Long one. My father was a mountain man. He spent every bit of his free time in the woods. Hunting, fishing, hiking, camping. Every weekend he was gone. Holidays. Christmas morning he would get up before the sun and everyone else and get dressed in his hunting gear. The rest of us would get up and open presents before sun up. Then my father would leave to go hunting or scout for the weekends hunt. If it wasn’t hunting season he was tracking deer and elk movement. Tracking predator movements like bobcat, bear, and mountain Lion. Fishing took up the rest. All summer in mountain rivers, lakes and streams. He knew every animal by sound, by track, by scat and even smell. He knew what plants or mushrooms you could safely eat or what you could eat in an emergency but would make you sick and the ones that would outright kill you. He knew what plants or tubers you could use to soothe sun burn, stinging nettle, poison ivy, and bee stings. He knew what plants you could use for antibiotics. You could drop him in the most rugged parts of North American, come back in a year and he would have a mansion if a shelter built and enough food stockpiled to feed an army. He did all this hunting and fishing not for sport but to feed our family. The only things we bought at the store were toiletries and certain herbs and spices we couldn’t grow ourselves. In the winter we bought vegetables. In spring and summer we grew our own. No one knew the outdoors like him. When I was about 6 years old we were out camping. We did real camping. No tent. No camp ground. Just sleeping bags and a dug out fire pit. But when mom came along we brought the camper on the truck because, well it was mom. We were sitting around the fire about 10pm when a few miles away there was a low guttering bellow that crescendoed into a high pitched terrible scream. My mother looked at my dad and asked what is was. My father didn’t answer right away. His head tilted slightly like a dog hearing a new sound. He then simply said that he wasn’t sure. This immediately terrified my mother and she got up and went straight into the camper. I asked my dad if it was an elk but he said not this late at night. Then about 30 minutes later the sound came again but much closer. My dad slowly got up and piled all of our remaining firewood on the fire and told me to go into the camper. I did as told. A couple minutes later he came in and turned off the lights. The fire outside was higher than the camper. He looked at me and my mother and told us to be absolutely quiet. He sat down on a bench by the table and peered through a gap in the window curtain. After a while, over the crackling of the fire, we could here the distinct sound of sticks breaking like someone was stepping on them. I was terrified but somewhere I fell asleep. I woke up just as the sky was starting to lighten up and saw my father still sitting at the window only he had his rifle in his hands. I stayed quiet and when the sun was up my father went outside. I jumped up and followed him waking my mother and she came out as well. The fire was just smouldering coals at this point and my father was walking the perimeter of the camp looking for whatever it was. The tall grass had obvious trails where it looked like legs had moved through followed by flattened spots where an obviously large foot has stepped but the grass was thick enough to not leave a print. My dad told my mom to pack everything and we were leaving. He never elaborated on what he thought it was and he never spoke to me about it after that night. I asked him once if it was Bigfoot. He simply smiled a half smiled and told me to not be silly. He died a month before my 7th birthday in 1982 while in the woods scouting for the upcoming hunting season. A massive stroke took him while in the arms of his best friend. I miss that man and the amazing things he could have taught me. What he managed to teach me in that short time has stayed with me forever.
110% was Sasquatch
Where was this at?
What I expected: aliens and Bigfoot.
What I got: SO MANY DR0G DEALERS!
I can’t imagine the situation the first person was in. A guy who clearly wasn’t their for hunting was walking quickly to your dad with a Glock in their hand. Gives me chills to think of what might have happened if OP wasn’t their.
Betting the guy was a fed. Drug money disappears all the time.
I would have wondered if Alfred Hitchcock had come back and was filming his newest movie.
probably a druggy making sure the dad saw nothing.
My bet would be drug related. Sale or grow op.
The solution for most of these? Copper-jacketed lead, at high velocity.
Good for bobcats, mountain lions, dogs, bears, humans, meth-heads and sasquatch.
On my first hunt in Alaska, it was mid-winter. I had decided to make camp next to a frozen lake. My second night, I woke up to a very loud thundering sound. I listened for a moment after I calmed my nerves, and I heard the most ominous, chilling, ethereal sound I had ever heard firsthand.
It sounded like the wind was blowing glass shards over a foil sheet mixed with thunder and echoing popping sounds that sounded like stormtrooper blasters.
That sound terrified the absolute fuck out of me, and I genuinely thought some creature was about to kill me and eat my corpse.
As it turns out, that was the sound large bodies of water make when they freeze.
Once I got over the terror of that event three days later, it was actually a beautiful sound.
If it didn’t scare me, I would have stayed up all night listening to that sound.
For the naked uncle story, the dad and the uncle probably talked about that area. Really wild coincidence
Great opening card, oof
Here is my scary story. I'm not a hunter anymore. Instead I like camping. I'm in the north woods of the USA Wisconsin.
Last year, on a trip at a small campground. It was our last night, most others have left the night before.
Well me and my gf went to sleep about midnight. Around 3am 330am I got woke up by something outside the tent.
Thought I heard something like a snort.
Then once I started to fall back asleep. I heard it again and felt something bump my head from the other side of the tent.
I jumped up. Grabbed my machete and my flashlight and bolted out of the tent.
To see three timber wolf's trotting through the campgrounds. Omfg that was close.
The next am I found one of the wolf's tracks and a pile of poop close to my tent.
Now I also carry bear spray that would also give any animal one hell of a surprise. Just in case.
Why did you say hunters but write the words about doctors on the video?
It’s a mistake
The "black bear one" 😂
00:00 So its about hunters or doctors?
a member of the hunting group surrounded by beer cans and clearly drunk with a shotgun in hand. he actually shot at a group member (he missed) and he's still allowed to hunt & have guns. police were called but they didnt even show up.
also the time we heard a man clearly singing in the woods. nobody lives there, the distance is far too long for anyone to walk (+15km from the nearest house/cabin) and there weren't any cars or footprints. i refuse to go there anymore, got a really bad feeling about that one lmao
Scariest thing i saw was in the Alaskan Woods. It was snowing and i was walking in the forest off the trail and saw a small white wolf with a little human girl's face. It stood up on its hind legs when it saw me and after a few seconds of neither of us moving it went back down and ran off.
as a kid hunting quail with my uncle Frank in the Okeefenokee Swamp, we saw a Moose dressed like Sherlock Holmes singing "embraceable you" we ran screaming for our lives. we reported it to the police but they didn't believe us. i still have nightmares.
LOL
@@scottthacker4167 i'm telling the truth, seems you don't believe me too. my medical bills are enormous since Medicare doesn't believe me either. i have written to Dr. Grande for help,
How high were you?
18:18 you should give them blankets

First and foremost, a whole pile of scary tales - paranormal or not.
That being said, now I have that friggin' song by Ylvis stuck in my head.... you know "The Fox"!?! Better known as "What Does The Fox Say". Ugh.
Me to a patient: You should exercise more, lose weight, not drink, not eat greasy/fatty foods, and should see the doctor regularly.
Also me: I'm definitely going to McD's after work and washing it down with a six pack!!
I was fishing off a dog but my dad one time we were sitting here fishing in a big ass water mosque and fell as a tree at his school we never hauled ass so fast in our lives whenever fished on that dog again I tell you
