
This is one the best, most comprehensive videos I've seen on working with an agency as a photographer. So happy you got to do this awesome work and thank you for documenting the process for all of us!
amazing. congrats frederik. well deserved!
Awesome Frederik, one of the best videos i've seen for some time, really love your honesty on the difficulties you encountered. Awesome work buddy, pictures are ace! 🤓🤟
Congrats, you did really good. I hope you get more projects like this one!
Congratulations! Food photography is difficult enough when it's only the food as the subject. Fantastic work and documentation! I enjoyed this immensely!
Great shots Frederik
Great campaign Fred. Loved the idea. It should be an honor to be considered among those photographers. Congrats man. I think/hope it became a catalyzer for your career. Also, I am so glad that street photography and a street photographer get appreciated in professional area as well. Cheers :)
Fantastic BTS of the shoot Frederik! Mega flot!
Nice to see good guy with ethic and talent getting Street photo jobs.
Frederik, Absolutely brilliant, you've really captured what the brief required, every shot was a winner, and well done to Burger King to give you the chance to shine.
Brilliant video and story - you deserve every success for the last few years…..it’s easy to see why they chose you! :- )
Beautiful work❤️
So wonderful and inspiring! Thank you! I am going to Mexico City in a couple months and now very excited about shooting street while I am there!
Well deserved gig. You are among the best. Congrats!
This is 100% compelling in so many ways. The cultural nuances, vibes that are delivered and taken, being able to find subtle elements that may be "hidden" truly make for epic hurdles, moments, and photos. Epic.
Oh man, this is just great!!!!
Bro, this is fantastic. Simultaneously hilarious and cool and envious. 👌🏻
I noticed you always ask people if you can take their photos. Is this out of courtesy or legal obligations in Mexico?
This is amazing bro. I dream of bring able to land a gig like this someday where I can both capture my beautiful people and doing it my way. Love how you showcase nuestra gente and it's always done with admiration and respect. Eres genial hermano. (and I totally felt you on the impostor syndrome kicking in. I would be freaking out too).
This was absolutely wonderful! I love the faces and the happiness your subjects showed when they worked with you on this project. Couldn't be happier for you Frederik!! Congratulations!
Amazing photos dude! Congrats on the project. And honestly, huge props to Burger King for actually doing an interesting campaign and working with an interesting photographer!
Congrats Fredrik, the photos look great!✨And such an interesting BTS/doc to see.
Great to see your work being pushed for an opportunity like this! Really interesting hearing about the build up and process of how it is undertaken and not just "I did this job and these are the photos" etc
Great and interesting video! Thanks!
This was fantastic!
I follow you you since 2018. Absolutely you create incredible content Frederik. Lots of love from Turkey.😇
Really good. Congratulations!
Really wonderful photo shoot, Frederik, and video. The pictures are fantastic and I appreciate your commentary (I was especially surprised when the picture from Alicante came up). Me gusto todo!
This was riveting from start to finish. Congrats Frederik and fantastic work!
well done, you held your nerve and returned to the photography you are best at and why they chose you. the results look great
I am glad to see you back at work.
So proud of you! Thank you for explaining everything. It was so helpful!❤
This was great! Awesome pictures! And now I'm hungry!!!
Absolutely love this video. I've enjoyed your "shoot like" vids in the past but this was the best street photography video I've watched on UA-cam! The sheer joy in the process that you communicate is infectious! Thank you!
Excellent work Frederik! Thoroughly enjoyed the video.
Legend! So glad youre back!
Congratulations! You really deserve it.
Loved your interactions with the people around
This was just amazing. Great video and spectacular images, from all that hard work! Also, I must say, what a great idea to use street photography in ad campaigns. I hope it catches on and companies use more and more of it.
Great job Frederik and congrats with the project- I wish we could see which images BK chose to put in the museum exhibit.
What an incredible story and truly amazing images I bet the other two photographers that you were up against couldn't shoot pictures whilst rollerblading.
Great story and great photographs. I really felt the challenge you went through.
Really stoked for you getting this gig, Frederik. Quite an insight.
My gosh....! So authentic and creative, love it! 🤩😎
Glad you like it :)!
So pleased for you Frederick! Wonderful mono, fab photos, excellent narrative 👏👏👏
Congratulations man! This is a big deal!
First of all, congrats on the job. What an interesting and challenging thing to do... Second of all, thank you for creating this video and showing the process so clearly. Super interesting and informative. Keep up the great job!
Beautifully shot project 🙏
So great! WIth all the challenges you faced, it really turned out amazing! I'm a big fan!!
CONGRATULATIONS! So happy to hear you got this opportunity, much deserved and gorgeous photos. They inspire me to go out and have some fun taking street photography :)
My deepest respect for your work and how you treat and collaborate with people 👍👍👍👍
Well done Fredrik ! Really superb images. Such an honest interview/docu. Heart warming to watch and see you 'making it to the big time' - well deserved ! You give hope to us all struggling photographers. Congratulations on an amazing job/opportunity/break thru/creative achievement ! Nice one...
I'm happy for you! cool project, I wish you further success
Amazing job! Great shots/video! Big Congrats Frederik
Brilliant video Frederik! This insight is rare and priceless…
Such a great video! Can’t wait to see more!!
Great work! The photos are amazing even though they were faked to look spontaneous. You've managed to direct non-models very beautifully and if you hadn't said that the poses were pre-arranged, I would confidently believe that they weren't.
Amazing hard work.
Amazing work ! Great to see you taking street photos in Mexico once more
Brilliant !!!
Everything about this video is dope. This campaign is genius. The images you captured in this series so good 👌. Definitely one of my favorite vids. If this ever makes it as a book I'd definitely buy it.
Great insight into the project! Thanks for sharing and documenting 🙏
So interesting and inspiring. I appreciate the effort you took to both produce the project and also this video. A side of photography not shown enough is the work that goes in to campaign work and this cross-genre work is really interesting to witness. Thanks for sharing this journey. Your video came up in my feed and I’m now a subscriber.
That was an awesome video. Thank you for making and sharing this behind the scenes project. What a huge challenge, but big opportunity for you. Your explanations about and creativity in implementing the project were really terrific. I love your images!
Congratulations Frederick! You’re a really talented street photographer and I’m glad the assignment was a success! 👏👏
Well done! These are a beautiful series and I hope you are proud of the outcome.
This is without a doubt my absolute most favourite video you have EVER produced. It's so epic. I love everything about it. Thank you for producing this Frederik!!
