In 2002 in Maryborough Victoria my son and I moved into an old (for Australia) house. Strange things started happening, mainly items leaping off our bookshelves but never breaking and food would shoot out of the fridge when we opened the door. It wasn’t things falling, they were leaping off. At night I would always smell Boronia perfume (a Boronia is a lovely little native plant) in my bedroom, which was the master bedroom. And cigarette smoke. But the house never felt scary, we were never afraid there at all. Even when alone there at night I never felt uncomfortable at all. We got so used to it that if something shot off a shelf we would say hello, and just put the item back. It lasted the entire 3 yrs we lived there and never happened to us again after that. It’s been a long time but we still talk about it and the fact that we were never creeped out by it at all.
For the person who pointed out we lack the ability to measure certain things I would point out that many many modern scientists really don’t want to admit that.
Why is it that all of these stories involve people being children, in an altered state of mind (asleep or nearly, or grieving) and/or it being night time. No one ever has experiences in the middle of the day, in a crowded space, surrounded by adults. Also, why are these experiences always about ghosts or dead loved ones. A paranormal experience is never a suspension of normal physics or some one performing an impossible feat.
I mean, I wouldn’t call being asleep and waking up or sleepy an altered state of mind. Nothing about the brain chemistry has changed, functioning like normal. Now if they had dropped acid tabs or ate some shrooms or some shit, that would def be an altered state of mind and explain some of this. But it’s not like that. We can’t even get down pat the full laws of our reality. We’re also discovering new stuff everyday. It would be naive to think that there’s nothing else out there. Things the human brain can’t even begin to comprehend. All I know, is when a female voice whispers your name in the night (I worked 12’a at this time in my life, 3pm-3am and had just gotten home and sat down for maybe 3 minutes at most) as your scrolling through your phone, followed by the growl of dogs, where neither physically exist, out in the country with no one around you for miles, it makes you think. Maybe not believe, but you’ll definitely be thinking wtf.
@@willyboy7141 Everything different from focused, alert condition is altered state of consciousness. Tiredness, hunger, emotional extremes, meditative states and much more qualifies extremely well and can cause extremely vivid, strange experiences under proper conditions. We do not know everything there is to know about our universe by a long shot, but taking that as an excuse to double down on the ignorance and validate superstitions without a basis is not especially constructive. People have strange experiences that they can't explain all the time, but assuming that because you can't explain it it has to conform to your pre-existing cultural expectations simply has no intellectual basis. One person insists ghosts, another demons, the third psychic imprints, the fourth fairies or nature spirits and so on, depending on what they want to feel validated for. For your experience, auditory hallucinations are extremely commonplace across the world. Most of the time we never even notice. Our brain tries to make sense out of vague signals it's working with and sometimes fails. We all occasionally see or hear things that aren't really there for a secondor two at the time. It's only when the hallucination is persistent that we start to view it as a mental illness. Your attention was elsewhere and some random sound that you didn't expect filtered through your consciousness into a person's voice.
@@Lightice1 nah mate. That’s normal brain chemistry, everything but emotional extremes. And sorry, but just no mate. You can believe whatever you want to believe. That it is ignorance or what have you. But until you experience it, there is nothing you can say to change my mind. Auditory hallucinations? Cmon now. No history of mental illness or hallucinations. I wasn’t even “sleepy” at the time. And not constructive, mate we can’t perceive what others perceive. Whatever they say, I’ll give the benefit of the doubt because of my own experiences. I never said demons, nature spirits etc. I said something I can’t explain. You can believe in hard science if you want to, I usually do as well. But do not waste my time with drivel like everything is all in your head like you’re talking to children. Sure some people might have it that way. But it would be very naive and dishonest to say that oh everyone is just suffering from a bout of mental illness that is sudden in its onset produces visual/auditory hallucinations and disappears quickly. Without any treatment or history. Naive, and very implausible. I’m not saying everyone is right in what they saw, or that they’re not just pulling your leg. But not even science can explain everything. Good day sir.
@@willyboy7141 Yes, normal brain chemistry can and does qualify as altered state of consciousness. Exhaustion and hunger causing hallucinations is a well documented fact and the same goes for deliberately induced meditative states. Everything we perceive about this world is a construct of our brain based on sensory input. And our brain can and does make mistakes all the time. Most of the time in so minor ways that you never notice, but every now and then the error can feel dramatic. And I can assure you that every single person on this planet hallucinates on occasion. It only becomes a matter of mental illness if the hallucinations are continuous. I don't doubt at all that people have experiences they can't explain sometimes, but concluding that "I can't explain it, therefore it must be ghosts/demons/psychic powers etc." is just a ridiculous jump to make. Rather than dismissing the inexplicable as magic, you should try to practice analytical thinking on them, figuring out possible ways by which they could occur.
I always wondered that too but mine was day time…in a restaurant, lunchtime with my niece, and I ordered a saki. .A man’s voice said , “This is your last drink.” It was. I had not had a drink in two days at that time. So I was not under the influence. That was 18 years ago. It was not my voice, so no inner monologue. I am female.
I can't remember if anything really weird happened to me but once my friend wsa on the phone with me as I was alone in the house and she made a comment like "that baby is so loud" it was so weird but she said she could hear ababy crying clear as day in my background. I didn't even have a tv on or anything.
Got another one, great grandmother ran a restaurant in downtown Owensboro KY. Talked to her for three hours about it a several months ago, made the joke that wouldn't be able to get it edited and uploaded until after she passed, few months later before she passed, three different items I saved the recording on are all without that EXACT file, ALL other files are intact. My anger was palpable. I wanted to get it edited and uploaded, and it's just fking gone. It was the happiest I saw her in years.
I experienced this, my aunt (not biological but she's my mom's boss and bestfriend) passed away due to a medical malpractice. She always took care of everyone including us. When she was buried I dreamt about seeing her and she hugged me and said take care of my Mom from now on then she was gone. I knew it was just a dream since I'm a non believer but her neice had the same dream asking her to take care of her mom too.
My cousin passed in January 2022 and before he got sick he had just gotten his license and my grand father helped him rent a car but was upgraded to a red jeep. He would drive people anywhere they wanted and we were so proud of him. After he passed we noticed that we would see this red car at important days or moments, drs appointment where we were going for testing, his daughters first day of school and her kindergarten graduation. The car was at a recent drs appointment I had as I was there to get alot of test ran. The craziest one is my uncle-his stepfather recently passed and that same red jeep was out side the funeral home and the hospital I went to with my when she learned he was sick (the were estranged but still married). We truly believe that this car at these very important and nerve-wracking moments is him saying I'm here I got you.
I believe in dream telepathy. when I fall asleep with fractal zooms(abs() variations of mandelbrot work best, I don't believe mandelbrot or it's abs() variatins are in any way connected to spirituality or paranormality, it's my way to lucid dream faster than I'd normally fall asleep) and remember a chat with a friend who's also sleeping, we have a shared dream. In shared dreams I trick them into logging into their minecraft account, and I remember the password because I'm lucid, then I become freddy krueger.
You don't know how unreasonably excited I had gotten at the mention of " Garden of the gods" my family likes to go on hikes there when my aunt makes a visit to colorado
22:55 we already have a way to detect the community-liminal (whole community sees it, it's not a real person, often created from a legend) type of ghosts - thermometer array. ghost walks through it, and we get a 3d model of the ghost save in computer. it's also easier to build the array that it's to find the a community-liminal ghost.

Look behind me up The stairs there was nobody there Still remember clear as day
Sometimes I think I see things zoom by (probably not paranormal). One time I did get a really weird feeling stepping into a room, but I can't remember if it was stepping from different types of flooring that caused it. Though I had stepped that way many times before and never had that feeling.
I have cousins who can see ghost really clear. One time while video calling a friend, a little girl can be seen behind her despite was alone at that time. She screenshot it and post it on family group. The appearance of the girl was kinda like bluish pale dark, you can really tell its not a human from the appearance despite looking like a little girl. And the image quality was decent too as you can see features. Too bad i delete it because i was scared accidentally looking it while browsing galleries
