the soundtrack for tenchi muyo....crazy hard to find all of them. alot of places just don't have it. although if you do, alot of nice BGM's and japanese and english songs. this one in particular sounds better in japanese though. love it!
I always thought that Tenchi Muyo, Universe, in Tokyo, and the special OVAs had the better singers in their original Japanese soundtracks. English was ok, but even though I seen the English first on Toonami, I took a look into the Japanese versions, and it sounds more natural than the English versions of the songs. Then again, only so much you can do with foreign lyrics and scripts.
#2017Squad! XD I got into this a year and a bit ago! Because of Tenchi Muyo and this song I've become fond of other Animes (I didn't even know what it was at first XD)
wiiztec indeed it is. That was something that was lost in translation. Ms. Orikasa (Ryoko) also sings the original version of The Lonely Moon. Oh, and Dimension Of Love too
I can't understand for the life of me why people would want to listen to the English version. English is one of the ugliest/most boring sounding languages on this planet. Just LISTEN to this Japanese version, how amazing and expressive it sounds. I don't understand a word either but I'd rather read subtitles than endure the pain of those corny English dialogues. The English dub always sounds like utter shit.
+chubbatheBOSS End yet you're expressing your disdain towards the English language... in English. idk, I really like the English version, mostly because the lady that plays Ayeka in English SINGS better than the Japanese Ayeka. Orikasa Ai is pretty much on par with the lady that did Ryoko's part in the song (PROBABLY Petrea Burchard) in terms of skill. And actually I can hear a lot of expression in the English version. But the 'expression' leans more towards the Western English audience, because you can't expect an English speaker to speak English the same exact way a Japanese speaker speaks Japanese. Mannerisms will always be different somewhere along the line. As for sub/dub standards, I too prefer Japanese subs over English dubs just about 99% of the time, but Tenchi is one of those few series that I would actually rather watch in English. (Well... up until GXP and Ryo-Ohki 3. Then... No. I switch to Japanese) I can actually watch the Slayers OVAs in English perfectly well, but I know it's going to be different because it's spoken in English and not Japanese-- while with the TV series, I will NEVER watch it in English, not because 'it sounds dull', but because the DUBBING itself is poor, as if scripted and acted out by 3rd-graders. Your abrasive opinions on the English language are kind of ridiculous to me, because in my opinion there IS no such thing as an 'ugly' or 'beautiful' language. It makes you sound like you're 12 when you say stuff like that. As a student in linguistics, I find your comments jarring and unpleasant and I think it would be in your best interest if you developed a better outlook rather than flinging shit at people simply for the things they prefer or use.
For once I actually agree with you on this. While the English version sounds alright, the characters are more in sync here in the Japanese version especially in the end when Ryoko and Ayeka's VA have a spat. Its hilarious.
I don't agree with you with your comment , to the fact, cause its so ugly.. by nature.. but at least those singers gave it there try when singing, even though its not that great, I wouldn't consider it utter shit , You shouldn't be so judgmental.. plus its comical , I could listen to both version, maybe they couldn't get the actors to sing in the song so they had to get different people , but seriously, Learn to respect !!
I hardly find anime music to be that memorable, with a few exceptions, but this one certainly is one of these.
Incredible duo ❤
Love this show! Always keep coming back to it years later!

I never got this song before since I only heard the Ryoko verse. But now I see that it's a song for Ryoko and Ayeka competing! IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW
The incorrigible pirate and the hopeful royal. And this time, I think the princess wins.
This really is the best anime duet…er, duel…ever!
song is simply amazing and to be treasured for decades even when yor having a bad day this song will put you in a good mood. :D
Tenchi in Tokyo theme can do that too though.
"OH~ HO HO HO HO HO! OH~ HO HO HO HO HO! OH~ HO HO HO HO HO- Ar'e?"

The one I can make an exception for in english is pioneer, that song goes hard in both languages
♥️🎶🔥🤧
This song is similar to Takako Okamura's song "Yume wo Akiramenaide"

Anyone have a translation?
It's also about ten his realtation to ryoko em guessing by the singingers accent there central or north eastern Japanese.
Is this sung by the voice actors? in english it isn't

It’s much more common for the voice actors to sing stuff like this in Japan.
@Soundwave91 You do know this show was Japanese before it was in English, right?
Tf i dont watch anime why is this in my recommended
Because UA-cam's algorithm is as stable as I am off my meds. Maybe less so.
Well either way, welcome. Have a burger on me.
